Microsoft Calls on Congress for Tougher Laws on Tech

Tech giant Microsoft recently called on Congress to enact tougher laws to make it illegal to defraud people using AI-generated voices and images and to require AI companies to build tech to identify fake AI images made with their products.  Critics and smaller tech companies have been skeptical of the approach, saying that new legislation as opposed by the tech giant may make it harder to upstarts in the segment to compete against them.  What say you?
