Thunderclap, Part 2

Hello everyone and welcome back. We've got another episode of Takin Jujutsu. This is episode forty one. I'm Steve. I'm JD. Hello. Hello. How's it going? Good man, how are you? Doing good. Good. That's happy news. Yeah. All right. Well thanks for listening and we'll see you guys next week. What's been going on? Oh rather much. Ja. I had the week off of work, that was nice. Did you do anything or was that like a staycation? Like a staycation. Yeah.

What do you do in your free time? Do you have any new hobbies I'm unaware of? No, no new hobbies. Just do my old hobbies. Play some video games. Nice. Gundams. I did get a two new ones recently that I'm real excited about. I got the uh RG two point oh of the original, the Grand Daddy, the sev R X seventy eight dash two. Nice. uh evolution of a real grade, the real grade Gundam line. Wow. Everybody loves it and I can't wait to build it. I'm so excited. That's awesome.

It's like a master grade but shrunk down to a a a high grade size. That's awesome. That'll make sense to people who are into Gundam and Good for you. Everybody else will be like, Why Yeah. Cool. How about you? How did how was your This made me think I played in a uh Horace Harrisy tournament, which is the Warhammer. Hair. Horus Heresy. All those models that I painted and stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I played in a tournament and I did good. I went three and two and I won Best Loyalist.

I don't know if any of you guys play 40K. Well, this is 30K, Horace Harrisy, but I play the Custodi, so a lot of people don't know how to match up against him. Nice. Because you You dominate.

Uh custodi think that they're gonna get in melee with me and then they just get destroyed. Nice but the last two guys I played because I won the first three, the last two guys I played were like super experienced players who were also three and oh and then three and one. So it's like, Oh this is a little different. Yeah. You're a little different and they beat the dog show. Well, the last game I was close'cause we were both three and one. He beat me four to two. Mhm. So

It's interesting how that how that happens. I remember back in my in high school when I played Yu-Gi-Oh!, there were people that I played with that I you know, my deck was way better than them. Yeah. But then I went to like my local card shop and some dude shows up with like All ultrafoils all sleeved up and everything. Yeah. And then he's like, All right, let's play.

And e he doesn't even like let one turn happen and I was like, Okay, congratulations, did you have fun? I summon Lajin and he's like that's so ten years ago and then he destroyed me. Yeah. It's weird when you go to a comic book store like your local game store to play and there's always these people who like get off on just stomping people for kick. It's weird.

You people are weird. Get over yourself. Like if that's like how you get it's like in World of Warcraft when you're low like lower level and you're leveling and someone comes to your area and just camps and kills you and I'm like you were like Got every I just started. Like, what the fuck are you doing? And they just laugh. And then, like, you try to get back to your body and respawn, and they just kill you again. Mm-hmm. And then they shout.

Yeah, they're like they're basically want you to get off the server and do something else and then you come back like four hours later and maybe they're not there. Wow. I remember do you remember all of those stupid like um Farming shit. Like Farmville, but it was more more than that. It was like a a village, uh like a a virtual village that you could you had to like ship your trade your shit around and people could come to your town and raid your house. I remember.

That was wild. Yeah. I can't remember what it was called, but I remember doing that for a brief moment. Yeah. Not by choice. We did something like that Clash of Clans. I don't know if you ever played that. It was like that, but And like my brother was super into it. Like he had super upgraded walls and like I was like I can't even build that wall. Yeah. Authorization. He's got like twelve levels of that wall. Just I'm like, oh my God. Some people got really into it. Yeah.

That was not me. I played it casually. Yeah. Same with World of Warcraft. I love World of Warcraft but I was never And everyone was like, Steven, what are you talking about? You especially You chud, you would love It's only fun if you play with friends. It's not a fun game to play by yourself. Yeah. In my opinion. Mm-hmm. Well, I...

Because you want to go raiding with your friends, yeah. Do all that shit. Just grinding low-level shit until you get up by yourself is not fun, in my opinion. Right on. But I'm glad I didn't get into it because it didn't really have friends. Yeah. Same. Like I got to the point where none of my friends were playing it so I stopped playing it. Mm-hmm. Anyway.

