Episode description

Why do Western powers hate communism so much?

Following World War II, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States all had economic booms fueled by the new industrial revolution, and freshly communist China wanted in on that action, so Chairman Mao Zedong set into action a five-year plan that was designed to match the economic output of the United Kingdom as quickly as possible.

It was one of the worst humanitarian disasters in history.
