00:00:49,911 --> 00:00:50,911
[rudy]: so they

24
00:00:50,420 --> 00:00:51,420
[kristie_]: thank you.

25
00:00:50,691 --> 00:00:53,251
[rudy]: got some good. They got some good stuff going

26
00:00:53,411 --> 00:00:58,531
[rudy]: on this year. I think it's this is the first time that these organizations have all

27
00:00:53,414 --> 00:00:55,494
[lauren_stack]: They got some good stuff going on this year.

28
00:00:58,691 --> 00:01:05,091
[rudy]: teamed up and they're going to bring something special to the Uh annual a o a p, which

29
00:01:05,171 --> 00:01:09,731
[rudy]: is the Association of Aquatic Professionals conference this year coming up February

30
00:01:09,971 --> 00:01:11,811
[rudy]: fifth through the twelfth. Is it Julian?

31
00:01:13,422 --> 00:01:17,582
[juliene_hefter]: Yes, it is. We are actually partnering with quite a few organizations, so

32
00:01:17,662 --> 00:01:21,902
[juliene_hefter]: this is very exciting that we were able to work with Water Shape University

33
00:01:22,222 --> 00:01:25,502
[juliene_hefter]: and the Model Aquatic health Code to meet some needs of aquatic

34
00:01:25,742 --> 00:01:29,742
[juliene_hefter]: professionals that I don't think we probably were doing so well in the past,

35
00:01:29,822 --> 00:01:33,502
[juliene_hefter]: So this is really going to give us that opportunity to meet those needs in

36
00:01:33,362 --> 00:01:34,362
[juliene_hefter]: Ex, them,

37
00:01:35,331 --> 00:01:39,091
[rudy]: Well, that's that's absolutely awesome. Any time we can do anything, the further

38
00:01:39,651 --> 00:01:43,251
[rudy]: education of the folks that are out there in the field, the day to day boots on the

39
00:01:43,251 --> 00:01:48,371
[rudy]: ground. if you will. that is an amazing thing. Um. Lauren. how did you get involved in

40
00:01:48,531 --> 00:01:51,411
[rudy]: this larn stack with water shaped university?

41
00:01:55,251 --> 00:01:57,091
[rudy]: Learn, meet yourself. I'm sorry.

42
00:01:57,013 --> 00:01:58,453
[andrea_nannini]: Your mike is off. Yeah,

43
00:01:59,193 --> 00:02:00,193
[andrea_nannini]: go.

44
00:02:00,351 --> 00:02:01,351
[rudy]: that's okay.

45
00:02:00,834 --> 00:02:01,834
[lauren_stack]: Thank you

46
00:02:01,331 --> 00:02:02,851
[rudy]: No way. just pick up from there.

47
00:02:04,134 --> 00:02:07,094
[lauren_stack]: the first. The first thing. Yes, Um, I knew of the Association

48
00:02:06,882 --> 00:02:07,882
[juliene_hefter]: bye,

49
00:02:07,254 --> 00:02:11,254
[lauren_stack]: Aquatic Professionals conference when I, uh, spent a few years on the staff of

50
00:02:11,414 --> 00:02:16,374
[lauren_stack]: the National Swimming Pool Foundation, But Um, really, the the connection

51
00:02:14,702 --> 00:03:17,742
[juliene_hefter]: Isssssssss,

52
00:02:16,694 --> 00:02:21,414
[lauren_stack]: between Water Sha University coming to a O. a P. Uh, was a bridge through Sea,

53
00:02:21,654 --> 00:02:27,014
[lauren_stack]: Mack, Um and Uh, Susan Wickman, who works for the Council model, called a K

54
00:02:27,254 --> 00:02:31,974
[lauren_stack]: Code and I were talking. and uh, we just thought that it would be good for us

55
00:02:32,134 --> 00:02:37,174
[lauren_stack]: to get involved And I know that Juillan is working hard to cover all aspects

56
00:02:37,254 --> 00:02:41,094
[lauren_stack]: of the of the industrial segments, and that the builders, especially the

57
00:02:41,174 --> 00:02:45,654
[lauren_stack]: residential, but also you know commercial builders, Uh, was maybe a sector

58
00:02:45,894 --> 00:02:50,934
[lauren_stack]: that was not as prominently attending. And uh, that's something we could bring

59
00:02:50,834 --> 00:02:51,834
[lauren_stack]: to the table,

60
00:02:51,651 --> 00:02:57,811
[rudy]: Well, there definitely are a lot of folks in that. I mean, normally we talk about pool

61
00:02:58,051 --> 00:03:01,971
[rudy]: professionals, pool organizations, and look at things from the service side, pool

62
00:03:02,131 --> 00:03:07,811
[rudy]: builders, which definitely applies here. But you have a lot of talent on that aquatic

63
00:03:08,051 --> 00:03:13,171
[rudy]: side as well, so I imagine this is going to be a fantastic opportunity for them,

64
00:03:14,451 --> 00:03:17,731
[rudy]: Chrisy, how did you get involved? Did you kind of just get sucked in or did you

65
00:03:17,811 --> 00:03:19,891
[rudy]: volunteer? Did they force you?

66
00:03:21,102 --> 00:03:55,342
[juliene_hefter]: systemsssssssssssss,

67
00:03:21,440 --> 00:03:24,080
[kristie_]: Well, absolutely not. um. I mean

68
00:03:24,660 --> 00:03:25,660
[kristie_]: I,

69
00:03:26,640 --> 00:03:32,080
[kristie_]: i, um. I started, uh, my, my, my career in Aquatics And that's how I met Julian.

70
00:03:32,320 --> 00:03:38,080
[kristie_]: so I've known jue um since I was um, just getting started. Um, gosh, it's probably

71
00:03:38,240 --> 00:03:44,560
[kristie_]: been at least twenty years now, so um. I, I have uh, worked closely with her with

72
00:03:44,960 --> 00:03:51,920
[kristie_]: Um, n Rpa, and have Um, also now attended a A P, and spoke at a A P for the last

73
00:03:52,160 --> 00:03:56,640
[kristie_]: couple of years, and one of the things that her and I have talked about was this

74
00:03:56,880 --> 00:03:59,040
[kristie_]: need, Um to bring Um,

75
00:04:00,060 --> 00:04:01,060
[kristie_]: the public health

76
00:04:00,820 --> 00:04:01,820
[kristie_]: group

77
00:04:01,333 --> 00:05:59,653
[andrea_nannini]: Ssssssssssssss.

78
00:04:01,522 --> 00:04:02,522
[juliene_hefter]: S.

79
00:04:01,814 --> 00:06:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss.

80
00:04:01,920 --> 00:04:04,320
[kristie_]: that we work so closely with with the C, D,

81
00:04:04,480 --> 00:04:10,640
[kristie_]: C, with C Maac, Um, you know to bring them together with the Um. Industry, Uh,

82
00:04:04,542 --> 00:04:17,662
[juliene_hefter]: Andsss, andss,

83
00:04:10,720 --> 00:04:14,640
[kristie_]: professionals, the people that are running pools managing pools, Um, the people

84
00:04:14,960 --> 00:04:19,920
[kristie_]: that are coming to a o a p and getting everybody. And as like Lawuren said, And

85
00:04:20,080 --> 00:04:24,640
[kristie_]: just with getting Um, the builders and Um, you know the people that are designing

86
00:04:24,800 --> 00:04:30,080
[kristie_]: pools and get everybody in the same room so that we can have one conference where

87
00:04:24,862 --> 00:04:46,302
[juliene_hefter]: Ssation, Ascs system, Thatsssss,

88
00:04:30,400 --> 00:04:35,280
[kristie_]: all the needs are met. All the industries come together. We can have Um. You know

89
00:04:35,360 --> 00:04:39,920
[kristie_]: we're having an amazing Mac track that we're doing Um, in partnership with Um,

90
00:04:40,720 --> 00:04:46,080
[kristie_]: with the a o a P and water shape to bring these. you know, folks together these

91
00:04:46,240 --> 00:04:50,000
[kristie_]: speakers together. Um, because you know Lauren has heard certain connections.

92
00:04:50,122 --> 00:04:51,122
[juliene_hefter]: and American,

93
00:04:50,400 --> 00:04:54,640
[kristie_]: Um, that we maybe don't um at at the sea, Maac. And you know we have all these

94
00:04:54,720 --> 00:04:58,720
[kristie_]: public health professionals and I know that you know. in talking with Juene, it

95
00:04:58,800 --> 00:05:02,320
[kristie_]: was like Yes, we definitely need more of a public health presence at the

96
00:05:02,400 --> 00:05:07,440
[kristie_]: conference and Um, I think you know. I mean, I think a lot of us know in the

97
00:05:07,600 --> 00:05:13,680
[kristie_]: industry especially when it comes to uh, court cases and lawsuits. The Mac is what

98
00:05:13,840 --> 00:05:16,400
[kristie_]: is being referenced in these cases and

99
00:05:16,551 --> 00:05:17,551
[rudy]: Absolutely?

100
00:05:16,800 --> 00:05:21,280
[kristie_]: a lot of folks, Uh, that are. Yes, it, that is what is being referenced and

101
00:05:21,360 --> 00:05:26,000
[kristie_]: people need to know what that is. And so Um and I know a lot of Uh. Julian has

102
00:05:21,360 --> 00:05:26,000
[kristie_]: people need to know what that is. And so Um and I know a lot of Uh. Julian has

103
00:05:21,422 --> 00:05:53,102
[juliene_hefter]: andss, andsss, ands, messsssss,

104
00:05:26,080 --> 00:05:29,360
[kristie_]: done a great job and there' have been a lot of other speakers that have come to a

105
00:05:26,080 --> 00:05:29,360
[kristie_]: done a great job and there' have been a lot of other speakers that have come to a

106
00:05:29,520 --> 00:05:34,000
[kristie_]: a P. spreading the message of the Mac and sharing the Mac. And so a lot of people

107
00:05:29,520 --> 00:05:34,000
[kristie_]: a P. spreading the message of the Mac and sharing the Mac. And so a lot of people

108
00:05:34,160 --> 00:05:39,920
[kristie_]: are familiar with it, but we want to have. We really want to bridge that and bring

109
00:05:34,160 --> 00:05:39,920
[kristie_]: are familiar with it, but we want to have. We really want to bridge that and bring

110
00:05:40,240 --> 00:05:44,960
[kristie_]: Um, so that a Aquatics people that are out there running the facilities can get

111
00:05:40,240 --> 00:05:44,960
[kristie_]: Um, so that a Aquatics people that are out there running the facilities can get

112
00:05:45,200 --> 00:05:49,520
[kristie_]: together with the people that come to inspect their facilities, Because I think a

113
00:05:45,200 --> 00:05:49,520
[kristie_]: together with the people that come to inspect their facilities, Because I think a

114
00:05:49,520 --> 00:05:53,600
[kristie_]: lot of times there's a disconnect there and you get so worried as. Oh, my gosh.

115
00:05:49,520 --> 00:05:53,600
[kristie_]: lot of times there's a disconnect there and you get so worried as. Oh, my gosh.

116
00:05:53,760 --> 00:05:58,160
[kristie_]: The whole department's here, Um, and so that they can kind of talk about what the

117
00:05:53,760 --> 00:05:58,160
[kristie_]: The whole department's here, Um, and so that they can kind of talk about what the

118
00:05:58,240 --> 00:06:02,320
[kristie_]: public health side is looking at and what you know, like what those expectations

119
00:05:58,240 --> 00:06:02,320
[kristie_]: public health side is looking at and what you know, like what those expectations

120
00:06:01,814 --> 00:08:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss,

121
00:06:02,400 --> 00:06:06,240
[kristie_]: are, and that they are all on the same page. So for us it, you know after.

122
00:06:02,400 --> 00:06:06,240
[kristie_]: are, and that they are all on the same page. So for us it, you know after.

123
00:06:04,611 --> 00:06:06,211
[rudy]: I agree one hundred percent,

124
00:06:06,900 --> 00:06:07,900
[kristie_]: Yeah.

125
00:06:08,000 --> 00:06:12,320
[kristie_]: Yeah, when talking with Susan, who connected us, Yeah with Lauren at Water shape,

126
00:06:08,051 --> 00:06:09,251
[rudy]: I agree a hundred percent.

127
00:06:12,480 --> 00:06:16,640
[kristie_]: it was like we need to get Juan involved and have a bigger conversation, So that's

128
00:06:16,700 --> 00:06:17,700
[kristie_]: kind of how we got her.

129
00:06:18,211 --> 00:06:22,531
[rudy]: That is awesome. I let you know what When I saw the when I saw which organizations

130
00:06:22,611 --> 00:06:27,411
[rudy]: hear water, Sha University Association of Aquatic Professionals and the Counsel for

131
00:06:27,651 --> 00:06:33,171
[rudy]: the Mode Aquatic Health Code. The Cc. coming together. My first thought was is

132
00:06:34,371 --> 00:06:39,891
[rudy]: they dove ta so nicely together. You know, it just makes perfect sense. Now this

133
00:06:39,971 --> 00:06:44,211
[rudy]: conference were coming up on Ju. This is the eleventh year we've had it.

134
00:06:46,302 --> 00:06:50,622
[juliene_hefter]: Uh, this will be our eleventh year and we're really excited because we. One

135
00:06:50,782 --> 00:06:54,862
[juliene_hefter]: of our main goals for a a P is really to collaborate and partner with as

136
00:06:54,942 --> 00:06:59,102
[juliene_hefter]: many groups as possible. We want to be that one stop shop for those aquatic

137
00:06:59,262 --> 00:07:04,942
[juliene_hefter]: professionals, Um, commercial entities, health inspectors, um, builders,

138
00:07:05,182 --> 00:07:08,622
[juliene_hefter]: engineers, whatever it may be, and we want to make sure that we're meeting

139
00:07:08,702 --> 00:07:12,302
[juliene_hefter]: all those needs, and when Christian and I started talking, she'd said we've

140
00:07:12,462 --> 00:07:15,742
[juliene_hefter]: known each other for a long time, so we've worked together on so many

141
00:07:15,902 --> 00:07:20,862
[juliene_hefter]: different things, And and we want to make sure that we are offering things

142
00:07:21,102 --> 00:07:26,782
[juliene_hefter]: from the the, brand new for the brand new aquatics director or recreation

143
00:07:27,022 --> 00:07:31,342
[juliene_hefter]: supervisor, or someone that just gets thrown in to run Aquatics, And we.