Any dang way. All right, for we're gonna talk about Jujutsukais. Cheeks. That's a good uh that should be uh your new handle in the Discord. Thunderclapping those cheeks. Thunderclapping these nuts. Clapping robot cheeks is still my favorite Five in a row cheeks it is. Very good. So good. Hilarious. I laugh every time. Um, this episode starts with Megumi. Megumi. He is bleeding a lot. Yeah,'cause Shigamo, the dude with the hand sword.

S has stabbed him a few times after his fight with Toji. Like he fought Toji and Toji shot himself in the head so he wouldn't hurt Megumi and Megumi thinks he's all good and then stabbed. He got stabbed. Uh so yeah, Megumi's like bleeding out and and Shigama's Shigimo is like, Well, uh you know, I could kill you, but you know in a few seconds you will bleed out. Yes. So you know, whatever, Bysville.

Well he compliments him, he's like, You're so strong for how younger are you? Well they wouldn't even let me get close. But while this is happening, Megumi is talking about his tin shadows technique. He has a a s a secret card up his throat. So everybody can cast all ten of these shinic shikigamis. Shigigami. But With the two with the wolves.

Yes, everybody starts with one but that you can cast more, but the only reason you get to keep them is if you're able to subdue the Shikigami and then you can control it. Payment, like in Minecraft, you have to give a dog a bone. So you're working up in levels and he's like, So no one hen history has ever tamed this one that I'm about to go. about to go. He's about to unleash him? Because he's doing some secret technique. Right? Yeah, it's the it's the tin shadows.

Yeah, and Gojo's like, do you know why the Zenin clan and the Gojo clan hate each other? No. Because the Zenin clan use the technique that Megumi is about to use to kill the leader of Of the gojo. Nojo Clean. 'Cause he there's always a Gojo who has the six eyes and the and the limitless. Yes. And this thing could defeat the guy who had that. Yes. Like what the fuck? Yeah.

So it goes back to the present and like this weird shadow comes around Magumi and Shigimo and he says, With this treasure I summon and uh We're not sure what it is because it cuts to Urame and Sakuna.

Sakuna is he just like defeated what's his face? Yeah. Jogo. Jogo. So there's like lava everywhere'cause he decided to use his own lava to or his own technique and burned him with Lava so hot it burned lava. He's like, I like to beat you with your own technique. You show me yours, I'll show you mine. Mm-hmm. Mm. Uh he's talking with that girl, whatever her face is. What did you say her name was? Ura Uraume. Rao May. Uraume.

Romance. Yeah. He's like, Oh, all that'll have to wait, I need to go handle this. And then we find out that Shigemo has some weird ability where he's He gets miracles. Supremely lucky when he's about to die, which is why he hasn't died again. Uh Hanami. Is that his name? Yes. Not Nanami. Nanami. Nanami. Yeah. Not Hanami, that's the demon. Nanami.

And uh the other guy. I can't remember who the other guy was. Because I remember just being like, Why where's this guy keep coming from? Right. I could have sworn that every time he was in a fight he died. Yeah. But no, he's got a miracle power. Yeah. He doesn't know about it. No, he doesn't. And then he gets Saved by Miracles and he has marks under his eyes or around his eyes that let you know how many he has left.

Oh, is that what that was? Yeah. Gotcha. He gets saved by Sakuna. Sakuna like Because this we see this weird like big thing wrapped in cables and And almost mummified. Big angel looking thing. Yeah, and Shigimo was like, Oh shit, he I had to be part of this exorcism or this ritual to get this thing out. And its name is the Eight Handled Sword Divergent Silo Divine General Maho Maho Rad. Maharaga, this is the thing that uh Megumi is unleashing that's powerful enough to defeat a Gojo.

