Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
Colossians 3:24 NKJV says: “Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.”
Can you really personify that? Is that who you are? Is that what you’re doing? I hope it is. I pray that it is, because it certainly can be. “Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.” God will reward you when you diligently serve Him. It’s in your hands. It’s your responsibility to pray earnestly, and then to work diligently for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. People need the Lord. It’s a desperate day in which we live. These are times when people are not really knowledgeable about what God has done for them. They don’t understand that Jesus died for their sins. That He was buried. That He rose again. And that by turning to Him from their sins; by believing with all their heart on the risen Lord Jesus Christ; they can live forever. And it is the responsibility of every believer to tell other people how to get to heaven. That’s why God says what He says: “that from the Lord you will receive the reward.” The reward is eternal life for the people with whom you are going to share God’s glorious Gospel. If you are not a believer, believe now. Turn to Jesus from your sins. And tell the world.
