So I don't want to spell so many beans yet, but that's kind of where we're at, and I do want to congratulate there was about two of you who reached out um and found my little Marvel cinematic teaser at the last Sun Vanished episode. of gave you a little hint at what's to come. And unfortunately, you guys just aren't real fans. Apparently that's how this works. You hear the outro and you click off and you miss, you miss the You miss a good bit hit is what gig well played. It was over. So I want to talk real fast though about the Dungeons and Dragons movie. Oh yeah,
yeah, I want to get into the Sun Vanished. But I know some people are kind of like I kind of we're ready for their content, but there are a handful of you people are leaving reviews referencing the Sun vanished on it Apple, So we had to do that. We had to do. Is this part three? Three? Yep? Part three? But I want to talk about the Dungeons and Dragons movie because not enough people are fucking
talking about how good this movie was. Yeah, I know, we talked about it on Monday, but didn't you say you learn more about it? Yeah? So I did find out that the folks from Critical Role were like pretty pretty heavily involved in this, no wonder, it felt like a campaign, and so was Vin Diesel. So Vin Diesel people are I don't know how folks didn't know this, but he's like a huge D and D nerd. I did not know that. Yeah, so he was like I thought
he loved his family. No, yes, but he was like helping along as well. And then they also reached out to the D and D community on Twitch, which I thought was really fucking cool, and they they had pitched the entire idea for like quarters of the movie in an actual campaign over on Twitch to see like how what people? Yeah, what was the reaction be? So okay, okay, all I'm saying is if you guys, if you're looking, if you're if what the movie showed me the most is
that we as a species are ready for the next great fantasy adventure. I mean because for the next chapter. Yeah, for me, it kind of ended with Lord of the Rings and then I think Game of the Game of Thrones kind of scratched that itch, but not really because Game of Thrones was, at least for me, more about like character dynamics and progression and that sort of thing, whereas Lord of the Rings was like you were transported to
this entirely different world. I don't know really, Howlse describe it well. I feel like a lot of us grew up as book nerds, and you know, especially in the smynty just from talking with some people, you know, we grew up reading a lot of books. And for me, like the Hunger Games was really big, or the Maze Runners or I did not watch the Maze Run movies till we got together. I didn't watch me that
I read the books. See, I didn't read the books either. Those were kind of like after I was out of high school, those gain popularity, so I knew about their existence, but I didn't realize how good they actually were. Yeah, But one thing I love about those books that were written is in those series especially, is how easy it is for me to go back and actually want to reread them. You know, even though teenage me read them already, I find that it would be nice to go back
and read them. But that this whole generation of movies that came out from these books, yeah, really excelled and really helped carry us into a different kind of fantasy. But I don't feel like I see a lot of that happening now with this generation. Well it's funny because you kind of go through these waves, like with gaming, for instance, like it was all zombies
for about seven to eight years. Every game was a zombie game, and then that died off, and now the zombie games that are coming out are usually really fucking good, but you don't see it quite as often, see what I'm waiting for now. And it's kind of just it's funny because I think the human race just does this on its own. We're having a return to cowboys because I mean, like I'm rewatching Yellowstone, and I know there's
like two prequels of Yellowstone, so I still have to watch. Yeah, I think like the wild West. The Westerns are coming back, and I don't know if that's because we had like major movies like Jingo Unchained and then they had the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The main character also was like cowboy, super into cowboys. I think he played a cowboy on the TV show Dame Winchester is actually just dad Cowboy. That's just ghosts ghost cowboys.
Yeah. Oh, speaking of which, I want to go ahead and think whoever the asshole was in the group that spoiled the end of The Winchesters for me, haven't even watched the first episode yet and I know how it
ends, and I'm very upset. Are you serious? Yeah, So someone posted a TikTok and the responses in our group, this person was taken out of the group, not by me, I think they like I think it was a bot and because someone said, hey, there's a show called The Winchesters, this bot fucking responded, which is weird because like we vet everyone that gets in the group, so we very rarely have a spam problem. But it was a video and it had like the had their car and had
a picture of Bobby. So I clicked on it to see what the video was, and then it's the ending of the fucking Winchesters. So it's like, okay, which I'm not hearing great things about that series anyway, So it is what it is. But I still don't like having the the endings of things ruined for me. Yeah. So the last thing I want to talk about. We had a Hemmy Storm's daughter Whitney post in the group.
