持而盈之，不如其已； 揣而銳之，不可長保。金玉滿堂，莫之能守；富貴而驕，自遺其咎。功成身退，天之道。
第九章：持而盈之，不如其已；揣而锐之，不可长保。金玉满堂，莫之能守。富贵而骄，自遗其咎。功遂身退，天之道也！
Dì jiǔ zhāng: Chí ér yíng zhī, bùrú qí yǐ; chuāi ér ruì zhī, bùkě cháng bǎo. Jīnyù mǎntáng, mò zhī néng shǒu. Fùguì ér jiāo, zì yí qí jiù. Gōng suì shēn tuì, tiān zhī dào yě!

9. Retire
Fill a cup to its brim and it is easily spilled;
Tempera sword to its hardest and it is easily broken;
Amass the greatest treasure and it is easily stolen;
Claim credit and honour and you easily fall;
Retire once your purpose is achieved - this is natural.
抓在手里冒尖儿流，自满自溢，不如罢了吧。
千锤百炼的锋芒，也长不了的。
金玉满堂，你能守多久呢？
富贵而骄，是自取灾祸啊！
大功成了，名份有了，自己便隐去，这正是上天之道。
抓在手裡冒尖兒流，自滿自溢，不如罷了吧。
千錘百鍊的鋒芒，也長不了的。
金玉滿堂，你能守多久呢？
富貴而驕，是自取災禍啊！
大功成了，名份有了，自己便隱去，這正是上天之道。
