During the afternoon hours of March 16, 2023, a forty-five-year-old woman named Eleanor Hoppe got into her SUV and began the one-and-a-half-hour drive from her home in Charlottesville, Virginia to a hotel located in Warrenton.
To say Eleanor was excited about this road trip would be an understatement. She had been planning it for weeks. And as her car took the on-ramp to US 29 North and the white noise of rubber on asphalt hummed away—sexual fantasies flooded Eleanor’s mind.