Yeah, and Megumi even like he apologizes to Ididori. He's like, Sorry, man. This thing is gonna kill me. And like that's that's his thing, is that it it kills him and it kills Whatever. Whoever he locks in this not a domain, but whatever the fuck he's calling this thing. So In the in the uh ritual. Yeah, in the ritual. And so in that instant that he does that, like it smacks and kills Megumi, or you know, launches him up against a building, like, come on, he's And suspended death.

S in suspended death, he's not dead until this thing kills Shigabow. Yes. And that's when he gets saved by Sakuna. Sakuna's like, I can't lose Megumi. He is too valuable, he's too strong. I want to keep him around. So the only way for me to keep him alive is to kill this thing. Gotta kill. From the outside. The Maharaga. And so the Maharaga, it does not die no matter what. It is the ultimate like

weapon. It adapts to like everything that you throw at it like in the most perfect way and is able to regenerate completely. It's Imajin Boo. Yeah. It's Majin Boo. Yeah, and I forgot Sukuna like he sees um what is his name? Mag Megumi and realizes that he's almost dead, and so he reverse curse techniques him and like heals him.

Yeah, he's like I I gotta keep you alive. You I'm not done with you yet. You're you're an in um omoshiroi. You're a very interesting boy. Yeah. O moshiroi means interesting. So he goes right at Maharaga and that thing like has a sword and it comes down and like hits Sakuna, but Sakuna blocks it. Mm-hmm. And then we get some weird Yeah.

This fight is weird and I love it. Yeah. It's hard to describe. I want to talk about this'cause it's kind of the elephant in the room. Let's talk about it. The animation is not great. It's not great. It looks weird. It looks ugly. Yes. It looks ugly. It looks unfinished. Uh-huh. Like it looks like they had the background sketched and then they didn't finish animating either Sukuna. Uhhuh. Yuji even looks like a square. Square man.

Yeah, and it's just a square. The Maharaja, you could sometimes it's like super wavy, like they did a rough draft of it just to get it on the page. And we know that there were like Labor problems and they were totally mistreating their animators. So I'm not mad at them at the animators. I'm mad at the people in charge who have forced this kind of shit because corporate Agree. Corporate greed.

He he's fighting it and like the fight goes on for a while and like he does his dismantle. This other dude, the sword is like does something with cursed energies like if I was a curse I'd have been dead right away. Sakuna's doing some he's not doing a domain, he's doing this other weird thing where the the narrator describes it as trying to paint a painting on thin air or whatever. Whatever.

So he's I I kill and he's keeping Megumi out of it and it's like just between him and this Mahuraga guy. I don't quite understand. Yeah, it's weird because like As the fight goes on, he realizes kind of what this thing is. It's like It it can see my technique, it learns what kind of technique I'm doing and like it totally matches it. And he talks about some other sorcerer or something or a curse maybe even that did kind of the same thing. Right? Sure.

I can't I can hardly follow with like the dialogue in this. It's wild. I'm I'm just here for the freaking just crazy animation. Yeah.'Cause it I I think what it was is it it learns what technique I'm doing and is able to adapt to it. So like I'm doing all these Yeah. And it knows it learns how to not be cut up anymore.

Yeah. Like it and so it it's you're not gonna beat it. If you don't kill it in the first strike of your f the technique you're using for the very first time against it, it's not gonna work. He's already learned how to defend himself again. Yeah. So then he does his domain expansion malevolent shrine. Mm-hmm. And they that's like what you said, like It's not a separate space for the domain that you like enclose in a barrier. Um it's in the existing airspace.

Like without a barrier. Like you said, painting directly in the air instead of on a canvas. And so he's able to direct it and he's like, Oh, we're only gonna do it a hundred and forty meters wide and things like that. Um And uh yeah, then he like does he actually defeat it? That's that's like my thing. He defeats it in the end, right? I can't remember how long and how many tries it takes for him to like fucking finally put this thing under but

Wild. Just like all of the nonsense that he does where he does that what was it? The the thing where it like sliced up everybody who was like underground and their phones got annihilated. What was that thing called? Dismantle? Dismantle. Yeah. That was Weird.