144
00:07:31,422 --> 00:07:35,342
[juliene_hefter]: Hear that a lot. I mean, I teach pool operator courses. Um. I've been

145
00:07:35,582 --> 00:07:40,222
[juliene_hefter]: involved on a lot of different councils committees, and I'm also an expert

146
00:07:40,382 --> 00:07:44,462
[juliene_hefter]: witness. Um, for a lot of court cases, and like Christi said, we're using

147
00:07:44,622 --> 00:07:48,782
[juliene_hefter]: that model aquatic celcode all the time, So when we look at what we can

148
00:07:48,942 --> 00:07:53,502
[juliene_hefter]: offer during the conference, we are looking at all the facets of aquatics

149
00:07:53,662 --> 00:07:58,302
[juliene_hefter]: from drowning prevention, executive development, leadership programming,

150
00:07:58,702 --> 00:08:04,462
[juliene_hefter]: staff development, the aquatic health Code health inspectors, a university

151
00:08:05,022 --> 00:08:09,262
[juliene_hefter]: nurse, attract risk management, legal liability and diversity

152
00:08:05,700 --> 00:08:06,700
[kristie_]: I, I, the

153
00:08:09,422 --> 00:08:14,142
[juliene_hefter]: and inclusion, And we're really trying to make sure that we just can meet

154
00:08:14,382 --> 00:08:18,542
[juliene_hefter]: all those needs and this partnership coming about. We're so excited about

155
00:08:18,702 --> 00:08:23,822
[juliene_hefter]: it, because again it just really bridges that gap, like Christie said,

156
00:08:24,062 --> 00:08:28,462
[juliene_hefter]: Because we weren't seeing enough of this and the people that need to

157
00:08:28,100 --> 00:08:29,100
[kristie_]: I,

158
00:08:28,542 --> 00:08:33,022
[juliene_hefter]: use this code are the builders from what you know that might be attending,

159
00:08:31,260 --> 00:08:32,260
[kristie_]: the I,

160
00:08:33,182 --> 00:08:34,542
[juliene_hefter]: and participate in water, Shap,

161
00:08:34,942 --> 00:08:39,582
[juliene_hefter]: University educational opportunities, and the health inspectors, but also

162
00:08:40,062 --> 00:08:44,142
[juliene_hefter]: those operators of those facilities, and we talk about the code all the

163
00:08:44,222 --> 00:08:48,702
[juliene_hefter]: time, but really getting in depth into it via everything they're going to be

164
00:08:48,782 --> 00:08:52,382
[juliene_hefter]: bringing to this conference is just mind boggling, I'm

165
00:08:52,180 --> 00:08:53,180
[kristie_]: the the,

166
00:08:52,542 --> 00:08:55,982
[juliene_hefter]: I'm just so excited about it and. Our board is, and our conference committee

167
00:08:56,142 --> 00:08:59,582
[juliene_hefter]: is, and Um, our booklet comes out tomorrow and we've got over ninety

168
00:08:59,682 --> 00:09:00,682
[juliene_hefter]: different sessions

169
00:09:00,831 --> 00:09:01,831
[rudy]: That's amazing.

170
00:09:00,862 --> 00:09:02,542
[juliene_hefter]: that we're going to be offering during this

171
00:09:02,702 --> 00:09:06,542
[juliene_hefter]: week. Um, and then we've got a part. Yeah, we've got a partnership with

172
00:09:02,771 --> 00:09:04,131
[rudy]: that's absolutely amazing.

173
00:09:06,622 --> 00:09:10,542
[juliene_hefter]: Diversity and Aquatics. who's offering their convention towards the end of

174
00:09:10,702 --> 00:09:15,182
[juliene_hefter]: our conference And you know we've got future partnerships coming up that are

175
00:09:15,262 --> 00:09:18,302
[juliene_hefter]: going to be adding more, so it's really going to meet that one stop shop,

176
00:09:18,862 --> 00:09:23,502
[juliene_hefter]: um, atmosphere, for any type. Anybody that's involved in any portion of

177
00:09:23,362 --> 00:09:24,362
[juliene_hefter]: aquatics.

178
00:09:24,453 --> 00:09:25,573
[andrea_nannini]: When is this conference?

179
00:09:26,593 --> 00:09:27,593
[andrea_nannini]: When is it help?

180
00:09:28,062 --> 00:09:32,462
[juliene_hefter]: We are starting it. It's February, typically February, Um. next year we

181
00:09:30,020 --> 00:09:31,020
[kristie_]: The, and

182
00:09:32,622 --> 00:09:35,182
[juliene_hefter]: start February fifth with some preconference

183
00:09:35,220 --> 00:09:36,220
[kristie_]: the, the

184
00:09:35,422 --> 00:09:39,422
[juliene_hefter]: workshops. Um. the full conference starts on the seventh and goes through

185
00:09:35,422 --> 00:09:39,422
[juliene_hefter]: workshops. Um. the full conference starts on the seventh and goes through

186
00:09:39,582 --> 00:09:43,182
[juliene_hefter]: the tenth, and then we have diversity, an aquatics conference that starts

187
00:09:39,582 --> 00:09:43,182

[lauren_stack]: an asp next to fast. Where came each on right on the beach at the dream with

199
00:09:53,882 --> 00:09:54,882

00:10:19,974 --> 00:10:24,534
[lauren_stack]: So so for anyone that hasn't attended one of these conferences in the

216
00:10:19,974 --> 00:10:24,534
[lauren_stack]: So so for anyone that hasn't attended one of these conferences in the

217
00:10:20,053 --> 00:10:23,733
[andrea_nannini]: so, um, So for anyone that hasn't attended one of these conferences in the

218
00:10:23,813 --> 00:10:27,733
[andrea_nannini]: past, Aside from the great things you just mentioned, Why else would someone

219
00:10:24,534 --> 00:10:29,014
[lauren_stack]: pastphon, The great things you just mentioned, Wles when someone wants to

220
00:10:24,534 --> 00:10:29,014
[lauren_stack]: pastphon, The great things you just mentioned, Wles when someone wants to

221
00:10:27,973 --> 00:10:29,733
[andrea_nannini]: want to attend for next year,

222
00:10:29,034 --> 00:10:30,034
[lauren_stack]: attend for

223
00:10:29,034 --> 00:10:30,034
[lauren_stack]: attend for

224
00:10:30,462 --> 00:10:32,302
[juliene_hefter]: Well, I think a big, well, big part of

225
00:10:32,302 --> 00:10:35,342
[juliene_hefter]: it for next year is. hopefully we can get everybody together. Um, you know

226
00:10:32,374 --> 00:10:35,734
[lauren_stack]: make Per for next to get together, Would life

227
00:10:35,422 --> 00:10:39,502
[juliene_hefter]: we've really been missing that and we're really hoping that we get a a great

228
00:10:39,742 --> 00:10:44,062
[juliene_hefter]: group of individuals. We will be following C. D. C guidelines, and Um,

229
00:10:44,222 --> 00:10:48,862
[juliene_hefter]: anything that we need to do to of course make people s, uh safe, but we. I

230
00:10:48,942 --> 00:10:52,222
[juliene_hefter]: think it's really about the networking opportunities. You know. we have all

231
00:10:52,302 --> 00:10:56,382
[juliene_hefter]: these great educational opportunities again. It's going to be great for

232
00:10:56,542 --> 00:11:01,342
[juliene_hefter]: anybody. that is, you know. Just starting out to somebody that's a seasoned

233
00:11:01,502 --> 00:11:06,542
[juliene_hefter]: professional, Um. it's a great networking opportunity to get together with

234
00:11:06,782 --> 00:11:10,862
[juliene_hefter]: everybody from all all around the nation. Uh, we normally have a lot coming

235
00:11:11,022 --> 00:11:14,382
[juliene_hefter]: internationally as well. We don't know if we'll see that next year, but uh,

236
00:11:14,542 --> 00:11:18,382
[juliene_hefter]: we typically do, but it's it's about meeting and making those connections.

237
00:11:18,462 --> 00:11:20,782
[juliene_hefter]: And Chriistti mentioned that, you know, we met

238
00:11:20,620 --> 00:11:21,620
[kristie_]: Howcom,

239
00:11:21,022 --> 00:11:23,902
[juliene_hefter]: twenty some years ago, and Um, we've been great

240
00:11:23,780 --> 00:11:24,780
[kristie_]: and and

241
00:11:24,222 --> 00:11:27,822
[juliene_hefter]: professional colleagues. We've been com, become great friends. Uh,

242
00:11:27,380 --> 00:11:28,380
[kristie_]: the,

243
00:11:27,982 --> 00:11:31,822
[juliene_hefter]: we can contact each other whenever we need anything or have questions, And

244
00:11:32,462 --> 00:11:34,142
[juliene_hefter]: you know that's what going to

245
00:11:33,780 --> 00:11:34,780
[kristie_]: And,

246
00:11:34,222 --> 00:11:37,582
[juliene_hefter]: these in person conferences is all about. Um. You know we provide

247
00:11:37,300 --> 00:11:38,300
[kristie_]: and

248
00:11:38,782 --> 00:11:43,582
[juliene_hefter]: a C. e U. So we've got continuing education, Uh units that people can use

249
00:11:43,902 --> 00:11:49,022
[juliene_hefter]: towards Um. renewing their pool operator certifications towards their Um.

250
00:11:49,262 --> 00:11:52,862
[juliene_hefter]: professional development For a lot of different certifications they can use

251
00:11:53,022 --> 00:11:54,942
[juliene_hefter]: them for and towards our ▁qui

252
00:11:55,180 --> 00:11:56,180
[kristie_]: the morning, and

253
00:11:55,342 --> 00:11:59,342
[juliene_hefter]: professional designation that we have as well. Uh, that's very exciting for

254
00:11:59,422 --> 00:12:03,822
[juliene_hefter]: people to do. but I, I think it's all about that overall experience that you

255
00:12:03,982 --> 00:12:08,862
[juliene_hefter]: get. and we have Um. typically anywhere from eighty five to one hundred and

256
00:12:08,942 --> 00:12:13,822
[juliene_hefter]: thirty companies that also exhibit at our show. Uh sain Pete' Speech is a

257
00:12:13,902 --> 00:12:17,662
[juliene_hefter]: little bit smaller than some of them, so exhibitors need to book their boos

258
00:12:17,902 --> 00:12:21,982
[juliene_hefter]: now because they will fi. We starting to already, but that's an exciting

259
00:12:22,142 --> 00:12:26,462
[juliene_hefter]: thing as well, because all of those commercial entities get to share their

260
00:12:26,862 --> 00:12:31,662
[juliene_hefter]: products services, Um equipment, and just get to know some people that are

261
00:12:31,902 --> 00:12:34,782
[juliene_hefter]: are purchasing their product or maybe purchasing them in the future.

262
00:12:35,191 --> 00:12:36,191
[rudy]: Andrea.

263
00:12:35,413 --> 00:12:39,493
[andrea_nannini]: So kind of similar along the same lines as the regular trade shows. Yes,

264
00:12:35,413 --> 00:12:39,493
[andrea_nannini]: So kind of similar along the same lines as the regular trade shows. Yes,

265
00:12:39,393 --> 00:12:40,393
[andrea_nannini]: Rudy.

266
00:12:39,393 --> 00:12:40,393
[andrea_nannini]: Rudy.

267
00:12:40,051 --> 00:12:41,731
[rudy]: I was going to say you and you and

268
00:12:41,402 --> 00:12:42,402
[juliene_hefter]: Correct

269
00:12:41,831 --> 00:12:42,831
[rudy]: I could easily

270
00:12:42,393 --> 00:12:43,393
[andrea_nannini]: Okay,

271
00:12:42,931 --> 00:12:45,171
[rudy]: have a booth over there in Saint Pete'. Speachch.

272
00:12:46,773 --> 00:12:47,893
[andrea_nannini]: that sounds fun. I'm

273
00:12:47,973 --> 00:12:50,293
[andrea_nannini]: not going to lie. I love a good trade show. so

274
00:12:48,051 --> 00:12:49,171
[rudy]: right. I mean,

275
00:12:50,191 --> 00:12:51,191
[rudy]: we could.

276
00:12:50,453 --> 00:12:53,573
[andrea_nannini]: I mean this sounds like right up my alley, Like, and I do a bunch of

277
00:12:53,653 --> 00:12:59,093
[andrea_nannini]: commercial. I do a bunch of commercial pools, So I should you know, be up in

278
00:12:58,562 --> 00:12:59,562
[juliene_hefter]: and it'

279
00:12:58,793 --> 00:12:59,793
[andrea_nannini]: this.

280
00:12:59,551 --> 00:13:00,551
[rudy]: who are you shushing?

281
00:12:59,582 --> 00:13:01,662
[juliene_hefter]: great. Yeah, it's a great fit for everybody.

282
00:13:04,211 --> 00:13:05,411
[rudy]: who? Who the heck did you shush?

283
00:13:06,771 --> 00:13:07,891
[rudy]: It had to be made. You

284
00:13:07,873 --> 00:13:08,873
[andrea_nannini]: nobody.

285
00:13:07,971 --> 00:13:11,891
[rudy]: wouldn't shoo one of them. Okay, I see how you are. That's fine. You

286
00:13:11,971 --> 00:13:17,411
[rudy]: know was I got to tell you, no, no, no, no, I was a little bit nervous going into this

287
00:13:11,973 --> 00:13:14,453
[andrea_nannini]: listen. I have very important questions.

288
00:13:17,571 --> 00:13:21,251
[rudy]: because I am completely outnumbered here. and now I see you finally have the backup

289
00:13:21,411 --> 00:13:23,171
[rudy]: you need and I'm just

290
00:13:25,331 --> 00:13:27,731
[rudy]: all. Go ahead, ask your question. Leave me alone,

291
00:13:26,533 --> 00:13:31,573
[andrea_nannini]: Well, we, we won't get into the oven situation. Uh, sorry you interrupted.

292
00:13:32,053 --> 00:13:33,973
[andrea_nannini]: you interrupted Julie talkings.

293
00:13:35,333 --> 00:13:40,853
[andrea_nannini]: No, I was saying that. I as uh, so like I said, I, um, I'm doing a bunch of

294
00:13:40,933 --> 00:13:45,653
[andrea_nannini]: commercial pools now, so I feel like I have a a place I should be here. I

295
00:13:45,733 --> 00:13:47,173
[andrea_nannini]: should come and see what it's all about.

