BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.” That’s 1 Corinthians 15:3 NKJV
Paul is opening his heart to the church at Corinth, to the individual believers there. He is telling them that first of all he had received and then he shared God’s glorious Gospel: that Christ died for our sins. That’s the important part. It was for our sins – your sins and my sins – that Jesus Christ went onto the cross. It was for you that He died. It was for you that He was buried. It was for you that He rose again. And so as you look at the Bible, as you look directly at 1 Corinthians chapter 15, beginning with verse 3, know that Christ did die for our sins – your sins, my sins, the sins of everybody who will trust Him, who will turn to Him from sin and receive the gift of God eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Let’s share our faith. Let’s tell other people that they too can believe on Christ and be saved. There’s only one way to heaven. Admit you have sinned. Turn to Jesus from your sins. Believe on Him. Tell other people that they too, by believing, can have life that lasts forever.