Did you see her video she posted? Yeah? So she ended up figuring out that it was a local farm just you know, up to some fuckery. But my first thought was like, if the sun doesn't show up, let us know, because this is this is a little sketch because it was literally like the helicopter noise that we're hearing in these videos. Yeah, so I did do a little bit of digging into the sun vanished. Um,
it's still going on. They're trying to adapt it to television or there's like a television deal that's being talked about right now, and it's it's really weird because the studio doesn't seem to want the current writing team to write the television series. I hate when they do stuff like that. Yeah. So the problem is I'm getting this information from Twitter, so I don't. I don't know how accurate this is, but this is a story that took place one
hundred percent on Twitter, So yeah, don't take salt. Oh last thing, someone asked us what our opinions were on the HBO Harry Potter remake. It's not out yet, I think I don't. I don't even know that they started filming. But are you familiar at all with I know that they're making each movie into season on TV. Yeah, there's a lot of people mad about it. Yeah, so I someone asked us in the group, and I figured this would be a good, like quick conversation for this episode.
The only thing that'll piss me off is if they don't cast Adam Driver as young Severis Snape. Adam Driver plays the the new like big Bad in the New Star Wars movies to do with a big nose. M you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I think he would be like the perfect cast. But what are your thoughts on I don't know, because it's like I feel like, in my mind, Harry's always gonna be Daniel Radcliffe, Like end of conversation, like, oh I see
who you're talking about? Okay, Yeah, I feel like, personally, Harry Potter. The Harry Potter movies are going to have a special place in my heart. Yeah, because growing up, you know, you'd watch him every Halloween. You go through a binge that in Star Wars for me,
and Lord of the Rings too. But I think that there's room because there's definitely a lot of details in the books that weren't in the movies, and I feel like, like, for me, one of my biggest gripes about the movies was actually Sorcerer's Stone, the first one where they take Harry Potter to the town the dion Alley, not diagon Alley, but the other one where he actually buys all of this. Wise, yeah, diagon Alley. I thought that was the evil one. No, that's Nocturnality, Nocturnaley.
Okay, yeah, you're right. You're right. When they take first take them to diagon Alley, they don't actually show like the excitement of being a kid and wanting to buy all these things and seeing all the candy. I think they tried to represent that when Haggard bought him the Headwig, but it's it wasn't the same, No, because because when I read it as a kid, it made me so happy and so excited. I wanted everything they talked about in the description of diagon Alley, like you could almost feel what
it was like to walk through. Yeah, and then like you know, you could kind of compare that to like school shopping. You know, when you're getting it's school. It's not the same, but you could understand why there was some excitement there. I don't I agree. I think there's always room for more detail, but I just hope they don't fuck it up because I personally I think that the cartoon Hobbit movie phenomenal. I think they fucked up the Hobbit movies entirely. I think that might be a hot take.