296
00:13:47,822 --> 00:13:49,182
[juliene_hefter]: Well and absolutely,

297
00:13:49,334 --> 00:13:53,734
[lauren_stack]: absolutely and honestly, we hear from anybody thatsw those commercial pools

298
00:13:49,422 --> 00:13:53,102
[juliene_hefter]: I mean, honestly, we have from anybody that's doing those commercial pools

299
00:13:53,182 --> 00:13:57,102
[juliene_hefter]: or entities and our commercial companies. We will hear from everybody that

300
00:13:53,814 --> 00:13:57,734
[lauren_stack]: ofvnities and our commercial companies, You will, too, from everybody who,

301
00:13:57,262 --> 00:13:58,542
[juliene_hefter]: it's the best

302
00:13:59,094 --> 00:14:00,614
[lauren_stack]: as education showing,

303
00:13:59,102 --> 00:14:02,862
[juliene_hefter]: educational show they've ever too, but all for the best networking. We like

304
00:14:03,022 --> 00:14:04,302
[juliene_hefter]: to have fun where aquatic

305
00:14:03,940 --> 00:14:04,940
[kristie_]: I, I,

306
00:14:04,542 --> 00:14:07,902
[juliene_hefter]: professionals. We're passionate about what we do no matter where you come

307
00:14:07,982 --> 00:14:12,542
[juliene_hefter]: from. but we love to have fun. We like to provide those opportunities to

308
00:14:12,622 --> 00:14:16,142
[juliene_hefter]: people. so we do a lot of different things. Um, and we're kind of in the

309
00:14:16,222 --> 00:14:19,422
[juliene_hefter]: process of planning those things as well, But it it's something that I

310
00:14:19,582 --> 00:14:21,662
[juliene_hefter]: think. Um. everybody gets

311
00:14:21,380 --> 00:14:22,380
[kristie_]: the The and the,

312
00:14:21,822 --> 00:14:27,262
[juliene_hefter]: something out of and can just truly enjoy it. Um, from again, the free time

313
00:14:27,422 --> 00:14:30,862
[juliene_hefter]: that we provide, so you can hang out on the beach if you want, Uh, the

314
00:14:30,882 --> 00:14:31,882
[juliene_hefter]: social activities,

315
00:14:31,873 --> 00:14:32,873
[andrea_nannini]: That's a good sound.

316
00:14:32,302 --> 00:14:39,262
[juliene_hefter]: the meals, Uh, we provide a lot of meals, and Um a silent auction. We do a

317
00:14:39,502 --> 00:14:42,542
[juliene_hefter]: cork pole, Uh that people buy corks and we'

318
00:14:42,340 --> 00:14:43,340
[kristie_]: The. The. The,

319
00:14:42,702 --> 00:14:47,102
[juliene_hefter]: guaranteed a bottle of wine. Uh, with that cork pull and our silent auction

320
00:14:47,262 --> 00:14:51,102
[juliene_hefter]: to raise funds for the Kathy Lucas memorial scholarship, a lot of people in

321
00:14:51,102 --> 00:14:53,822
[juliene_hefter]: Aquatics know who Kathley Luca was one of the

322
00:14:53,540 --> 00:14:54,540
[kristie_]: everything,

323
00:14:53,682 --> 00:14:54,682
[juliene_hefter]: owners of Lincoln

324
00:14:54,660 --> 00:14:55,660
[kristie_]: you

325
00:14:54,702 --> 00:14:59,502
[juliene_hefter]: Aquatics, who sadly passed away, was one of my best friends. Um, and we

326
00:14:59,662 --> 00:15:01,822
[juliene_hefter]: really really try to honor her every year by

327
00:15:01,700 --> 00:15:02,700
[kristie_]: and

328
00:15:01,982 --> 00:15:06,062
[juliene_hefter]: raising funds for conference scholarships for individuals that might not be

329
00:15:06,142 --> 00:15:07,262
[juliene_hefter]: able to afford totend.

330
00:15:07,913 --> 00:15:08,913
[andrea_nannini]: That's really cool.

331
00:15:11,891 --> 00:15:16,371
[rudy]: Laurn. I saw that you guys have a couple of classes. Water shaped university that you

332
00:15:11,891 --> 00:15:16,371
[rudy]: Laurn. I saw that you guys have a couple of classes. Water shaped university that you

333
00:15:11,920 --> 00:15:13,440
[kristie_]: you, you to I. I

334
00:15:16,231 --> 00:15:17,231
[rudy]: guys are doing.

335
00:15:16,231 --> 00:15:17,231
[rudy]: guys are doing.

336
00:15:19,834 --> 00:15:20,834
[lauren_stack]: yes, um,

337
00:15:22,000 --> 00:15:33,680
[kristie_]: thess

338
00:15:23,314 --> 00:15:24,314
[lauren_stack]: sorry

339
00:15:23,511 --> 00:15:24,511
[rudy]: No,

340
00:15:24,054 --> 00:15:28,214
[lauren_stack]: about that. Uh, yes, we're actually doing three different things. We have two.

341
00:15:28,774 --> 00:15:34,534
[lauren_stack]: Oh on. I, Yes, we have two. D. three different things going on. We have two Um

342
00:15:34,854 --> 00:15:37,014
[lauren_stack]: courses within the Mac track,

343
00:15:36,660 --> 00:15:37,660
[kristie_]: know

344
00:15:38,054 --> 00:15:43,894
[lauren_stack]: so we will be Um, presenting there, and then we have a full day of a a brand

345
00:15:44,054 --> 00:15:48,054
[lauren_stack]: new course. It's called Um. plan checkers, basically plumbing for plan

346
00:15:47,914 --> 00:15:48,914
[lauren_stack]: checkers.

347
00:15:48,420 --> 00:15:49,420
[kristie_]: you.

348
00:15:49,014 --> 00:15:50,934
[lauren_stack]: And really it's a. It's a way for

349
00:15:52,054 --> 00:15:56,614
[lauren_stack]: the people that are out there, Um, the code officials or the health officials

350
00:15:56,774 --> 00:16:00,454
[lauren_stack]: that have to inspect, particularly a commercial job, Um,

351
00:16:00,640 --> 00:16:06,880
[kristie_]: Thess

352
00:16:00,934 --> 00:16:03,814
[lauren_stack]: so that they understand what they're seeing with questions they should be

353
00:16:03,894 --> 00:16:08,214
[lauren_stack]: asking of the builder with respect to plumbing and filtration and and safety

354
00:16:08,154 --> 00:16:09,154
[lauren_stack]: issues. So

355
00:16:08,900 --> 00:16:09,900
[kristie_]: much is nice.

356
00:16:09,254 --> 00:16:14,694
[lauren_stack]: we imagine these people uh, coming out of our program as is having the

357
00:16:14,500 --> 00:16:15,500
[kristie_]: So

358
00:16:14,774 --> 00:16:16,134
[lauren_stack]: tools to ask the proper

359
00:16:15,682 --> 00:16:16,682
[juliene_hefter]: The, the,

360
00:16:16,374 --> 00:16:20,294
[lauren_stack]: questions and to expect the proper answer. And if they're not getting it to to

361
00:16:20,374 --> 00:16:25,094
[lauren_stack]: know what to look for. what might not be going right, Um during the the

362
00:16:25,060 --> 00:16:26,060
[kristie_]: and yous, and

363
00:16:25,334 --> 00:16:28,854
[lauren_stack]: planning stages, or or just the competency of the builder

364
00:16:28,820 --> 00:16:29,820
[kristie_]: so

365
00:16:29,254 --> 00:16:33,094
[lauren_stack]: himself, so we're excited about that and then thirdly we're offering a two day

366
00:16:32,900 --> 00:16:33,900
[kristie_]: all

367
00:16:33,334 --> 00:16:38,614
[lauren_stack]: course at the at the end of the conference on ozone and alternative, Um.

368
00:16:34,400 --> 00:16:57,440
[kristie_]: isssss, and ands

369
00:16:34,400 --> 00:16:57,440
[kristie_]: isssss, and ands

370
00:16:37,682 --> 00:16:38,682
[juliene_hefter]: the,

371
00:16:38,854 --> 00:16:44,694
[lauren_stack]: oxidation pathways. So a o P, and that's going to be. Uh. Obviously, we're

372
00:16:44,774 --> 00:16:48,454
[lauren_stack]: going to be selling all of the the courses and attending the the whole

373
00:16:48,162 --> 00:16:49,162
[juliene_hefter]: you,

374
00:16:48,614 --> 00:16:53,494
[lauren_stack]: conference to our student base. But the two day course in particular,

375
00:16:54,534 --> 00:16:59,014
[lauren_stack]: Uh, more and more people are you know, diving into the whole ozone and

376
00:16:59,094 --> 00:17:04,934
[lauren_stack]: alternative sanitation, And we want them on high end residential as well as

377
00:17:05,174 --> 00:17:09,254
[lauren_stack]: uh, commercial, and uh, We want to be able to be on the forefront with them,

378
00:17:09,234 --> 00:17:10,234
[lauren_stack]: and and get them

379
00:17:09,620 --> 00:17:10,620
[kristie_]: and

380
00:17:10,054 --> 00:17:13,254
[lauren_stack]: up to speed with what they what they should be looking for, and talking to

381
00:17:10,442 --> 00:17:11,442
[juliene_hefter]: the you,

382
00:17:11,220 --> 00:17:12,220
[kristie_]: and

383
00:17:13,060 --> 00:17:14,060
[kristie_]: thes,

384
00:17:13,274 --> 00:17:14,274
[lauren_stack]: manufacturers about

385
00:17:14,611 --> 00:17:16,371
[rudy]: it couldn't be more timely.

386
00:17:18,591 --> 00:17:19,591
[rudy]: I think this is the

387
00:17:19,194 --> 00:17:20,194
[lauren_stack]: Yes,

388
00:17:19,491 --> 00:17:23,891
[rudy]: perfect. I think everybody that goes there should sign up for that two day class. I

389
00:17:23,891 --> 00:17:27,491
[rudy]: mean, they should sign up for all your classes. Obviously, but that two day class we

390
00:17:27,571 --> 00:17:33,011
[rudy]: were talking about alternative oxidation. That's amazing. we. I mean twenty

391
00:17:31,460 --> 00:17:32,460
[kristie_]: the I,

392
00:17:33,182 --> 00:17:34,462
[juliene_hefter]: the houses, ands

393
00:17:33,251 --> 00:17:35,491
[rudy]: twenty two. Everybody is looking at it like it's the light

394
00:17:35,311 --> 00:17:36,311
[rudy]: at the end of

395
00:17:35,602 --> 00:17:36,602
[juliene_hefter]: see,

396
00:17:36,051 --> 00:17:41,091
[rudy]: the tunnel for this, whatever the heck it was, and the truth is it's still a huge

397
00:17:40,660 --> 00:17:41,660
[kristie_]: I,

398
00:17:40,991 --> 00:17:41,991
[rudy]: unknown.

399
00:17:41,022 --> 00:17:55,902
[juliene_hefter]: shessssss

400
00:17:42,340 --> 00:17:43,340
[kristie_]: you

401
00:17:42,851 --> 00:17:45,891
[rudy]: But what we do know is that these alternative

402
00:17:46,580 --> 00:17:47,580
[kristie_]: and

403
00:17:46,771 --> 00:17:51,251
[rudy]: methods of oxidation, those are solid. those are still available, and those are things

404
00:17:51,411 --> 00:17:57,731
[rudy]: that can actually bring us long term benefits well beyond the resolution of the

405
00:17:57,891 --> 00:17:59,331
[rudy]: chlorine conundrum.

406
00:18:01,014 --> 00:18:07,254
[lauren_stack]: Yesion to

407
00:18:01,014 --> 00:18:07,254
[lauren_stack]: Yesion to

408
00:18:01,813 --> 00:18:02,853
[andrea_nannini]: Chorine mcgddan.

409
00:18:03,491 --> 00:18:06,771
[rudy]: You know what, I got too much attention for that the beginning of last year. I'm going

410
00:18:06,851 --> 00:18:09,011
[rudy]: with clearing conundrum this year instead of

411
00:18:09,091 --> 00:18:10,531
[rudy]: Poul mag. What do you think

412
00:18:09,154 --> 00:18:10,154
[lauren_stack]: mission instead.

413
00:18:10,853 --> 00:18:12,133
[andrea_nannini]: Oh, well, I mean

414
00:18:12,134 --> 00:18:14,614
[lauren_stack]: Well, I mean, I said I said, Cling again.

415
00:18:12,773 --> 00:18:16,213
[andrea_nannini]: I, I said choren Magden, So I slightly different. Yeah,

416
00:18:13,971 --> 00:18:16,051
[rudy]: Clare Mageon's good? I don't know. I like

417
00:18:15,994 --> 00:18:16,994
[lauren_stack]: My

418
00:18:16,131 --> 00:18:17,171
[rudy]: conundrum. Anyway,

419
00:18:18,113 --> 00:18:19,113
[andrea_nannini]: well, you got that

420
00:18:19,013 --> 00:18:21,973
[andrea_nannini]: alliteration. That kind of thing going? You just need a third one,

421
00:18:19,094 --> 00:18:21,414
[lauren_stack]: well, you got that alliteration kind of thing going.

422
00:18:20,691 --> 00:18:22,531
[rudy]: I do. I do that a lot. I

423
00:18:22,554 --> 00:18:23,554
[lauren_stack]: Go on.

424
00:18:22,591 --> 00:18:23,591
[rudy]: noticed that too

425
00:18:24,722 --> 00:18:25,722
[juliene_hefter]: and

426
00:18:25,082 --> 00:18:26,082
[juliene_hefter]: Rudy

427
00:18:25,193 --> 00:18:26,193
[andrea_nannini]: so

428
00:18:26,562 --> 00:18:27,562
[juliene_hefter]: is this is Ju.

429
00:18:26,833 --> 00:18:27,833
[andrea_nannini]: go ahead

430
00:18:27,354 --> 00:18:28,354
[lauren_stack]: This is goead

431
00:18:28,462 --> 00:18:32,862
[juliene_hefter]: Just share the fact that if someone registers to attend the Ap conference,

432
00:18:29,094 --> 00:18:33,574
[lauren_stack]: to share the fact that give someone registers to attend the new A conference.

