Episode description

"If you don't have a sense of self, you are always trying to emulate others, and it never really works."
This wise saying comes from today's Teen-y guest, my middle school mentor, and teacher, Señora Charito. Today we sat down and I was schooled on some very important life lessons and I was reminded that it is okay to take a break. On this episode, you will hear mindful lessons to help ground you, a little bit about my middle school past, and stories about recognizing the silence around you. Since leaving teaching, Charito has gone on to start the Seattle Heart and Mind, and after this episode, if you want to connect with her you can email her at sotero@seattleheartandmind.com or you can check our her gratitude journal @all.that.is.good
Thank you for tuning into this episode! Like I mentioned at the beginning of this episode on my Instagram I am doing Women Of Color Wednesdays every week on my stories. Be sure to check out my Instagram page @teen_y.podcast to see those every week, and get podcast updates!
Have a wonderful rest of your day!