I don't think so. I think most like Tolkien fans agree. I think they did a phenomenal job when it came to the actual visuals and making a realm for the Hobbit. But I think they fucked up a lot of stuff
that didn't really happen the way that I think Tolkien would have wanted. I agree, and I was waiting for that big crossover moment because like you know, when Gimli isn't I think it's the is it the first one when they go to the Minds of Maria. There's that whole like emotional breakdown scene where he realizes like this is their home. Yeah, there, ken Folk,
and it really wasn't portrayed very well. They went too far on the greed side of things when it came to the Hobbit, and that's I understood why that was an important character arc, but I still wanted to see that crossover to maybe even a flash forward to Gimlee, like why he was so upset in the Minds of Maria. Okay, so with that being said, let's get on. Let's discuss some sun vanished here. Yeah, so when we last left all I don't want to. I want to see when we last
left our heroes. I watched too much fucking Dragon ball Z. Yeah, apparently when we laugh he left our main character. He was on his way to try and find Danyon. He was out the coordinates or he was driving towards the coordinates, and then a car pulled up behind him. Yep, so there was a car following in for the past ten minutes. They post a photo and it's just headlights in the rare river mirror. Then he gets a text from Danyon and the titles just my blood just ran cold. Danyon
says, pull over, we just need to talk. He says, I'm doing it, and then he gets another text from the Danian phone number. This isn't Danyon, but he is safe. Please pull over, just let us talk to you, and I'm just going to continue one. I'll let you guys know when we jump dates or if there's anything important we need to discuss. Yeah. I don't even know what to say after that encounter. I attempted recording, but they noticed and stopped me immediately, made me leave
my phone in the car. I'm trying to make sense of what they said. This is way beyond me. I was expecting a bunch of looters, of course, and they still had firearms, but they were civilized. There was a man and a woman among the group. They seemed to be the ones in charge. So this kind of surprised me because he was surprised. I said they were civilized, and yeah, he had his arm get broken. I understood that, But like, we haven't really seen like a full
de evolution of society represented very well. No, but if you can't really find people, wouldn't you just assume that everyone's out to get you? Yeah, but this guy's fucking naive, Like he went to these random coordinates of a dude who left him in the middle, Like left him in the middle of the fucking night at a campsite quote unquote knight. It's always night. Pop's gone. So they said they were using Danion. It gets me against
his will. That's why he discouraged me from tweeting and why he left. They said they want my help, but why not contact me directly? I asked about Danion, and they just kept repeating that he's safe, he's safe. I wouldn't trust that, m but they got firearms. You have no choice. You could have gotten away, but now you can't, he continues. They want my account, they consider it valuable for reasons they won't tell me. I said, I consider if they told me why, they wouldn't
budge. So they said that the is leaked in the wrong way, it will end I quote, ruin our chances of survival. So are we to now led to believe that these creatures are media? Okay, that doesn't make sense. Yeah, that okay. I don't like that twist unless it's someone controlling the creatures and they are monitoring very well social media. I don't know what they mean by that, but it scares the living hell out of me.
I don't even know what to do now. I finally made it to the coordinates after all this time, only to be met with more questions. I think I've known for a long time, but now it really hit me. I'm purposeless. So this took a jump from April thirtieth, twenty nineteen to May eleventh, so we had about a twenty day jump there. Yeah. So someone responds to this says, no, you're not. Just because
you have no answers doesn't mean you have no purpose. You need to keep on going and facing the obstacles you meet, and no matter what, I'm sorry, no matter how dangerous they are. He says, thank you. I'll try to remember that. It's just what the hell can I do except my account to these people that have Danyon. People have been sending me stuff. They've been seeing and hearing unusual activity from the military, from the headlights
and the ships. I'm starting to piece together what's going on. The next day, he posted another photo showed up in the Remember album. What is this, Miss Brittany. It's daytime on a snowy road. That's interesting so he's got a looks like a like a cell phone tower in the photo as well. And yet it's it's fucking daytime. For those of you asking, I don't want to reveal what for, I'm sorry. I don't want to reveal what I might know about these people, since I know they're watching every
stweet I send. In other news, my arm is getting even worse. There's the dark this dark ooze coming from the wound. Now you fuck that? No, So then he gets a text from the Danion whoever's controlling Danian's phone. Yeah, how much of the contaminated water have you consumed? Our character responds, I don't remember why I phone. Similar to mercury poisoning or lead poisoning, it does not just affect you in the short term, and
it does not just affect you neurologically. It is in your bloodstream and soon, if not already, in all of your vital organs. Okay, so he's just screwed. I mean, that's fucking terrifying. There's no way. How do you cure mercury poisoning. I don't know, can you? I have no idea. So then he retweets himself from March third twenty nineteen. I just woke up from a very surreal dream. I was back at the cell tower where I camped out for a week when Danion disappeared. Except the
dream that someone was still up in the sky that was snowing. So okay, that's the picture. So it wasn't a dream. No, it's a memory. Danian, Tucker and Nat were all there with me, at least their bodies were. So then we get this is I remember this because this is when Reddit fucking blew up, because that's the last thing that we saw from March third until November twelfth. Oh, I bet they were losing it, he says, this is us first tweet back. I'm not strong enough.