433
00:18:33,502 --> 00:18:37,742
[juliene_hefter]: Um, that registration includes everything starting a Monday through Thursday

434
00:18:34,134 --> 00:18:38,614
[lauren_stack]: Um. That registration includes everything starting on Mondays and Thursday for

435
00:18:37,902 --> 00:18:42,462
[juliene_hefter]: for our regular conference sessions. the Wednesday Water Shap University

436
00:18:38,694 --> 00:18:43,174
[lauren_stack]: our regular conference sessions on the Wednesday, Water Sha University

437
00:18:42,862 --> 00:18:47,422
[juliene_hefter]: workshop. That's an extra registration. But if you registered for Ap, you

438
00:18:43,574 --> 00:18:48,454
[lauren_stack]: Workshop has an extra registration. But if you register for any a K, get a

439
00:18:47,582 --> 00:18:51,902
[juliene_hefter]: get a discount on that registration as well. And then we've got a different

440
00:18:48,534 --> 00:18:52,614
[lauren_stack]: discount on that registration as well. and then we've got a different

441
00:18:52,142 --> 00:18:55,502
[juliene_hefter]: registration for diversity and aquatics, because that's technically a

442
00:18:52,854 --> 00:18:56,294
[lauren_stack]: registration for diversity and Aqutics, Be that's technically a summer

443
00:18:55,502 --> 00:18:59,182
[juliene_hefter]: separate conference just being held in conjunction with ours. And then the

444
00:18:56,614 --> 00:18:59,974
[lauren_stack]: conference just being called in conjunction with ours. and then the Water

445
00:18:59,262 --> 00:19:04,942
[juliene_hefter]: Water Shap University two day workshop again is a workshop registration fee.

446
00:19:00,774 --> 00:19:07,094
[lauren_stack]: university. A workshop again is workshop registratione, and that's being held

447
00:19:05,582 --> 00:19:09,022
[juliene_hefter]: and that's being held after our conference. And then we do have some

448
00:19:07,414 --> 00:19:11,574
[lauren_stack]: after our conference, and then we to have some preconference workshops at me.

449
00:19:09,262 --> 00:19:11,742
[juliene_hefter]: preconference workshops that we have build Po.

450
00:19:11,474 --> 00:19:12,474
[lauren_stack]: The buil of

451
00:19:12,862 --> 00:19:17,102
[juliene_hefter]: A workshop going on. we have a aquatic facility tour and then we also have

452
00:19:13,494 --> 00:19:18,214
[lauren_stack]: a workshop going on. We have an aquatic facility tour and then we also have of

453
00:19:17,182 --> 00:19:19,262
[juliene_hefter]: an A O course that we're offering as well,

454
00:19:18,294 --> 00:19:19,894
[lauren_stack]: the works that were offered as well

455
00:19:19,411 --> 00:19:22,611
[rudy]: nice. absolutely. So Christ.

456
00:19:23,620 --> 00:19:24,620
[kristie_]: yes,

457
00:19:24,511 --> 00:19:25,511
[rudy]: what what were your?

458
00:19:27,971 --> 00:19:30,451
[rudy]: How are you Christi? We haven't talked in a while.

459
00:19:28,554 --> 00:19:29,554
[lauren_stack]: How

460
00:19:29,574 --> 00:19:32,934
[lauren_stack]: youantastic I know. we

461
00:19:29,680 --> 00:19:31,200
[kristie_]: I'm fantastic. I know.

462
00:19:31,811 --> 00:19:34,451
[rudy]: We. we talked a lot at the beginning of last year. But then I guess

463
00:19:34,594 --> 00:19:35,594
[lauren_stack]: year I

464
00:19:34,991 --> 00:19:35,991
[rudy]: it happened.

465
00:19:37,331 --> 00:19:42,531
[rudy]: so tell me what great wonderful new things do you have that you are bringing to this

466
00:19:42,771 --> 00:19:46,131
[rudy]: conference? Aside from what we've already discussed,

467
00:19:47,440 --> 00:19:52,800
[kristie_]: Well, um, really, what we're doing is bringing the public health folks that we

468
00:19:53,120 --> 00:19:58,080
[kristie_]: have Um, great standing relationships with that we work with all the time. Um to

469
00:19:58,480 --> 00:20:03,520
[kristie_]: uh, you know, bring their se s to the map track. Um, of course, Um, I'll be

470
00:20:01,814 --> 00:22:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss,

471
00:20:03,760 --> 00:20:08,720
[kristie_]: speaking and um, I'm doing a session on demstifying the Mac. How to make it

472
00:20:08,880 --> 00:20:15,280
[kristie_]: easier? I know, Uh, especially a lot of people. Um in uh, managing pools. it can

473
00:20:15,360 --> 00:20:19,440
[kristie_]: be really overwhelming. Oh, my gosh. What do I look at? Where do I go? Um, so I'll

474
00:20:19,520 --> 00:20:25,360
[kristie_]: be talking a lot about the um, uh, the mini Max that we have, and um. you know how

475
00:20:25,520 --> 00:20:30,240
[kristie_]: to focus on? Uh, you know where to find the information and how to make it Not so

476
00:20:30,480 --> 00:20:35,600
[kristie_]: daunting. but um. and of course our uh, you know, technical director Dewey will be

477
00:20:35,760 --> 00:20:40,480
[kristie_]: there. Um, Actually, our entire team. Yeah, I do, too. he's fantastic. Yes, he's

478
00:20:36,311 --> 00:20:37,311
[rudy]: I

479
00:20:38,451 --> 00:20:40,051
[rudy]: dowe is a good guy. Mhm,

480
00:20:40,560 --> 00:20:44,160
[kristie_]: so knowledgeable. It's incredible. I learned so much every time I talk to him.

481
00:20:44,691 --> 00:20:46,451
[rudy]: absolute, absolutely is absolutely is.

482
00:20:46,240 --> 00:20:51,440
[kristie_]: he really is. Uh, and so yeah, So we're just uh, you know, and then we are still

483
00:20:51,680 --> 00:20:56,320
[kristie_]: working on our Um. indoor air quality study, Um, our partnership that we have with

484
00:20:56,480 --> 00:21:02,560
[kristie_]: Purdue University with Chiplasky and Um, still working on Um. Getting. We're in

485
00:21:02,640 --> 00:21:07,520
[kristie_]: the third and final phase. We're working on Uh, securing Uh, some funding. Uh,

486
00:21:07,680 --> 00:21:13,200
[kristie_]: some additional funding for that. So Um, I know that, Um. he's got a lot of really

487
00:21:13,360 --> 00:21:17,120
[kristie_]: great information that we hope to bring Uh to the conference as well. I don't

488
00:21:17,200 --> 00:21:21,760
[kristie_]: think he'll be Um. Able to speak in person, but um, hopefully we can get his

489
00:21:22,080 --> 00:21:26,000
[kristie_]: information out there as well because it's It's incredible the work that they've

490
00:21:26,080 --> 00:21:27,680
[kristie_]: done over Purdue on this issue.

491
00:21:28,382 --> 00:21:30,702
[juliene_hefter]: Thes.

492
00:21:28,531 --> 00:21:35,171
[rudy]: I think that's such a fantastic idea in detigmatizing the role of the health official.

493
00:21:35,300 --> 00:21:36,300
[kristie_]: Mhm.

494
00:21:36,311 --> 00:21:37,311
[rudy]: I mean, really on

495
00:21:36,793 --> 00:21:37,793
[andrea_nannini]: eight.

496
00:21:37,331 --> 00:21:41,731
[rudy]: a large. I mean, honestly, I've I've been at a lot of different facilities where I've

497
00:21:41,811 --> 00:21:47,171
[rudy]: seen and this is an aquatic, but I'm assuming it it plays the same across the board,

498
00:21:47,411 --> 00:21:51,651
[rudy]: but I've been at facilities where I've seen the health of officials vehicle roll in

499
00:21:51,891 --> 00:21:56,771
[rudy]: and the maintenance team immediately jumps on their golf course in their trucks and

500
00:21:56,851 --> 00:21:59,331
[rudy]: heads off sight be cause they don't want to be around for it.

501
00:22:00,371 --> 00:22:05,091
[rudy]: Doing this is such an awesome bonding opportunity where you know this is some that you

502
00:22:01,814 --> 00:24:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss,

503
00:22:05,171 --> 00:22:08,611
[rudy]: should have in your corner, not somebody that you should run from, And I don't think

504
00:22:08,711 --> 00:22:09,711
[rudy]: enough people know that.

505
00:22:12,580 --> 00:22:13,580
[kristie_]: Yes,

506
00:22:12,702 --> 00:22:16,862
[juliene_hefter]: Rudy. this is Jea. I'm going to tell you, I, in my pool operator courses I

507
00:22:17,102 --> 00:22:20,222
[juliene_hefter]: teach that all the time, I always say, make friends with your health

508
00:22:20,462 --> 00:22:25,182
[juliene_hefter]: inspectors. Um, you should be friendly with them and get to know them. Get

509
00:22:25,262 --> 00:22:29,422
[juliene_hefter]: to understand what they're looking for, because a lot of times our operators

510
00:22:29,742 --> 00:22:33,102
[juliene_hefter]: exactly what you just said. They shaken their booots when the health

511
00:22:31,831 --> 00:22:32,831
[rudy]: Mhm.

512
00:22:33,342 --> 00:22:37,422
[juliene_hefter]: inspector shows up and they don't realize how much help they can be as well,

513
00:22:37,351 --> 00:22:38,351
[rudy]: Oh yeah,

514
00:22:38,382 --> 00:22:41,742
[juliene_hefter]: and I think same, those for the health inspectors. I think a lot of times

515
00:22:41,822 --> 00:22:45,422
[juliene_hefter]: when they're showing up at pools, they' feeling like you know. Oh, my gosh,

516
00:22:45,582 --> 00:22:49,582
[juliene_hefter]: I walk up and people don't even want to talk to me. So how do we bridge that

517
00:22:49,742 --> 00:22:53,262
[juliene_hefter]: gap, And that's what's so great about bringing these health inspectors to a

518
00:22:53,342 --> 00:22:58,942
[juliene_hefter]: o a p, and talking to the operators because they don't talk enough. So we

519
00:22:57,831 --> 00:22:58,831
[rudy]: no,

520
00:22:59,102 --> 00:23:02,302
[juliene_hefter]: want to get them together And that's the whole thing about these

521
00:23:02,462 --> 00:23:05,982
[juliene_hefter]: collaborations. And I know you can tell I'm excited about it because it's

522
00:23:05,231 --> 00:23:06,231
[rudy]: I can.

523
00:23:06,062 --> 00:23:11,022
[juliene_hefter]: just every single collaboration or partnership we come up with. Just improve

524
00:23:11,342 --> 00:23:13,182
[juliene_hefter]: the quaatics as a whole for everybody,

525
00:23:13,491 --> 00:23:17,731
[rudy]: I'll tell you. Um, when I was I had, Uh, I've done a bunch of different things in the

526
00:23:17,731 --> 00:23:22,611
[rudy]: pool industry, but when I had my service company, I always made sure that I had a

527
00:23:22,771 --> 00:23:26,611
[rudy]: stellar relationship with my health officials. Uh, the folks that would inspect my

528
00:23:26,691 --> 00:23:30,931
[rudy]: pools so much so that my health official she actually had my cell phonee number in her

529
00:23:31,091 --> 00:23:34,771
[rudy]: phone. And if there was ever a problem at any of the pools that I would that I took

530
00:23:35,011 --> 00:23:39,091
[rudy]: care of, I'd get a phone call. I mean, I don't care if it's the Friday of a holiday

531
00:23:39,251 --> 00:23:42,451
[rudy]: weekend or not. I'd get a call that says hey Rudy. I'm over at such and such a

532
00:23:42,451 --> 00:23:45,571
[rudy]: facility and I took care of a lot of student housing And it'd be something along the

533
00:23:45,651 --> 00:23:49,011
[rudy]: lines of like You know, there's a ring Booy missing. Can you get one here before I

534
00:23:49,091 --> 00:23:53,091
[rudy]: leave? So I don't have to close the pool and then I'd be like Yeah, and I want those

535
00:23:53,411 --> 00:23:57,491
[rudy]: opportunities, you know, and I think they do. Also, how cool is it to not have your

536
00:23:57,571 --> 00:23:58,771
[rudy]: pool closed on a weekend

537
00:23:59,413 --> 00:24:03,413
[andrea_nannini]: I have the say. Not the same thing, but I had a very similar similar

538
00:24:03,973 --> 00:24:07,653
[andrea_nannini]: experience where I got a phone call from the management office and they're

539
00:24:07,733 --> 00:24:10,533
[andrea_nannini]: like, You know the health inspectors there. There's just a couple of things

540
00:24:10,613 --> 00:24:13,813
[andrea_nannini]: and I was like, Yeah, no, I'm actually like right across the street, so I

541
00:24:13,893 --> 00:24:18,213
[andrea_nannini]: went back and Um, so I was able to take care of all the all of the issues

542
00:24:18,373 --> 00:24:21,413
[andrea_nannini]: that she had, So she didn't have to close the pool. Shouldn't have to come

543
00:24:21,573 --> 00:24:26,453
[andrea_nannini]: back, you know, and it was. it was. Um. It was a pretty decent experience

544
00:24:26,773 --> 00:24:31,253
[andrea_nannini]: for me like I had. No. She didn't bite me late. So you know it was like I

545
00:24:31,493 --> 00:24:35,013
[andrea_nannini]: like you said. I was able to prevent the pool from being closed and it was

546
00:24:35,173 --> 00:24:38,213
[andrea_nannini]: just a couple of minor things, so it's really not a big deal to like

547
00:24:38,533 --> 00:24:42,053
[andrea_nannini]: everybody saying, Get to know them, you know, and build a relationship And

548
00:24:42,133 --> 00:24:43,733
[andrea_nannini]: then things work out,

549
00:24:43,731 --> 00:24:46,611
[rudy]: and you didn't get bitten. That's the most important part. I think

550
00:24:46,180 --> 00:24:47,180
[kristie_]: she.

551
00:24:47,333 --> 00:24:49,013
[andrea_nannini]: not by the health inspector that day.

552
00:24:50,851 --> 00:24:53,331
[rudy]: so Andrea. ask a few.

553
00:24:53,033 --> 00:24:54,033
[andrea_nannini]: Yes,

554
00:24:55,253 --> 00:24:59,733
[andrea_nannini]: um, okay, so I actually wanted to know this one too. So why did the Um? So

555
00:24:56,382 --> 00:25:06,702
[juliene_hefter]: Sss, two

556
00:24:59,893 --> 00:25:04,213
[andrea_nannini]: why does the Water Shape university? Why did you guys decide to offer Uh

557
00:25:04,853 --> 00:25:06,133
[andrea_nannini]: education at the conference?

558
00:25:07,173 --> 00:25:08,773
[andrea_nannini]: The A o a P conference

559
00:25:12,934 --> 00:25:19,334
[lauren_stack]: For for several reasons, First, we really support the model code. We put that

560
00:25:20,774 --> 00:25:25,894
[lauren_stack]: those Um priorities that are set into the code into our curriculum and we talk

561
00:25:26,134 --> 00:25:30,294
[lauren_stack]: about it and we tell people that it's available and they need to understand it

562
00:25:30,374 --> 00:25:35,974
[lauren_stack]: and know it. And so it's a very integrated part of all of our programs. So

563
00:25:36,214 --> 00:25:38,774
[lauren_stack]: when the opportunity came for us to offer some

564
00:25:39,814 --> 00:25:44,134
[lauren_stack]: a few sessions within the Mac track, we really jump on it, and

565
00:25:45,814 --> 00:25:50,294
[lauren_stack]: the the ones that we' going to present are equipment pads, and

566
00:25:51,354 --> 00:25:52,354
[lauren_stack]: H,

567
00:25:53,014 --> 00:25:54,374
[lauren_stack]: I should know the second one.

