Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
Listen carefully to Colossians 3:12 NKJV: “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering.”
It becomes your responsibility as a believer in Jesus Christ, if indeed you are, to have compassion on the people who may not be together with God, but whom you need to love in spite of anything or everything going on in your world. Listen again to these very special words: Put on tender mercies. Put on kindness. Put on humility. Put on meekness. Put on long-suffering. Sometimes we go as far as we can on the right road. But there’s nothing we can do to help the other person move in the direction that he or she should go. But we can ask, first of all, God for forgiveness, and anyone we have adversely affected. God wants us to understand that we are the elect of God. We’re holy. We’re beloved by Him, by the Lord Jesus Christ. And now it becomes our opportunity to put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and long-suffering. Every day, under every circumstance, God will make you usable and He will use you, if you will do what He asks you and me to do. Will you? Get it together with God right now.