I can't help them. I can't save them. I can't save anyone, not even myself. So he's slipping into darkness. What's going on here? I've been thinking for a long time, would even make a difference if I hadn't gone after Danion? Do the choices I make even fucking matter? Why even use this account? What is the point in tweeting in the void when there's nobody left that later? On that day, it's so so quiet now, But the irony is my head isn't quiet. It's like all the
weight of the world got crammed into my brain. They won't stop whispering my head. I think the accident with my arm, I think it opened up something inside of me. So like this ooze was like stored in his membrane or something, or in his bone marrow symbia situation or we do you have a carnage? I don't. I don't know, slowly taking over like fungus. So he says, all my looked like this. I feel like I have a fever, and then in all caps, but at least I'm still
alive. Right, So he posted a picture of his arm and his veins are like extraordinised. I don't know because it's a black name. Yeah, I made it back home. Everything is just where I left it. It feels deathly still here. And they post a photo of the like powder he put in front of his doors to see if round. So he went all the way back home. How did he get there? It doesn't say so. Then someone says, what happened to the other survivors you had talked to?
They're gone. I don't know if they're alive or not, but they certainly aren't here. I haven't heard from the group that had Daniel either. So then someone says, all right, but why did you go back there? Where else am I supposed to go besides die out in the cold and the dark? Someone says, where are you now? What are you going to do next? The world has been harvested? What is there left to
do? It's over? We long lost? Whoa like? This? This is a this is what's interesting is is I'm going to break the fourth wall a bit on Reddit. So I'm trying to go back and like read around the time that the stuff breaks on Reddit. It's really hard. A lot of the like accounts have been deleted in stuff. But people are now suspecting this as a different person. Yeah, it sounds like it sounds like he
sold his account Randolph Daniel. Yeah, and they're trying to like sort this out because the only photos published up to this point were previously published or they were retweeted photos from what he had already done before, not new photos of the same places. Yeah. So then uh, this he retweets at the Lost Sun news and this is again. So now we have another pretty big
jump. This is one twenty five twenty, so we went from November twelfth to January twenty fifth, So the jumps are happening more frequently, they're just not as long. I want to say, to keep sending your experiences in DMS. Does it really matter? Now? It's the same shit, Nothing is new. When he more, the ones who are left knew how to take care of themselves, avoid threats and survive. We the ones who are left, carry on business as usual. So this is a completely different dynamic.
This is like the the dust has settled, it's all gone to shit, and we're not necessarily in the rebuild phase, but we're in the we're the surviving now phase. Yeah, it doesn't even sound like the same person, honestly. Yeah, to me, if I was gonna if I wanted to compare this to like a television show, this would probably I'd tell like the Alexandria phase of The Walking Dead where they when Rick was still alive they first got there and he was kind of going crazy, but they were just
surviving there. Really, what this is before Nigan and the show was just kind of at a standstill because there was no like Big Bad trying to kill them. That's that's where my brain goes here, so then he doesn't tweet again and tell February fifth, I miss Danyan. It would be easier to function if I just knew for certain he was alive or dead. But all I have now is a s tween. When I lie awakened in the quietness, I can hear him. It's faint and I can't tell what he's thinking
we're saying, but I know it's his voice. That's odd. So is he like he's going under schizophrenia? Yea? Is he so? And now my only friends at the mad Join at Lost Sun News are estranged. I haven't heard from Tucker and Ages. Did I fail? I couldn't save any of them. I'm just rotting here from with whatever sickness I have, and the ships just past my house daily. I'm not even worth their trouble to stop and finish me off. This is that they're being They're harvesting humans.