568
00:25:55,974 --> 00:25:58,454
[lauren_stack]: You don't have that by chance, do you? In your notes?

569
00:25:58,151 --> 00:25:59,151
[rudy]: We can fix it.

570
00:26:00,640 --> 00:27:34,880
[kristie_]: I don't only seer, what this is, Christi Lauren. What was the session? you already

571
00:26:01,182 --> 00:27:59,502
[juliene_hefter]: Isssssssssssssssssssss.

572
00:26:02,694 --> 00:26:06,614
[lauren_stack]: I, I can't think this. I can't think of the second one, but at any rate, um,

573
00:26:07,174 --> 00:26:13,254
[lauren_stack]: two of those within the The Mac track, and and really, just forming that

574
00:26:13,494 --> 00:26:15,654
[lauren_stack]: bridge that we've all been talking about,

575
00:26:16,694 --> 00:26:21,974
[lauren_stack]: understanding that the pool industry is so blended, you know between

576
00:26:22,294 --> 00:26:27,814
[lauren_stack]: residential and commercial, and, and even more so as we've moved into really

577
00:26:28,294 --> 00:26:30,134
[lauren_stack]: high end residential pools that

578
00:26:31,114 --> 00:26:32,114
[lauren_stack]: challenge

579
00:26:32,774 --> 00:26:36,614
[lauren_stack]: the the Uh, the size of what you might find in a commercial setting, So

580
00:26:36,614 --> 00:26:41,014
[lauren_stack]: there's just a lot of a lot of overlap and our people do both things, and so

581
00:26:41,254 --> 00:26:43,574
[lauren_stack]: being part of the the. Commercial Um,

582
00:26:44,154 --> 00:26:45,154
[lauren_stack]: community,

583
00:26:45,734 --> 00:26:51,654
[lauren_stack]: and bringing them with us into Um, the realm where the aquatic facility

584
00:26:51,814 --> 00:26:56,294
[lauren_stack]: managers live and come to the conference was really important for us to be

585
00:26:56,454 --> 00:27:01,094
[lauren_stack]: there and to help you know form that bridge and get those people over Um. And

586
00:27:01,174 --> 00:27:05,174
[lauren_stack]: as as Rudy was talking about the whole, a o p, and alternative, Um,

587
00:27:06,214 --> 00:27:11,414
[lauren_stack]: sanitation, and U, V and ozone, I mean those are becoming used more and more

588
00:27:11,574 --> 00:27:16,134
[lauren_stack]: often, And so the service people need to understand what that means to their

589
00:27:16,294 --> 00:27:22,374
[lauren_stack]: businesses, and Um, they need to be kind of brought up to speed on on what the

590
00:27:22,374 --> 00:27:25,894
[lauren_stack]: builders are putting into their pools so that they can be serviced by by

591
00:27:26,134 --> 00:27:28,774
[lauren_stack]: people moving forward once they leave that job site,

592
00:27:29,111 --> 00:27:30,111
[rudy]: That wasn't me.

593
00:27:35,120 --> 00:27:36,640
[kristie_]: said, I think I have the other one.

594
00:27:38,294 --> 00:27:39,654
[lauren_stack]: Uh, the equipment pad,

595
00:27:41,200 --> 00:27:42,240
[kristie_]: Oh, the building, save

596
00:27:42,154 --> 00:27:43,154
[lauren_stack]: the

597
00:27:42,400 --> 00:27:44,320
[kristie_]: chemical storage and treatment systems,

598
00:27:44,694 --> 00:27:47,254
[lauren_stack]: chemical storage. Yes, and what was the other one?

599
00:27:49,040 --> 00:27:51,680
[kristie_]: Is it the visual guide to commercial pool geometry?

600
00:27:53,394 --> 00:27:54,394
[lauren_stack]: That's

601
00:27:53,860 --> 00:27:54,860
[kristie_]: That's it. Y,

602
00:27:54,134 --> 00:27:55,894
[lauren_stack]: it. that's it. Yes,

603
00:27:55,831 --> 00:27:56,831
[rudy]: so

604
00:27:56,534 --> 00:27:58,934
[lauren_stack]: uh, so how do we fit that in Rudy? I don't know.

605
00:27:58,451 --> 00:28:03,011
[rudy]: I'll fix it. You distned. So just repeat what you were saying really quick. So the two

606
00:28:01,502 --> 00:29:59,822
[juliene_hefter]: Ssssssssssssss.

607
00:28:03,251 --> 00:28:05,571
[rudy]: class. the twoth sessions go ahead.

608
00:28:06,694 --> 00:28:11,174
[lauren_stack]: Uh. Yes, The the two sessions we're offering have to do with uh, pool geometry

609
00:28:11,654 --> 00:28:16,774
[lauren_stack]: and what you can and can't do according to the to the code. Uh, Dave Peterson

610
00:28:16,934 --> 00:28:21,174
[lauren_stack]: likes to press the envelope, not from a safety standpoint point, never from

611
00:28:21,334 --> 00:28:27,574
[lauren_stack]: that standpoint but just to put some fun into our commercial pools. Um, he

612
00:28:27,734 --> 00:28:33,094
[lauren_stack]: thinks you know. It's silly if you have a pool that can have a fun detail that

613
00:28:33,414 --> 00:28:38,294
[lauren_stack]: Um is not going to go against code. Let's put it in there because that's what

614
00:28:38,374 --> 00:28:42,854
[lauren_stack]: people are are used to more and more on the residential side, and then the Um.

615
00:28:43,254 --> 00:28:48,214
[lauren_stack]: chemical storage and equipment, Uh rooms, and and just making sure that those

616
00:28:48,294 --> 00:28:51,974
[lauren_stack]: are up to code and everything is being followed. So those are the two segments

617
00:28:52,054 --> 00:28:54,054
[lauren_stack]: that will be addressing within the Mac track

618
00:28:54,791 --> 00:28:55,791
[rudy]: So

619
00:28:56,671 --> 00:28:57,671
[rudy]: chrs,

620
00:28:57,013 --> 00:28:58,213
[andrea_nannini]: F is, and Fe

621
00:28:57,013 --> 00:28:58,213
[andrea_nannini]: F is, and Fe

622
00:28:58,151 --> 00:28:59,151
[rudy]: you have some

623
00:28:59,171 --> 00:29:01,891
[rudy]: competition out there. There's this other code

624
00:28:59,253 --> 00:29:00,773
[andrea_nannini]: before the Min and

625
00:29:01,993 --> 00:29:02,993
[andrea_nannini]: the

626
00:29:03,251 --> 00:29:07,491
[rudy]: that all the Ph. People would be mad cause I don't remember the name of it because I

627
00:29:07,571 --> 00:29:08,771
[rudy]: like your code. But

628
00:29:10,051 --> 00:29:14,371
[rudy]: how how does that effect? How's that affecting your day today? and what you do? I mean

629
00:29:14,531 --> 00:29:18,211
[rudy]: right now, I mean, I guess is there a battle for market share? What's going on with

630
00:29:18,291 --> 00:29:21,411
[rudy]: that? or would you like to just completely leave this question out

631
00:29:22,080 --> 00:29:26,640
[kristie_]: no, no, that's fine. Um, no, I mean you know we. I have a great relationship with

632
00:29:26,340 --> 00:29:27,340
[kristie_]: Ph,

633
00:29:28,080 --> 00:29:33,040
[kristie_]: Um, I am. Uh, I've uh, you know, built a a relationship with their executive

634
00:29:33,280 --> 00:29:40,240
[kristie_]: director, Saina. uh, Hickman and Um, I mean, you know, they. They use pieces from

635
00:29:40,480 --> 00:29:44,640
[kristie_]: our code in their coat, and that's all. that's what the Mac is all about. That is

636
00:29:44,720 --> 00:29:50,080
[kristie_]: what. Um. You know, the original vision from the Cbc was all about Was you know,

637
00:29:50,240 --> 00:29:54,800
[kristie_]: getting people to use the Max, So, Um, you know, and we have worked really hard.

638
00:29:55,120 --> 00:30:00,400
[kristie_]: Um, it's the international Uh pool in Sp. Cod Is is what you were refer. Um, you

639
00:30:00,480 --> 00:30:04,960
[kristie_]: know we've had. We have a committee. Um. It's on pause right now. Uh, waiting, Um.

640
00:30:01,333 --> 00:31:59,653
[andrea_nannini]: Ssssssssssssss.

641
00:30:01,502 --> 00:31:59,822
[juliene_hefter]: Ssssssssssssss.

642
00:30:05,200 --> 00:30:09,200
[kristie_]: some updates of the codes, but we have a a harmonizing committee that we work

643
00:30:09,440 --> 00:30:14,800
[kristie_]: together to make sure that the codes Um, are as aligned as possible. Um. And they

644
00:30:14,960 --> 00:30:19,680
[kristie_]: have a They. You know. they have adopted pieces of the Mac into their code as

645
00:30:19,760 --> 00:30:22,000
[kristie_]: well. So Um, you know our

646
00:30:23,040 --> 00:30:27,120
[kristie_]: our from our standpoint. you know to me. I don't know why anyone wouldn't use it

647
00:30:27,200 --> 00:30:31,280
[kristie_]: Because it is the standard it comes. You know. it's owned by the C. D. C. It's

648
00:30:31,440 --> 00:30:36,480
[kristie_]: based on science. It's free. Um, so our code is free. Um. You know some of the

649
00:30:36,480 --> 00:30:42,160
[kristie_]: other codes out there. You have to pay for them. Um, so um y, you know to me it.

650
00:30:41,860 --> 00:30:42,860
[kristie_]: it's um.

651
00:30:43,680 --> 00:30:48,800
[kristie_]: It's all inclusive. It's the only all inclusive Um. model model code, Uh, for

652
00:30:48,960 --> 00:30:50,000
[kristie_]: Aquatic. That's out

653
00:30:50,054 --> 00:30:52,934
[lauren_stack]: forw. that there, you know, I said before it,

654
00:30:50,080 --> 00:30:53,760
[kristie_]: there. And as you know, I said before and juene um mentioned as well. It's

655
00:30:53,920 --> 00:30:57,520
[kristie_]: it's what's being referenced during Um, the court cases and

656
00:30:53,974 --> 00:30:56,454
[lauren_stack]: mention as well as it, whats being reference.

657
00:30:57,600 --> 00:31:02,800
[kristie_]: lawsuits and things like that. So Um, for us it's just it's the standard and uh,

658
00:30:57,654 --> 00:31:02,054
[lauren_stack]: The por casees and lossuits and things like that, so not for us. it's just

659
00:31:02,294 --> 00:31:07,894
[lauren_stack]: this theer and we're very proud of the kindolor that we found that we work

660
00:31:02,960 --> 00:31:08,480
[kristie_]: we're very proud of of the code that we put out. Uh, we work really hard. Um, you

661
00:31:08,134 --> 00:31:13,094
[lauren_stack]: really hard. you know, every three years to get updated with the latest signs

662
00:31:08,480 --> 00:31:12,880
[kristie_]: know every three years to get it updated with the latest science. Um, you know,

663
00:31:13,280 --> 00:31:17,120
[kristie_]: making sure that it. It makes sense we're working to. Um. try

664
00:31:13,494 --> 00:31:16,054
[lauren_stack]: of you know, making sure that it may be Sa.

665
00:31:17,280 --> 00:31:21,200
[kristie_]: to make it a little bit. you know, more user friendly and easier for people. I

666
00:31:17,334 --> 00:31:21,974
[lauren_stack]: to try to make it a little. you know where user friendly and easier for

667
00:31:21,280 --> 00:31:26,080
[kristie_]: know. It's it's really large, but it's got everything you need in there, so um,

668
00:31:22,054 --> 00:31:27,494
[lauren_stack]: people. I know it's really large, but it's got everything even there, so we're

669
00:31:26,160 --> 00:31:30,880
[kristie_]: we're looking at ways to make it a little bit easier for the user. Um, but yeah,

670
00:31:27,654 --> 00:31:30,374
[lauren_stack]: looking at ways to making a little bit easier for the user.

671
00:31:31,200 --> 00:31:35,600
[kristie_]: it's and like I said, it's free. It's it's a. It's a resource out there for

672
00:31:33,894 --> 00:31:39,094
[lauren_stack]: said it free theys. A resource out there for everyone, so we'w out as a

673
00:31:35,300 --> 00:31:36,300
[kristie_]: everyone.

674
00:31:36,771 --> 00:31:42,771
[rudy]: so we don't see that as a competing code at all, Is what you're saying? Now. I know

675
00:31:39,174 --> 00:31:41,894
[lauren_stack]: convenient code of Lo. your sci.

676
00:31:42,271 --> 00:31:43,271
[rudy]: you know that

677
00:31:42,954 --> 00:31:43,954
[lauren_stack]: I don know

678
00:31:43,251 --> 00:31:45,491
[rudy]: I've been. Um. I've been a member of

679
00:31:45,114 --> 00:31:46,114
[lauren_stack]: a

680
00:31:45,571 --> 00:31:48,611
[rudy]: the counsel for the model A. Quite a health code. I

681
00:31:48,234 --> 00:31:49,234
[lauren_stack]: co

682
00:31:48,771 --> 00:31:50,611
[rudy]: think I'm a little behind my does at the

683
00:31:50,614 --> 00:31:52,774
[lauren_stack]: on the Windows of the moment, but no

684
00:31:50,691 --> 00:31:53,251
[rudy]: moment, but you know we can. I can fix that.

685
00:31:54,471 --> 00:31:55,471
[rudy]: but but aside from

686
00:31:55,414 --> 00:32:00,454
[lauren_stack]: be motified from there. Weve want earlier or too. Because one of the Fsm do.

