Because we were worried about Jonathan Cooper affecting the way that Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith play. Now you worried, You're worried or you've got more confidence in him, especially these last two games. What gave you that confidence? Just the way he's played and the way the offensive

lines played and how they've run the football. Yeah, this is another one of those good matchups though, protected and protected the quarterback. It's gonna say that that, Grady Jared. I think he's probably thirteenth going forward

with Halloween. So I went back and looked, and I think he heard it on the first kick and he was able to kick the extra points right, but they had to forego a field goal attempt. I think they went forward on fourth now they did on the other side of them. Yeah, they lost closely. Yeah, they did eats Carolina. So now all these kickers, Washington was without their kicker when the Cowboys played him, have Bailey. Now

they still don't have Bailey, and they could be without him. Yeah. So, but they didn't do anything like put him on IR or anything. Right, No, no, no, no, they just they just brought in a safety net. Yeah. Yeah, now you're right. You brought up Grady Jarrett. He's a guy to watch for the Falcons. He was limited, and then DeVante Freeman, the of course running back that ran all over the Cowboys here at AT AT and T Stadium two seasons ago.

He was on there with a knee and limited. Julio Jones, You guys may have heard of him, he's one of the most elite wide receivers in the NFL. DMP with an ankle Tack McKinley if you guys watched the draft show, you know him very well. Shoulder limited, Duke Griley. They're linebacker,

knee DNP and then of course cornerback. Though you should definitely know if you've been thinking about this game this weekend, Desmond Truffont the cornerback with an ankle and he was limited, So you're right, Mickey, they definitely do have some some key injuries there, and I think you brought up, of course Grady Jarrett, but someone like Julio Jones is one

that sticks out to me. Five of those starters either limited or DNP and that Wednesday though, Mickey, Yeah, but come on, I don't I understand, but talk to me day Bill. Julio Jones is gonna play. Yeah, talk to me about. I'm glad he's got an ankle that'll slow him down. Wow, Sting's got a Sutting's got a slow sound. I like Mickey because he's like a mob jacket guys. He's got a mob attitude today. I like it, you know. But that's good though. You got me to go there.

You guys get out about kind of like talking about when oh you need this team to win and kind of get banged up and all that. They can be stopping the run if you, if you, If they could play good defense like Mickey's had him the last couple of weeks playing that run defense all good, but if you if you don't, if you don't, I mean, I say, Sarkisin has taken a lot of heat for the way that the offense has performed. The numbers on the Cowboys run defense are amazing. Like when they've the five games they've won, they've given up like sixty rushing yards. Yeah,

per game. The three losses, it's like one sixty. Yeah, it's been really bad when it's been bad. Yeah, And that's a lot of it's had to do with whether Sean Lee's been in the lineup. But two, you need that offense to kind of be at full strength to be nice. If the courts decide Zeke can play and you know, you get Dez and Smith and all that, that would surely help. As has McKinley been hurt for them.

I wonder I just thought about that. I wonder if he's been on their injury report every week with that shoulder thing that I've watched him played the last two weeks because Dolphins they've got him listed as third team. Well, he actually rotates. Is he like taco? He's a taco. I mean, he's got seven tackles. He's a Taco. No, didn't he get picked like one pick ahead of doubt one, but he had he had a shoulder thing that kept him. I wonder that's why he ropped exactly. Was he there

way of doing this. It's like they're trying to qualify. They were trying to qualify this little new committee they they put together to combat domestic violence. And I think think they thought if they just put domestic violence as the title, everybody was going to be in their favor because everybody's against domestic violence and we are, absolutely, but just you know, adjudicate it fairly. Yeah, exactly. That's all. So the plan is for him to be back tonight

and if he's still eligible at that point, he'll practice tomorrow. Yeah. If they don't, don't roll he could practice tomorrow because they'll be done by twelve thirty. Rights, you know, it could be they'll put the post the thing at nine o'clock in the morning soon as they go to work, or nine o'clock tonight and make everybody sit here and wait. the Atlanta Falcons guy to go to Sea. He would be helping with the run game. Let's just say him verse the run game. How do you guys feel about that kind of matchup? Yeah, I've watched it myself and I like it because, I mean, if you're an Atlanta Falcon fan, that's your guy, you know. I mean the Falcons have had some struggles on first and second down in the running game. Now. The thing with Neil is that he's the one guy that can be physical at

the point of attack if things break down. He's the one guy that can cause turnovers if you need that way, because I saw him rip the ball right out of Jonathan Stewart's hands last week in the Carolina game. So he is a physical hitter. So if it comes down to a lot of collisions, whoever it's Zeke Morris Smith, whoever it is playing at that spot, there's gonna be a lot of collisions. With number twenty two because that's

the style in which he plays. Now. As a team, they haven't done very well defending their own first down, and teams have done a really good job of converting on second down against him running the football. So you know, keep an eye on how that all plays out. But put Neil is a is a legitimate safety for this Falcon team. I thought you brought up a really good point. Game by the way they are, Atlanta is eighteenth against the run, one hundred and fourteen yards a game, midpack.