So the question is is because he's sick and damaged? Is that? Why? Is that why they're not trying to break in and take him out? Now? And then we have another video. I don't know if we're gonna go to hear anything, but he says no, no, No, he's gone. He's gone. He's gone, and I can't get him back. So he's like full psychotic break. At this point, it sounds like, all right, let's listen, m okay, what does that sound like to you? Is happening here? Like he's choking, choking and crying or gasping or something. Yeah. So then someone says, since you won't shut the fuck up about my hand and arm, here it is, but I cannot fathom
why that matters. Right now, I have to find Danion. So again, here we have like some spaced out words and stuff, and his hand doesn't look normal normal, It's like sunken in. It looks like all five of his fingers, like underneath the fingernails are bloody and bruised. I don't I don't like it. So then Tucker tweets. At this point, we thought Tucker maybe dead. Tucker just says, this contamination continues. It's not just repeating words and phrases. You start repeating past trauma too. So yeah,
he was going through a psychotic break. So then he said, this is not his response to Tucker. You don't have any idea what you're talking about, Tucker, shut the fuck up. So yeah, psychotic break got it? Yeah? So then Nat sends a message. This is a like a second forth to Tucker. We need to talk Nat. Holy shit, are you okay? Are you safe? What happened since you left? Sorry to disappoint you, Tucker, But it's not Nat. She is safe with
us, though, Do not worry. So they're taking everyone around this our main character. Yeah, but interesting? What the fuck? Who is this? What do you have NAT's account? As I said, she is safe with us. We have been the ones you ignored for a very long time. We contacted you and at the sun vanished multiple times, and neither of you cooperated. The message continues, We are not liars. We are the people trying to help everyone stays safe. Using Daniel and Nat as leverage or
not something we like resorting to. But it is justified. Your social media accounts have turned into a beacon for the world. When the news organizations in government broadcasts sees transmission, you became the media. Everyone have looked to you for guidance to survive. That is a very large responsibility that we the people believe neither of you are fit to have. Then we have a response. I didn't ask for that responsibility. I don't want it anymore. So fine,
you can take my account. I don't care anymore. Oh, this is a group text between the three of them. So this is the main character thing you can have as accounty. Tucker says, hold on a sec Nobody is taking anyone's fucking account. What are you trying to say? What responsibility? And then I've heard about you quote unquote people, and you have no right to take our accounts. What are you going to use them for? Anyway? It continues, this goes on for a while. We must
stop all resistance efforts against the invaders. It only hurts our chance as a future survival. Then we have a main character. I don't have the firsity of what that means. But if I do what you want, well, I see Danion again. Of course you have our word, just as we promised before. Tucker, hold on, hold on, stop it, quote unquote, stop all resistance efforts. So are you the one you quietly shut down all the military operations to take those fuckers down? Sounds as hell or
sure as hell? Sounds like you are? They say that's irrelevant right now. Okay, I'll take that as a yes. What the fuck is going on right now. I am extremely confused. I want to see now to get into But there's more at stake right now. They're trying to take advantage of your hopelessness,
our hopelessness. Then they the main character like doesn't act in the middle of the conversation. You said it hurts our chance as a future survival. What does that mean. It means that if we continue fighting against the occupiers, there's a very good chance that will go extinct TSV. You can honestly not be believing this shit. They just want control. Hell, they're probably
working with them. We hate the invaders just as much as you do, Tucker, but we aren't I even enough to believe that we can defeat them. It would just encourage them to wipe us out entirely. We know what they're capable of. So yeah, they are working with them. Yeah, then he says, I don't know what to believe. I just needed some time to think. Tucker says, why do I don't people can go fuck yourselves. I'm not giving you anything. You can try to take me as
ransom, but not her. You touch her all fucking break you. And they just said noted. And then we have a note. So I don't know why you believe me, but thank you. It's a message to the sun vanished hats Viennas wanted to say something out of you. Nat and Tucker. You're the biggest influence to everybody out there. You kept the majority of us saying in this crazy world. Whatever these guys are doing, don't believe them, and definitely don't trust them. If they really wanted to save us,
why are they using people as ransom. They're just as dangerous as the lights. Please stay safe. We need you. So we have other survivors now confirm that it's not just this group, and they're viewing our main character is like the beacon of truth. So then we have no response. Twenty six days, two years. It's been exactly two years since the day this all started. And then we have a video. This is the longest video I think we've played so far. Are you ready? Yeah, the days
I've gotten so dark, I feel it sinking deep in me. I think you know what the irony of it is? I felt it from the start. It was small, the tiniest speck of darkness on the edge of my mind. But it was there. It's always been there. Why couldn't I have done better? What stopped me from being better? I focused on the threats of the world. Did I ever stop to think about myself beyond survival? And why suld you wait for you? When I needed you? God, I relied on you. You never relied on me. I was living