687
00:31:55,491 --> 00:31:59,091
[rudy]: that I, we worked together early in the year too, because one of the things that we

688
00:31:59,251 --> 00:32:05,091
[rudy]: did that did not ist. We created a category for pool professionals specifically right

689
00:32:05,111 --> 00:32:06,111
[rudy]: for

690
00:32:05,300 --> 00:32:06,300
[kristie_]: We,

691
00:32:05,891 --> 00:32:11,571
[rudy]: folks at service pools, and and such to come in to that organization so that they had

692
00:32:11,811 --> 00:32:16,771
[rudy]: a place where they fit where we could represent or the Po. people Po professionals

693
00:32:16,851 --> 00:32:21,251
[rudy]: could represent and share their voices and opinions because they have a lot to add as

694
00:32:21,331 --> 00:32:26,931
[rudy]: well, and I think that's great that everybody is working together so nicely to bring

695
00:32:27,251 --> 00:32:31,811
[rudy]: everyone to the table just for the better of the industry. And I think this

696
00:32:32,051 --> 00:32:34,291
[rudy]: collaboration you guys have here is a

697
00:32:33,913 --> 00:32:34,913
[andrea_nannini]: you

698
00:32:34,531 --> 00:32:35,811
[rudy]: perfect example of that.

699
00:32:36,960 --> 00:32:38,080
[kristie_]: Yes, and I mean, that's

700
00:32:38,074 --> 00:32:39,074
[lauren_stack]: I would like to.

701
00:32:38,240 --> 00:32:41,360
[kristie_]: exactly what we're all trying to do. Uh, you know, and just bring everybody

702
00:32:41,840 --> 00:32:45,840
[kristie_]: together in one room. It's hard to travel. It's hard to go, you know, to a bunch

703
00:32:46,000 --> 00:32:50,800
[kristie_]: of different conferences and our goal was to get everybody, Um together in one in

704
00:32:50,960 --> 00:32:56,960
[kristie_]: one place, and Uh, Julian has done a great job, Um, bringing in you know, like she

705
00:32:57,040 --> 00:33:01,200
[kristie_]: said, Their expos fantastic, You know, there's just so much there for everybody.

706
00:33:01,300 --> 00:33:02,300
[kristie_]: All their

707
00:33:02,080 --> 00:33:06,160
[kristie_]: preconference events either post conference events, The partnerships that she has

708
00:33:02,082 --> 00:33:03,082
[juliene_hefter]: you, I

709
00:33:06,640 --> 00:33:07,840
[kristie_]: with with people in

710
00:33:07,442 --> 00:33:08,442
[juliene_hefter]: Fe,

711
00:33:07,920 --> 00:33:09,040
[kristie_]: the industry is just is

712
00:33:08,962 --> 00:33:09,962
[juliene_hefter]: sees.

713
00:33:09,200 --> 00:33:12,080
[kristie_]: phenomenal. So and I'm sorry, Lorn, I didn't need to interrupt you.

714
00:33:14,454 --> 00:33:19,654
[lauren_stack]: Yeah, um, I just wanted to to add. You know what we at Water Shape University

715
00:33:20,054 --> 00:33:24,614
[lauren_stack]: like about the Mac code in particular, And and it's the product and also the

716
00:33:24,694 --> 00:33:29,974
[lauren_stack]: process of from the products standpoint, Um. The fact that it is a consensus

717
00:33:30,134 --> 00:33:34,374
[lauren_stack]: of all segments of the industry where you take input, and, and it's an open Uh

718
00:33:34,614 --> 00:33:40,534
[lauren_stack]: forum for people to submit change orders, Um. it just it's an inclusive in

719
00:33:40,694 --> 00:33:45,174
[lauren_stack]: inclusive Uh code. And so that that we like and and from the process

720
00:33:45,654 --> 00:33:48,374
[lauren_stack]: standpoint it's also very deliberate. You know, you have

721
00:33:49,574 --> 00:33:54,294
[lauren_stack]: a a three year cycle. It, you submit change orders That goes to committee. The

722
00:33:54,374 --> 00:33:57,974
[lauren_stack]: research is done. it's deliberated, it's brought before the whole committee

723
00:33:58,054 --> 00:34:00,214
[lauren_stack]: for a vote. I mean it's It's a very,

724
00:34:01,254 --> 00:34:07,414
[lauren_stack]: um, you know, understood process on how things flow and repeatable, and so

725
00:34:01,333 --> 00:35:59,653
[andrea_nannini]: ssssssssssssss.

726
00:34:07,894 --> 00:34:13,254
[lauren_stack]: that to us is is just what makes a code reputable and and why it should become

727
00:34:13,654 --> 00:34:18,054
[lauren_stack]: the bible for the industry and the resource that it has become and is becoming

728
00:34:18,214 --> 00:34:20,134
[lauren_stack]: from any more as we move along,

729
00:34:19,971 --> 00:34:23,651
[rudy]: I couldn't agree more. I do have to ask this question. Ju. because just because

730
00:34:23,971 --> 00:34:29,251
[rudy]: everything that is going on in the world, I know you guys are all aware that yesterday

731
00:34:29,891 --> 00:34:35,811
[rudy]: the World Aquatic Health Conference pull the plug on their live face to face Um

732
00:34:36,691 --> 00:34:42,051
[rudy]: conference that was being. And what is your backup? Do you have a backup plan or we

733
00:34:42,131 --> 00:34:46,211
[rudy]: going to go forward no matter what or where we at? With that? What are your thoughts

734
00:34:45,911 --> 00:34:46,911
[rudy]: there?

735
00:34:47,662 --> 00:34:50,862
[juliene_hefter]: Sure, Well, we always have a backup. You know, we're aquatic professional.

736
00:34:51,022 --> 00:34:55,102
[juliene_hefter]: So we're always ready to react in. you know, before emergencies happen, we

737
00:34:55,262 --> 00:34:59,662
[juliene_hefter]: plan appropriately, Um, what we are doing. Our a number of things, Um, we

738
00:34:59,822 --> 00:35:03,182
[juliene_hefter]: are. first of all, there iss going to be at any given time. There's going to

739
00:35:03,182 --> 00:35:08,222
[juliene_hefter]: be a virtual option that. Um, anybody that is not able to attend in person.

740
00:35:08,622 --> 00:35:10,222
[juliene_hefter]: Um, they will be able to sign up for

741
00:35:09,860 --> 00:35:10,860
[kristie_]: I, I,

742
00:35:10,302 --> 00:35:12,062
[juliene_hefter]: a virtual option and they

743
00:35:11,620 --> 00:35:12,620
[kristie_]: one

744
00:35:12,142 --> 00:35:18,702
[juliene_hefter]: will be able to choose one of three live, Uh, virtual sessions going on at

745
00:35:18,862 --> 00:35:21,342
[juliene_hefter]: every given time during our regular conference.

746
00:35:19,460 --> 00:35:20,460
[kristie_]: and I,

747
00:35:21,380 --> 00:35:22,380
[kristie_]: and and

748
00:35:21,822 --> 00:35:26,702
[juliene_hefter]: So the entire Mac track and the Um. the Health Inspector track

749
00:35:26,740 --> 00:35:27,740
[kristie_]: one

750
00:35:27,102 --> 00:35:30,782
[juliene_hefter]: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, though be cause a Ma track goes Monday, Tuesday,

751
00:35:30,862 --> 00:35:35,182
[juliene_hefter]: Health inspector track is Wednesday, So that those tracks will be available

752
00:35:35,362 --> 00:35:36,362
[juliene_hefter]: as

753
00:35:35,540 --> 00:35:36,540
[kristie_]: the morning,

754
00:35:36,142 --> 00:35:42,302
[juliene_hefter]: a virtual option that they can watch live Um. We will also have two other Um

755
00:35:42,282 --> 00:35:43,282
[juliene_hefter]: sessions

756
00:35:42,660 --> 00:35:43,660
[kristie_]: one, one, one,

757
00:35:43,182 --> 00:35:47,982
[juliene_hefter]: per time spot. that will be also offered as a live virtual option that

758
00:35:48,062 --> 00:35:50,462
[juliene_hefter]: people can sign up for if they're not able to attend the

759
00:35:50,020 --> 00:35:51,020
[kristie_]: I,

760
00:35:50,542 --> 00:35:54,382
[juliene_hefter]: person. Um. We do have an entire backup plan

761
00:35:52,060 --> 00:35:53,060
[kristie_]: one, I,

762
00:35:54,622 --> 00:35:58,382
[juliene_hefter]: that we could go virtual. the entire thing in three days

763
00:35:58,020 --> 00:35:59,020
[kristie_]: one,

764
00:35:58,622 --> 00:36:00,222
[juliene_hefter]: if we have to. Um. we are

765
00:35:59,860 --> 00:36:00,860
[kristie_]: I, I,

766
00:36:00,702 --> 00:36:01,742
[juliene_hefter]: planning on it if

767
00:36:01,814 --> 00:38:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss.

768
00:36:01,902 --> 00:36:06,222
[juliene_hefter]: we can right now. I'm optimistic. Um. we are planning on being in person.

769
00:36:06,622 --> 00:36:11,102
[juliene_hefter]: Hopefully on, no matter what at this point we have, we will follow all C, B,

770
00:36:11,182 --> 00:36:15,582
[juliene_hefter]: C guidelines. Um, So if we have a handful of people in person and other

771
00:36:12,460 --> 00:36:13,460
[kristie_]: I',

772
00:36:15,822 --> 00:36:17,342
[juliene_hefter]: people going virtual, we'll we'll

773
00:36:16,900 --> 00:36:17,900
[kristie_]: I. I.

774
00:36:17,422 --> 00:36:21,502
[juliene_hefter]: look at that, but we do have the option of going all virtual if we would

775
00:36:21,662 --> 00:36:23,662
[juliene_hefter]: have to. Um. But I can tell you from what

776
00:36:23,380 --> 00:36:24,380
[kristie_]: the

777
00:36:23,822 --> 00:36:27,422
[juliene_hefter]: we're hearing from everybody, they want to be in person. We've got people

778
00:36:27,662 --> 00:36:30,142
[juliene_hefter]: registered. We've got people ready

779
00:36:29,700 --> 00:36:30,700
[kristie_]: more

780
00:36:30,302 --> 00:36:33,182
[juliene_hefter]: to go in person and they don't wantnna do virtual

781
00:36:32,793 --> 00:36:33,793
[andrea_nannini]: Need

782
00:36:33,502 --> 00:36:35,902
[juliene_hefter]: um. again. We're all about safety. You know, we're

783
00:36:36,062 --> 00:36:40,782
[juliene_hefter]: aquatics people. We do first aid training. We do rescue training, So we're

784
00:36:36,533 --> 00:36:37,813
[andrea_nannini]: you need La?

785
00:36:40,942 --> 00:36:43,102
[juliene_hefter]: all about safety. Um. We will have a

786
00:36:43,140 --> 00:36:44,140
[kristie_]: i,

787
00:36:43,182 --> 00:36:48,862
[juliene_hefter]: wristband. Um, a thing in place where. if you have a, depending on your how

788
00:36:49,022 --> 00:36:52,222
[juliene_hefter]: comfortable you feel at the conference, you put a red wristband on and

789
00:36:52,302 --> 00:36:56,382
[juliene_hefter]: it can be you know I'm not comfortable getting too close. Uh yellow will be.

790
00:36:52,320 --> 00:36:58,560
[kristie_]: i, i'' and

791
00:36:56,542 --> 00:37:00,222
[juliene_hefter]: You know three to six feet is good. Green's go to be. Come on in for a hug

792
00:37:00,382 --> 00:37:04,062
[juliene_hefter]: 'cause I'm ready and that's what I'm wearing 'cause I'm I'm all ready to get

793
00:37:04,142 --> 00:37:07,582
[juliene_hefter]: back in touch with people, because I'm a hugger and I miss that. Um, and

794
00:37:07,662 --> 00:37:11,262
[juliene_hefter]: then if there's C. D. C. requirements. you know, people are very welcome to

795
00:37:11,342 --> 00:37:14,622
[juliene_hefter]: wear masks. They might be required. We don't know. at that point,

796
00:37:14,260 --> 00:37:15,260
[kristie_]: I, I, I, I,

797
00:37:15,022 --> 00:37:16,862
[juliene_hefter]: Uh, we will follow any requirements

798
00:37:16,500 --> 00:37:17,500
[kristie_]: and

799
00:37:17,022 --> 00:37:21,582
[juliene_hefter]: of the resort property. Um, so we will do whatever we can to make sure that

800
00:37:21,982 --> 00:37:25,742
[juliene_hefter]: Uh people are safe and have an enjoyable time. great

801
00:37:25,940 --> 00:37:26,940
[kristie_]: I, I

802
00:37:26,222 --> 00:37:29,982
[juliene_hefter]: educational opportunities, networking opportunities. but again we do have

803
00:37:29,602 --> 00:37:30,602
[juliene_hefter]: that

804
00:37:30,222 --> 00:37:34,622
[juliene_hefter]: backup plan. I always have that back of plan if we need to. Um, but I think

805
00:37:30,240 --> 00:37:41,760
[kristie_]: is, and

806
00:37:34,782 --> 00:37:39,342
[juliene_hefter]: we'll have a a good mix of everything because you know how it is. Everybody

807
00:37:40,062 --> 00:37:43,822
[juliene_hefter]: looks at things differently. Their comfortable level is, you know different,

808
00:37:44,622 --> 00:37:47,982
[juliene_hefter]: Um, you know what I feel comfortable with now based on my you know

809
00:37:48,142 --> 00:37:51,102
[juliene_hefter]: background experience, What I've done for the last year and a half

810
00:37:50,900 --> 00:37:51,900
[kristie_]: i, I, I.

811
00:37:51,422 --> 00:37:55,262
[juliene_hefter]: could be different than somebody else, so we will uh, take that all into

812
00:37:55,502 --> 00:37:57,102
[juliene_hefter]: consideration, but uh, we're

813
00:37:56,740 --> 00:37:57,740
[kristie_]: I,

814
00:37:57,262 --> 00:38:01,582
[juliene_hefter]: hoping by February we are just ready and raring to go. And and I we have. We

815
00:37:57,262 --> 00:38:01,582
[juliene_hefter]: hoping by February we are just ready and raring to go. And and I we have. We

816
00:38:01,582 --> 00:38:04,862
[juliene_hefter]: haven't even gotten our full conference brochure up yet, so tomorrow the

817
00:38:01,582 --> 00:38:04,862
[juliene_hefter]: haven't even gotten our full conference brochure up yet, so tomorrow the

818
00:38:01,814 --> 00:40:00,134
[lauren_stack]: Ssssssssssssss.