So like he's'cause he like slashes it a whole bunch but it still walks up to him and the but then he switches and he does like the fire thing that he used to kill Jogo because he's like this thing is already Already learns how to not get cut up, like I said. So this fire Did the fire kill? I think the fire killed it. Oh okay. And it Geez does it destroy the There's like a big crater. Yeah, like they're already cop chopping down buildings with these slashes and things that are going through it.

The part where it was like launching cars at him. Remember? Yeah. It was like remember in GTA with the mod where you could shoot cars out of your gun? Yes. It was just like that. Yeah. I remember that. He threw a train at him at one time. Yeah. Dude, it was a hell of a fight. It's weird after we see the like the crater, we see a weird Yuji. It's like it's not Sakuna, it's Yuji. And he's just looking at something. Mm-hmm. But then immediately he's Sakuna again. Yeah.

And then that's when we see Maharoga mo Mahoraga like just dissolve into liquid. Mm-hmm. And so Sukuna walks past Shigimo and he's like, All right, get lost, you curse user, you're blah blah blah. Your miracles have run out. Get the fuck out of here. And he runs into the crater and then um his he dies. So I guess the crater is so hot that you can't survive. I don't fucking know. I don't know. He he got sliced, didn't he? Maybe.

He got sliced. He he he thought he was lucky and he's like, Ha ha, I'll be the luckiest man ever but then it turns out his luck had run out and his I could s he got sliced, like his face came off. Yeah. And uh yeah, that's how he died. You're rant.

And so he realizes that Yuji is starting to take over. He's like, Oh, you lucky son of a bitch, enjoy it while it lasts. So he tells Magumi where to go find Shoko and uh y Masamichi Yaga. And he's like Um, then he walks into the area where he had just destroyed everything and he's like, Yo, be sure and take a good look, Yuji, at what you're about to see, because I just want you to be aware.

Yep. And then Yu G shows up and he relives all of the murder that his body just committed. Yeah. And he is not handling it. I mean he throws up, falls on the ground and then scrap. Scraping his fingertips off. Yeah. Yeah, so at the beginning of the episode he had a flashback to his granddad telling him, Hey, you're strong, you need to help people. So after his moment of panic, he's like, You know what? Yeah.

All I can do is help people and fight, and then I need to die. Because if that doesn't happen, I am a murderer. Nothing but a murder. So that's how and that's how we know how he get How the story is.

I guess. He gets all the fingers and let's and he's like, I'm done. I've I've helped people. I've also killed a lot, so I'm out. Take me out. Yes, we see Nanami. Boy does he look bad. He looks like two-faced. He's Two Faced from uh uh Dark Knight. Yes. The best Batman movie. Because his left side is totally burned, you can tell his eye and he's just dragging himself with his knife. I knew that he would survive the Jogo attack. Still. Can't kill Nanami, he's the best. He's the best character.

there ever was. Like no one ever was. Yeah. And he is walking down a hallway in Shibuya Stadium. Yeah. shabuya shabuya shabuya roll call So not a lot happened. I mean I know that was a quick Yeah, not a lot happened. Like a lot of really cool stuff happened, but I'm not we I'm bad at describing things, so I'm gonna just talk about the fighting. You're not bad at describing things. Buy real estate in Japan? You could though. Just do it. Just do it. Just buy it. Do it. Kill him.

So it's a whole good episode. I was disappointed, like I said, with the animation. I I think that some of it is still pretty awe inspiring despite it looking, you know, kind of ugly. I don't disagree. And like the Sakuna with like the weird red scribbles on it, I liked that a lot. That I could see as being stylistic. But like just the blob of white for The Bob of White. Maharoga. Yeah, I I understand. Yeah, anything you want to add? No. Nice. Sorry. There we go.

Do we have anything else we want to talk about? No, we're good. We've hit we're about to hit twenty minutes. We're fine. It's good enough. I'm pretty far behind on Boku no hero still. I'm uh just It crazy. I've got a lot of things going on. All right. Sometimes I can't f stay awake to watch an enemy. Mm-hmm.'Cause I'm oldish shit.
