BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is endeavoring to let His disciples know that He will not be with them much longer. Listen, please, to John 16:12 NKJV: “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” Jesus is saying, “Okay, there are things you need to know. And I will let you know when it’s time.” But right now, let’s pray with each other, let’s pray for each other, and let’s work together to reach as many people as we can, as quickly as we can, as effectively as we can. That’s what Jesus and His disciples did together. Now it becomes our opportunity. That’s why we come to you every day, letting you know that God loves you, Jesus died for you, He was buried, He rose again the third day. All of this happened after Jesus said these words to His disciples. He knew it was going to come. He knew when it was going to happen. He knew where it was going to happen. He knew when it was going to happen. But they didn’t know. He was endeavoring to prepare them: He was going to be leaving them. But He was going to send to them, when the timing was right, the Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit, that Person of the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit – will indwell you too, when you are willing to personally “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus.