819
00:38:04,862 --> 00:38:09,182
[juliene_hefter]: full conference booklet comes out in our a o a p weekly, which is our free A

820
00:38:04,862 --> 00:38:09,182
[juliene_hefter]: full conference booklet comes out in our a o a p weekly, which is our free A

821
00:38:09,422 --> 00:38:13,262
[juliene_hefter]: a p newsletter that comes out every Wednesday. We've got over twenty seven

822
00:38:09,422 --> 00:38:13,262
[juliene_hefter]: a p newsletter that comes out every Wednesday. We've got over twenty seven

823
00:38:13,502 --> 00:38:18,382
[juliene_hefter]: thousand four hundred emails that that Um newsletter goes to every

824
00:38:13,502 --> 00:38:18,382
[juliene_hefter]: thousand four hundred emails that that Um newsletter goes to every

825
00:38:18,622 --> 00:38:22,542
[juliene_hefter]: Wednesday, and you will be seeing our full conference booklet with every one

826
00:38:18,622 --> 00:38:22,542
[juliene_hefter]: Wednesday, and you will be seeing our full conference booklet with every one

827
00:38:22,702 --> 00:38:27,662
[juliene_hefter]: of the sessions, Um times dates, Uh, the socials aren't in there quite yet,

828
00:38:22,702 --> 00:38:27,662
[juliene_hefter]: of the sessions, Um times dates, Uh, the socials aren't in there quite yet,

829
00:38:27,822 --> 00:38:31,262
[juliene_hefter]: but all of our new partnerships and some additional ones that are coming up.

830
00:38:27,822 --> 00:38:31,262
[juliene_hefter]: but all of our new partnerships and some additional ones that are coming up.

831
00:38:31,342 --> 00:38:34,462
[juliene_hefter]: Um, I'm goingnna put a plug in for Christi, because she's also doing a

832
00:38:31,342 --> 00:38:34,462
[juliene_hefter]: Um, I'm goingnna put a plug in for Christi, because she's also doing a

833
00:38:34,462 --> 00:38:37,662
[juliene_hefter]: couple really great executive Um development

834
00:38:34,462 --> 00:38:37,662
[juliene_hefter]: couple really great executive Um development

835
00:38:38,942 --> 00:38:45,742
[juliene_hefter]: like advanced, um, executive level, Uh sessions, and how you um can advance

836
00:38:45,982 --> 00:38:50,782
[juliene_hefter]: your career beyond thequatics and those type of things. So we really have

837
00:38:51,742 --> 00:38:55,742
[juliene_hefter]: again. I, I'm excited because we probably have the bus line up we ever have

838
00:38:55,822 --> 00:38:59,422
[juliene_hefter]: had, and I think we've always had a great one. We have a lot of great new

839
00:38:59,742 --> 00:39:04,542
[juliene_hefter]: presenters, new speakers. A lot of that is from Lauren. A lot, is it that is

840
00:39:04,702 --> 00:39:08,382
[juliene_hefter]: from Christie and I just think that people are going to look at this program

841
00:39:08,682 --> 00:39:09,682
[juliene_hefter]: and be like Wow.

842
00:39:10,702 --> 00:39:14,462
[juliene_hefter]: I can't miss this. it. It is. really, and we talk about all that you know.

843
00:39:14,322 --> 00:39:15,322
[juliene_hefter]: Our different

844
00:39:16,062 --> 00:39:19,262
[juliene_hefter]: conferences that have gone on in the past. we've been approached by other

845
00:39:19,422 --> 00:39:23,582
[juliene_hefter]: ones as. well. Uh, that will be coming on board and we will be doing some

846
00:39:23,742 --> 00:39:28,702
[juliene_hefter]: collaborations and holding additional conferences in the fun future in

847
00:39:28,862 --> 00:39:33,262
[juliene_hefter]: conjunction with ours, because people can over only travel. maybe once. now.

848
00:39:33,742 --> 00:39:38,382
[juliene_hefter]: Uh, the the cost of the flights, the cost of the hotel room, So if we can,

849
00:39:38,542 --> 00:39:43,022
[juliene_hefter]: the more we can do. all at once, people can just have options, And that's

850
00:39:43,102 --> 00:39:44,702
[juliene_hefter]: what we're trying to do for 'em. so

851
00:39:44,771 --> 00:39:51,091
[rudy]: I think that's great and people do want to get back to normal, or at least back to the

852
00:39:51,091 --> 00:39:54,931
[rudy]: way we we were. And they want to go to conferences. They want to get out and see

853
00:39:55,171 --> 00:39:58,451
[rudy]: people personally. I want one of the go away bracelets that make

854
00:39:58,100 --> 00:39:59,100
[kristie_]: Yes,

855
00:39:58,611 --> 00:40:03,411
[rudy]: people go away from you, and I may wear that well beyond the pandemic, but

856
00:40:04,531 --> 00:40:06,131
[rudy]: that's just me. Uh,

857
00:40:07,731 --> 00:40:13,731
[rudy]: so I can't think of a better person to run the beyond Aquatics sessions than Christi.

858
00:40:14,051 --> 00:40:18,211
[rudy]: She' done amazing and she's made that leap beyond thequatics. I mean it's still

859
00:40:18,211 --> 00:40:23,091
[rudy]: aquatics related, but you're in a completely different role and have been as far as I

860
00:40:23,171 --> 00:40:27,891
[rudy]: can tell, doing a bang upp job at it. Um, I mean y, you haven't burned anything down

861
00:40:28,051 --> 00:40:31,811
[rudy]: yet, so that's always a good thing, but uh that programs um,

862
00:40:33,011 --> 00:40:37,971
[rudy]: come very far. Lauren and I have talked a a little bit about Um things that they have

863
00:40:38,131 --> 00:40:41,731
[rudy]: going on on over there, so I, I'm I'm very familiar with everybody here and it's just

864
00:40:41,891 --> 00:40:46,211
[rudy]: again, it's still amazing to me. Um, one thing I want to know, though, of the three li

865
00:40:44,774 --> 00:40:49,254
[lauren_stack]: One way I want to of the Fra Wd of you that with about

866
00:40:46,451 --> 00:40:48,851
[rudy]: uh of you that are here with us as guests,

867
00:40:50,211 --> 00:40:52,051
[rudy]: which one of you has peted in the pool?

868
00:40:51,274 --> 00:40:52,274
[lauren_stack]: which one of you was

869
00:40:56,260 --> 00:40:57,260
[kristie_]: would never do that.

870
00:40:58,400 --> 00:40:59,840
[kristie_]: Its me. It

871
00:40:58,702 --> 00:40:59,742
[juliene_hefter]: I would never do that.

872
00:40:59,594 --> 00:41:00,594
[lauren_stack]: always

873
00:41:00,080 --> 00:41:01,520
[kristie_]: always made me so crazy.

874
00:41:01,574 --> 00:41:04,694
[lauren_stack]: made, Make me so crazy. My husband coach swimming, and

875
00:41:01,760 --> 00:41:05,680
[kristie_]: My husband coaches swimming. And if you know kids, a lot of times will

876
00:41:05,974 --> 00:41:11,254
[lauren_stack]: a lot of times say I have to go to the bathroom and you to get out A or

877
00:41:06,400 --> 00:41:10,000
[kristie_]: say I have to go to the bathroom at, you know, to get out of like a hard set or

878
00:41:10,080 --> 00:41:14,000
[kristie_]: practice and like the po. And please do not tell them to pi

879
00:41:11,334 --> 00:41:16,054
[lauren_stack]: practice. Just hand thele and do not to that. I.

880
00:41:13,673 --> 00:41:14,673
[andrea_nannini]: Oh,

881
00:41:14,160 --> 00:41:16,720
[kristie_]: in the pool that I am managing like seriously or

882

884
00:41:17,040 --> 00:41:21,280
[kristie_]: kid. I would get so mad at them. So he's learned better, but

885
00:41:18,594 --> 00:41:19,594
[lauren_stack]: I would get so

886
00:41:19,311 --> 00:41:20,311
[rudy]: Well where

887
00:41:19,654 --> 00:41:22,054

00:41:21,731 --> 00:41:23,571
[rudy]: we? We're not going to go beyond that

889
00:41:23,731 --> 00:41:28,371
[rudy]: on this subject just simply because that is something that's been beat to death over

890
00:41:23,734 --> 00:41:28,774
[lauren_stack]: to go beyond on something. I just simping something. thats suppose me them

891
00:41:28,531 --> 00:41:31,091
[rudy]: the years in every media publication,

892

[rudy]: look like you had a question. You have that look on

897
00:41:39,593 --> 00:41:40,593
[andrea_nannini]: yes,

898
00:41:40,131 --> 00:41:42,211
[rudy]: your face, an inquiring face.

899
00:41:42,773 --> 00:41:46,373
[andrea_nannini]: no. Actually, what happened was I was going to apologize for all the noise

900
00:41:44,054 --> 00:41:47,334
[lauren_stack]: Actually, what happened was I was going to apologise for all the noise be

901
00:41:46,533 --> 00:41:50,053
[andrea_nannini]: because my son had ordered a door dash and then my husband got home and then

902
00:41:47,334 --> 00:41:50,694
[lauren_stack]: cause. my ex son had ordered the door Asash, and then my husband got home and

903
00:41:50,133 --> 00:41:52,693
[andrea_nannini]: my dog let everybody know of both of those things.

904
00:41:50,934 --> 00:41:53,414
[lauren_stack]: my dog let everybody know Those those things

905
00:41:54,293 --> 00:41:57,493
[andrea_nannini]: I was just reading A, along with the questions and I was just kind of

906
00:41:54,934 --> 00:41:58,694
[lauren_stack]: I was just reading along with the questions and I was just kind of wanted to

907
00:41:57,573 --> 00:42:00,773
[andrea_nannini]: wanting to make sure we covered everything, but I was actually going to. Um,

908
00:41:58,694 --> 00:42:01,574
[lauren_stack]: make sure we cover everything, but was actually a Um.

909
00:42:02,053 --> 00:42:04,053
[andrea_nannini]: I wanted to just kind of

910
00:42:02,774 --> 00:42:04,854
[lauren_stack]: I wanted to just kind of

911
00:42:05,493 --> 00:42:09,253
[andrea_nannini]: explain the acronym that you guys are saying, The Mac track, which is the

912
00:42:06,134 --> 00:42:10,694
[lauren_stack]: to explain the acronym Andviser, saying the Mac track, which is the Ma, is the

913
00:42:09,333 --> 00:42:13,413
[andrea_nannini]: Mac, is the model aquatic health code for those people that might not know

914
00:42:10,694 --> 00:42:14,934
[lauren_stack]: model of onetic health cod for those people that might not know. Let me before

915
00:42:13,573 --> 00:42:17,253
[andrea_nannini]: like me before we started this, So I had to look up all the acronyms,

916
00:42:15,094 --> 00:42:18,054
[lauren_stack]: we start of this, so I had to look up all the agrones

917
00:42:17,391 --> 00:42:18,391
[rudy]: You didn't look

918
00:42:17,993 --> 00:42:18,993
[andrea_nannini]: but

919
00:42:18,451 --> 00:42:20,931
[rudy]: them up. Somebody taxxted them to you.

920
00:42:19,813 --> 00:42:25,973
[andrea_nannini]: no, I had to. I knew. I just didn't know the exact words for the each letter

921
00:42:20,774 --> 00:42:25,094
[lauren_stack]: I had to please. I knew I just have need exact words

922
00:42:25,111 --> 00:42:26,111
[rudy]: right go,

923
00:42:25,734 --> 00:42:30,054
[lauren_stack]: for the each letter anyway. So yes, the model of by health code, and for those

924
00:42:26,133 --> 00:42:30,133
[andrea_nannini]: anyway. So yes, the model aquatic health code, and for those people who are

925
00:42:30,294 --> 00:42:33,974
[lauren_stack]: people who are interested like we might not have known about the conference

926
00:42:30,373 --> 00:42:33,893
[andrea_nannini]: interested like me, who might not have known about the conference, What's

927
00:42:33,973 --> 00:42:39,333
[andrea_nannini]: the a o a P stand for? I? My screen timed out. the Association of Aquatic

928
00:42:34,534 --> 00:42:39,494
[lauren_stack]: was the a o a pi. therefor and life screen time out. the Association of

929
00:42:39,493 --> 00:42:42,293
[andrea_nannini]: Professionals say, this is how we role. This is normal.

930
00:42:39,574 --> 00:42:44,214
[lauren_stack]: aquatic Professionals say this is how we rule this normal, So there's

931
00:42:43,011 --> 00:42:48,691
[rudy]: this is unfortunately normalrry.

932
00:42:44,454 --> 00:42:48,054
[lauren_stack]: unfortunate one. So that's the conference yet On He,

933
00:42:44,873 --> 00:42:45,873
[andrea_nannini]: So that's the

934
00:42:45,893 --> 00:42:52,133
[andrea_nannini]: conferenceway

935
00:42:50,160 --> 00:42:51,440
[kristie_]: well and I will tell you,

936
00:42:51,414 --> 00:42:52,614
[lauren_stack]: Well, and I will tell you,

937
00:42:52,640 --> 00:42:57,120
[kristie_]: I mean, I have uh worked on planning conferences with Julian for a long time, and

938
00:42:52,934 --> 00:42:57,654
[lauren_stack]: I mean, I have an work time planning. Convererences with Julian were a long

939
00:42:57,760 --> 00:43:02,240
[kristie_]: she is seriously the best negotiator, so you are not going to get a better price.

940
00:42:57,814 --> 00:43:02,854
[lauren_stack]: time, and she is seriously the best negotiator, So you are not in, Get a

941
00:43:02,640 --> 00:43:06,800
[kristie_]: Uh, like she said for the hotel, how she negotiates these rates, I will never

942
00:43:02,934 --> 00:43:07,654
[lauren_stack]: matter price. Why she s for the hotel, how she negotiates these Bres and I

943
00:43:06,740 --> 00:43:07,740
[kristie_]: understand,

944
00:43:07,634 --> 00:43:08,634
[lauren_stack]: will never understand,

945
00:43:08,460 --> 00:43:09,460
[kristie_]: but it's on. It's

946
00:43:09,600 --> 00:43:13,600
[kristie_]: always first class and like she said, we want to have fun. they always have

947
00:43:09,734 --> 00:43:13,654
[lauren_stack]: But it's on it always first class. and like she said, we want to have fun.

948
00:43:13,840 --> 00:43:16,960
[kristie_]: amazing. Um, uh, you know activities

949
00:43:14,054 --> 00:43:16,134
[lauren_stack]: They always have amazing of

950
00:43:17,254 --> 00:43:23,494
[lauren_stack]: you know, activities and um socials. and it really is gonna be Um, a one stop

951
00:43:17,520 --> 00:43:24,160
[kristie_]: and um, socials, and it really is going to be Um, a one stop shop, and um, an

952
00:43:24,054 --> 00:43:29,414
[lauren_stack]: shop and a in a horrible place to go. a beautiful place to go. The resort is

953
00:43:24,240 --> 00:43:30,320
[kristie_]: affordable place to go. A beautiful place to go. The resort is amazing. Um. we are

954
00:43:29,394 --> 00:43:30,394
[lauren_stack]: amazing.

