/Today we have a tech news story for you. General Motors has filed a patent for a self-cleaning touch screen that would eliminate the need for drivers to manually remove fingerprints. The display would use an invisible fourth type of L E D emitting violet light to activate a photocatalytic coating on the transparent material of the l e d. Anyways, this coating would react with moisture to decompose the organic material that makes up fingerprints.

Hmm. GM is hopeful the technology will eventually be used in its vehicles. So let's guess if successful GM self-cleaning touchscreen technology could prove beneficial to drivers. Who are short on time. Andan want their screens to stay clean. Clean screen displays are less distracting. and can help drivers focus on the road. While reducing glare and improving visibility.
