Episode description

Have you been wondering about using virtual field trips in special education? If so, this podcast episode today is the perfect listen for you.

My students love to go on field trips. And we usually go on one every week. This works well for us - it breaks up our week,. gets us outside and into different environments. But with everything going on, we haven't been able to go on any field trips.

And that's been a little hard for my students. Because a lot of them really rely on that break out of the classroom environment. I had seen some information about virtual field trips online but I was really apprehensive in the beginning because I just wasn't sure how my students would react to virtual field trips.

My students find it very difficult to sit and pay attention to a video on a screen for a long period of time. But I managed to find some great virtual field trips that they've loved and they've been really engaged with them.

Today in this podcast episode I'm sharing some of the virtual field trips that we've been using, and how we've been incorporating them into our learning. You can find all of the links that I mention in this podcast episode below.