955
00:43:30,480 --> 00:43:34,560
[kristie_]: actually making a family trip out of it. And um, so we're We're looking forward to

956
00:43:31,254 --> 00:43:35,254
[lauren_stack]: We are actually making a family trip out of it and that were, we're looking

957
00:43:34,640 --> 00:43:39,120
[kristie_]: it, so um, we hope that you guys will all join us. It's going to be fantastic.

958

[lauren_stack]: forward to it. So, but we and Guise will allw as'

959
00:43:39,411 --> 00:43:43,571
[rudy]: I'm serious. I think we might try to get a booth there depending on what Julian

00:43:39,494 --> 00:43:45,254
[lauren_stack]: con fantastic Im. s, if in't my mind drawing a Blm Com on one thean George's

961
00:43:43,591 --> 00:43:44,591
[rudy]: charges us

962
00:43:44,874 --> 00:43:45,874
[lauren_stack]: house

963
00:43:45,362 --> 00:43:46,362
[juliene_hefter]: I, actually,

964
00:43:46,193 --> 00:43:47,193
[andrea_nannini]: I'm to go,

965
00:43:46,294 --> 00:43:51,494
[lauren_stack]: Da Ashley, I, I'll tell you one thing if you compar us to any other

966
00:43:47,662 --> 00:43:51,822
[juliene_hefter]: I'll tell you one thing, if you compare us to any other conference, any

967
00:43:51,734 --> 00:43:55,974
[lauren_stack]: conference, any other conference than we are considered an international

968
00:43:52,062 --> 00:43:56,462
[juliene_hefter]: other conference, and we are considered an international conference, our

969
00:43:56,134 --> 00:44:01,414
[lauren_stack]: conference, our Gothrapes are next to nothing. so right now, Ah b o a p,

970
00:43:56,622 --> 00:43:58,462
[juliene_hefter]: birth rates are next to nothing,

971
00:43:58,260 --> 00:43:59,260
[kristie_]: Mhm,

972
00:43:58,942 --> 00:44:04,382
[juliene_hefter]: so right now, a a P. commercial member, Um. Registration is a hundred and

973
00:44:01,654 --> 00:44:06,214
[lauren_stack]: commercial number, Um, It, registration is a hundred and ten dollars, and me

974
00:44:04,462 --> 00:44:09,182
[juliene_hefter]: ten dollars, and a booth is a one thousand seventy five dollars for the

975
00:44:06,534 --> 00:44:11,494
[lauren_stack]: move is a one thousand seventy five dollars for the booth that's gotbo um

976
00:44:09,262 --> 00:44:14,542
[juliene_hefter]: booth that's got the Um sideing back. Dra draping. It's got a table, two

977
00:44:11,734 --> 00:44:14,294
[lauren_stack]: sfactory, geing. It's got a

978
00:44:14,782 --> 00:44:19,982
[juliene_hefter]: chairs, a waste spastic, and comes with two people per booth and three meals

979
00:44:15,334 --> 00:44:20,934
[lauren_stack]: Che, always mastic, and comes with two people permuth and three meils per

980
00:44:20,302 --> 00:44:26,462
[juliene_hefter]: per person, So it's again we try to just keep it as reasonable as humanly

981
00:44:21,174 --> 00:44:27,654
[lauren_stack]: person. So it again we t to just keep it as reasonable as humanly possible.

982
00:44:26,702 --> 00:44:30,942
[juliene_hefter]: possible. Um. After October first, it goes up like a hundred dollars, and

983
00:44:27,974 --> 00:44:32,534
[lauren_stack]: Um. after October first, it goes up like a hundred dollars, and after January

984
00:44:31,102 --> 00:44:34,542
[juliene_hefter]: after January second goes up another hundred, but again it's super

985
00:44:32,694 --> 00:44:36,454
[lauren_stack]: second goes up another hundred, but again they's super reasonable to hear that

986
00:44:34,782 --> 00:44:36,382
[juliene_hefter]: reasonable. We hear that from everybody.

987
00:44:36,274 --> 00:44:37,274
[lauren_stack]: from everybody.

988
00:44:37,422 --> 00:44:41,582
[juliene_hefter]: Um, and again you know I sign up for conferences as an exhibitor, and it

989
00:44:37,974 --> 00:44:42,214
[lauren_stack]: Um, and again, you know, I sign up for conferences as an exhibitor, and it

990
00:44:41,662 --> 00:44:44,942
[juliene_hefter]: costs me an extra thousand dollars to get a table, two chairs in a waste

991
00:44:42,294 --> 00:44:45,494
[lauren_stack]: cost me an extra thousand dollars to get a table, two chairs in a waste

992
00:44:45,102 --> 00:44:48,462
[juliene_hefter]: basket, and we include that and everything. So we, really, you know, are

993
00:44:45,654 --> 00:44:49,014
[lauren_stack]: basket, and made flue, that and everything. So we, really, you know, are

994
00:44:48,622 --> 00:44:52,302
[juliene_hefter]: excited about that and kind of just to throw out with what Christie was

995
00:44:49,174 --> 00:44:53,494
[lauren_stack]: excited on that, and kinda just to throw out with, when Chrisy was saying, A

996
00:44:52,382 --> 00:44:57,582
[juliene_hefter]: saying. The site is absolutely amazing. We're We're very very blessed. Um, I

997
00:44:53,654 --> 00:44:59,334
[lauren_stack]: sight is absolutely amazing, but go very very bless. Um. I truly pride myself

998
00:44:57,742 --> 00:45:01,822
[juliene_hefter]: truly pride myself on getting the best deals possible, and in twenty twenty

999
00:44:59,574 --> 00:45:03,334
[lauren_stack]: on getting the best deals possible, and in twenty twenty three you're going to

1000
00:45:01,982 --> 00:45:05,582
[juliene_hefter]: three you're gonna see we are actually at the Broadmore in Colorado Springs,

1001
00:45:03,334 --> 00:45:07,414
[lauren_stack]: see the I action at the Broadmo in Colorado Springs, with room rays of a

1002
00:45:05,742 --> 00:45:09,822
[juliene_hefter]: with room rates of a hundred and eighty dollars. Uh, which those room rates

1003
00:45:07,354 --> 00:45:08,354
[lauren_stack]: hundred and eighty

1004
00:45:07,991 --> 00:45:08,991
[rudy]: two.

1005
00:45:08,374 --> 00:45:12,454
[lauren_stack]: dollars, on which those room rates are typically for by a hundred dollars a

1006
00:45:09,902 --> 00:45:13,662
[juliene_hefter]: are typically four, five hundred dollars a night, Uh, twenty twenty four,

1007
00:45:12,534 --> 00:45:20,054
[lauren_stack]: night on twenty twenty four. Um, the Are and Um Graer Resort Reno, Um. they

1008
00:45:13,822 --> 00:45:19,822
[juliene_hefter]: and t. Um, we are at Uh, the Grandier resort in Reno, Um, they did a whole

1009
00:45:20,062 --> 00:45:23,742
[juliene_hefter]: re remodel, and those room rates are like a hundred and thirty or a hundred

1010
00:45:20,134 --> 00:45:24,374
[lauren_stack]: did a whole free remodel in those who were raising like a hundred, thirty or a

1011
00:45:23,902 --> 00:45:29,182
[juliene_hefter]: and fifty. So that's even great, but we're just super excited. And uh, we're

1012
00:45:24,454 --> 00:45:29,254
[lauren_stack]: hundred and fifty. So that's even great, but we're just super excited and

1013
00:45:29,342 --> 00:45:33,982
[juliene_hefter]: excited to work with everybody. And, and that's kind of my goal in life

1014
00:45:29,814 --> 00:45:34,454
[lauren_stack]: you're excited to work with everybody and the in thats kind of my gold in

1015
00:45:34,222 --> 00:45:37,662
[juliene_hefter]: because I just love working with so many different groups and people and the

1016
00:45:34,534 --> 00:45:38,054
[lauren_stack]: length, because I just love working with so many different groups of people in

1017
00:45:37,822 --> 00:45:42,702
[juliene_hefter]: partnerships that we can come up with. And uh collaborations are just so

1018
00:45:38,294 --> 00:45:43,414
[lauren_stack]: the partnerships that we can come up with Canans and alamorations are just so

1019
00:45:42,782 --> 00:45:46,862
[juliene_hefter]: amazing, and louren. we're so excited to be working with you because you

1030
00:46:04,851 --> 00:46:06,371
[rudy]: You see you guys over there at

1031
00:46:05,993 --> 00:46:06,993
[andrea_nannini]: you

1032
00:46:06,451 --> 00:46:11,571
[rudy]: Water, Sha University, Developing more Um classes, but

1033
00:46:12,231 --> 00:46:13,231
[rudy]: geared

1034
00:46:12,522 --> 00:46:13,522
[juliene_hefter]: Sss,

1035
00:46:13,251 --> 00:46:18,211
[rudy]: specifically for these conferences May be something that's you know, just available at

1036
00:46:18,291 --> 00:46:20,771
[rudy]: these conferences. Is that a possibility in the future

1037
00:46:22,534 --> 00:46:27,094
[lauren_stack]: absolutely. Uh, Really, what we're doing at Water Shape University is putting

1038
00:46:26,834 --> 00:46:27,834
[lauren_stack]: a lot of

1039
00:46:27,122 --> 00:46:28,122
[juliene_hefter]: and and

1040
00:46:27,574 --> 00:46:33,494
[lauren_stack]: our basic content online so that people can get Um. You know basic pool

1041
00:46:33,654 --> 00:46:38,294
[lauren_stack]: construction, basic flu and engineering at their own pace, and all that, and

1042
00:46:38,534 --> 00:46:40,934
[lauren_stack]: what we want to reserve our in person

1043
00:46:41,914 --> 00:46:42,914
[lauren_stack]: education for

1044
00:46:42,242 --> 00:46:43,242
[juliene_hefter]: I

1045
00:46:43,334 --> 00:46:49,014
[lauren_stack]: are the high end, Um, the higher end, T, more technical, and uh, more

1046
00:46:49,414 --> 00:46:55,734
[lauren_stack]: experienced classes, and more experiential kind of events, which we find that

1047
00:46:55,182 --> 00:47:39,342
[juliene_hefter]: Marss,

1048
00:46:55,894 --> 00:46:59,814
[lauren_stack]: our students really like a a premium destination like we will have at Saint

1049
00:46:59,042 --> 00:47:00,042
[juliene_hefter]: and

1050
00:46:59,974 --> 00:47:05,014
[lauren_stack]: Pete Beach and Um, And also you know, tours. You know whether it's related to

1051
00:47:05,254 --> 00:47:09,734
[lauren_stack]: Frankliood, right installations, and and and all that tying our education

1052
00:47:10,774 --> 00:47:15,574
[lauren_stack]: to to places that the builders might not normally go to, so that they get a

1053
00:47:15,734 --> 00:47:19,254
[lauren_stack]: you know experiential part of their their whole educational process.

1054
00:47:20,231 --> 00:47:21,231
[rudy]: and Chrisy?

1055
00:47:22,451 --> 00:47:26,451
[rudy]: Where do you see the future of this relationship? This Um

1056
00:47:27,491 --> 00:47:32,771
[rudy]: trio we have here go. I mean, this is the inaugural event right. This is the first

1057
00:47:32,931 --> 00:47:38,771
[rudy]: time that you that you Um folks organizations have got together to put together

1058
00:47:39,811 --> 00:47:43,971
[rudy]: among. Call it advanced educational opportunities. If that's cool with all you guys,

1059
00:47:44,691 --> 00:47:48,451
[rudy]: but to offer something like this, What's the future of this chriisty?

1060
00:47:49,760 --> 00:47:54,480
[kristie_]: I mean, I just see it in definitely continuing growing. building on it. you know

1061
00:47:54,560 --> 00:47:59,360
[kristie_]: every year bringing you know something. Um, you know, hopefully maybe more

1062
00:47:59,520 --> 00:48:00,800
[kristie_]: advanced. Um, maybe

1063
00:48:02,240 --> 00:48:06,080
[kristie_]: you know. even P. you know one of the things that we've been Uh, working with and

1064
00:48:06,240 --> 00:48:10,320
[kristie_]: talking with Lauren and and the team over at Watershake University is Um. you

1065
00:48:10,320 --> 00:48:15,040
[kristie_]: know, developing courses together and Um, you know opportunities together. That's

1066
00:48:15,200 --> 00:48:18,720
[kristie_]: you know. something that's really. Um, you know important for us that the sea mack

1067
00:48:18,880 --> 00:48:23,040
[kristie_]: is you know, Um, you know, making our membership more, Um.

1068
00:48:24,240 --> 00:48:29,280
[kristie_]: valuable to our members. you know, not just you know. Come, uh, voting time, and

1069
00:48:29,520 --> 00:48:33,440
[kristie_]: you know conference time, you know our trainnual conference, Um, but you know how

1070
00:48:33,600 --> 00:48:37,920
[kristie_]: can we keep everyone engaged all year round every year and not just when the

1071
00:48:38,000 --> 00:48:42,320
[kristie_]: change request process is happening, And what kind of educational opportunities

1072
00:48:42,560 --> 00:48:46,800
[kristie_]: can we offer our members? Um, and things like that, So you know we're working

1073
00:48:47,120 --> 00:48:51,680
[kristie_]: really hard to. Um. you know, continue building this relationship to you know,

1074
00:48:52,160 --> 00:48:57,200
[kristie_]: hopefully be able to offer courses in in partnership, Um, and you know, maybe a

1075
00:48:57,280 --> 00:49:02,880
[kristie_]: certification or Um. you know some other higher educational opportunities.

1076
00:49:05,171 --> 00:49:07,411
[rudy]: Okay, so Lauren, go

1077
00:49:07,042 --> 00:49:08,042
[juliene_hefter]: s.

1078
00:49:07,271 --> 00:49:08,271
[rudy]: for it.

1079
00:49:09,654 --> 00:49:13,894
[lauren_stack]: I just want you might cut this out, so I'm just going to ask it,

1080
00:49:14,260 --> 00:49:15,260
[kristie_]: H.

1081
00:49:15,314 --> 00:49:16,314
[lauren_stack]: Christy. I'm not

1082
00:49:15,842 --> 00:49:16,842
[juliene_hefter]: I.

1083
00:49:16,354 --> 00:49:17,354
[lauren_stack]: sure you want to,

1091
00:49:35,120 --> 00:49:38,560
[kristie_]: Um, but yeah, I don't think we're We're quite there yet, but