It's to me, it's more about what the Cowboys do and if you don't have Tyran, how does that affect the operation? Because god, we've seen it. It's been so good for really three weeks now, and really a little more than that. That fourth quarter of the Green Bay game six weeks scot twenty eight or more, six weeks in a row. Okay, I don't think they really seem to find traction though until the fourth quarter of that Green Bay game, it was a better running guest it was.

Zeke had ninety yards in that quarter and they kind of took off from there, and I think some of it had better since yes, yeah, and some of it. Brian has been hammering this. It's the fronts they played in the first month. But I just wonder, you know, if you don't have Tyrant, how does does the operation just keep flowing? Yeah? That's my question. To who you're playing? What happened last year? Have we looked and say that the two games that boy Chaz Green San Francisco was one of the San Francisco and Tampa. I want to say, well, I just feel like that's different entirely because you had Ron Learry instead of Jonathan Cooper. True, Ron was played great last year. Chad did a nice job at left tackle. I felt like in the two games tired miss. But I don't like Jonathan Cooper, do

you know? I just I don't trust Jonathan Cooper as much in the run game as much as I had seen from Ron Leary. But when did you start trusting Ron Larry? Because the beginning of the year Ron Larry was just moving in for ELC Collins. But he'd been a starter for this offense for three or four years right before that, So I don't think it was that run. Was it a couple of years? A couple of years, Yeah,

year or two two years. He there wasn't an adjustment period with him going in there, I know, but he was a familiar as he got beat out by somebody else, Collins, he got he kind of got wally pipped. Yeah, well I think Collins and yeah, Collins got hurt and that was it. I mean, I I don't know. I mean, I I like what tays saying though about about Cooper. I want to believe that things are getting better with him. I do. I mean, I think visually you can see

some positive things. I do worry about Chaz Green in this game because the one strength that the Falcons do have is the edge rushers. You know, we worry about We worried about Collins going up against guys. I mean, he's going to have his hands full with Vic Beasley over there. You know, let's see what happens over on the other side. But every time you want to throw dirt on Chaz Green, and I'm talking about myself, he

comes out and it plays a pretty good game. He's a gamer, yeah that he's not the liability that you might thought he would be. I just worry about penalties

in the game. You know, if it turns into Okay, you get the false starts and stuff, but heck, we've seen some problems with Tyron Smith himself, you know, Yeah, and that's a I don't know if I don't know if you can necessarily say and correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know if if Tyron Smith has been the best offensive lineman they have of the five, who would

you say Martin? I think Martin has been. Yeah, Martin and Frederick for sure, you know, I mean the way the way Martin's played, I mean, I think he's been. And that's not a slam at Tyren Smith, but I mean, I just feel like if you said, who's the one that appears that's had the most, you'd probably with taking out of the left guard and the right tackle. We've seen the all pros. We've seen them penalized, I think

a little bit more than yeah. And normally if that that has usually an indication that whatever's physically bothering you, right, you know, you're probably not moving as well as you normally do. Yeah, he got beat on an inside move the other day, but that's that's if when you're gonna beat Tyren Smith, you gotta beat him going inside. That's always kind of been his his his achilles healed there.

But I I, you know, I feel like though that you know, we'll see how this line plays, and it's it's not one of the it's not one of the best defensive lines they play, but they still have some talented guys over there. And you are on the road. You know, you gotta keep And that's why I think. And you're indoors and when this will be there first time to kind of experience what kind of noise there

is in right stadium. Yeah. The thing that you have to worry about though, is in and Rob said this early Ken you consistently run the football with no Zeke and no left tackle. Now, that's that's where this is going to mean. You could probably get away with it if you have Zeke and having Chaz Greenplane as your left tackle. I think you can. I think that's the bigger concern. Yeah, I don't think it's Chads green that's

like it from two aspects. I think that I do believe this with my heart did Steve Sarkissing has taken a lot of heat in Atlanta for not getting his weapons going. Everybody's wondering why are the Falcons not having success in red zone? Why is Matt Ryan doing this? Why can't they successfully run the football consistently? I mean he's taken a lot of that, and I think coaches, when they take heat, they go back to try and go back to the basics. And I think this is

where that matchup with Sean Lee. Mickey's been right with Sean and what he's meant to this football team. You know, the run fits have been really really good, especially last week. It gets a quality back and you're gonna have to do the same thing. But it's going to be about Sean Lee getting the football, you know, him anti hitch and I I mean you could, you could, you could point to a lot of guys having to play well.

I mean Jason Garrett was talking about really it's unconventional to play Tyron Crawford at right defensive end, but it's worked for this football team. So yeah, you could say Sean Lee and I'm totally with you, and I even wrote about that. But man, he's going to have to have a game where they can't let Freeman control this game, and they and they've got to discourage they've got to discourage Sarkissian from wanting to call his number a bunch.

Interesting stat with their running game against Carolina last week. This is from I think the Falcons Network radio network. They had nine runs of two yards or less on second, third, fourth down. They got one yard total right of those runs. They've really struggled in short yard to trying to run the football, keep drives going. So something to keep an eye, which is surprising to me because they really do have a nice one two punch with Coleman and Freeman there. Oh,

how's their offensive line? It's they're only missing one guy from the super Bowl and that would be the guard. Which guard was that? It was Sweitzer? Sweitzer as that you say, I'm messing, sweetzer, But yeah, they're only missing one guard, one offensive lineman from their super Bowl team. Yeah. So yeah, it's they've struggled, and I just I just like I said, I worry about them saying, Okay, we're gonna be committed to try and you know, we could

be committed to trying to stop the run. Teams get committed to try and stop Zeke, they'd always have success. But you can be committed to it. And I'm interested to see if the Falcons in fact say, Okay, we're gonna hand the ball, we're gonna toss the ball, We're gonna do things we have to do to try and get these two backs going downhill against this Dallas defense. And if the Dallas defense is good enough, we'll see.

But I always just think about the offense. The offense is one of the best friends that the Cowboys defense has. Their ability to score a lot of points, the ability to hold the football, ability to convert third downs, all those things are huge when they play. Absolutely, Mick, what you loo can up over there? I'm just seeing. I mean, I don't know. Buffalo and Miami's God's gift to defense. They beat him, helped them to seventeen points. Both games

played in Atlanta. By the Well, this is where Mickey goes down to the schedule says, what's so great about them? Well, they're four that I did. Nobody said they're unbeatable, No, I'm just saying they're four and four. Somebody stops somebody. No, that's what I'm saying. But you you don't want to get in a situation where all of a sudden they figure it out. Are the Falcons better than that record? I think they are. They're way more dangerous than that.

I think they're more dangerous. They're enough, they're better, Well, they're they're they're similar. As far as personnel with Kansas City, who would you take? You got the reigning MVP at quarterback, Julio Jones is just he's a but but Julio is there's nobody like him in the NFL with his height, his his size. Salad Bill, Yeah, Bill would get down the field. I mean, I don't care what the numbers say. They've got to be able to stop him. And that

running game probably said that last week about Tyreek Hill. No, we did, absolutely, we did, and they did and they did a great job. And I think the offense had a lot to do with that too. But the defense was hey again, run fits and coverage that that interception was a great read by Jeff Heath and Orlando Scandrick jumping underneath. That's what you gotta have. I like hearing that though, go out and play defense. Yeah, that's true. I just worry about this team if it turns into

we're losing. If Mickey was talking about if you don't have Smith, if you don't have Bryant and you don't have Zeke, does this turn into a seventeen point team? Let me ask you this brand, if the Falcons do feel like, Okay, we are more dangerous than this, we are a better team than let's get back to a winning record. Here, what part of the Cowboys whatever do you think they'll try to expose of the running game. Yeah, they'll run, they'll run. They'll see if Dallas they've got it,

if they really believe that. Dallas's offense, like Mickey always likes to talk about, is a thirty point offense, and it can do so well in the red zone. Inside the thirty they're great, you know, I mean they score touchdowns to get down their sixty five percent of the time, sixty eight percent of the time they're gonna score touchdowns down there. Yeah, it's hard to defend. You're you're saying, Okay, what's our best defense. Our best defense is our offense scored.

That's the problem with Atlanti's defense. Right now, their team's averaging seventeen points a game. Last year they were averaging in the you know, like thirty points a game. Yeah, one of the best offenses in the league. A little reason why they got to the Super Bowl. But it's a little hand in hand. They're not they're not giving

any extra possessions to their not at all. No. No, I think if they were up for more than six takeaways, this offense might be averaging a touchdown for a game and be more closer to thirty points a game than twenty. Where they us they're turning it over. Yeah. Yeah, Mattie Ice has seven picks. He had seven picks all last year. Mattie Ice. Yes.
