Episode description

Welcome to Tackle Talk Men's Health! In today's special episode, we're marking September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month by diving into one of the most important conversations for men's health.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with over 26,000 new cases every year. It's also the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths, tragically claiming over 3,000 lives annually.

To help us explore this topic, we’re joined by two incredible guests. First, we have Mark, a prostate cancer survivor who underwent surgery and has a powerful story to share about his journey through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. We'll also hear from Lisa, a dedicated prostate cancer support nurse, who works on the frontlines of patient care, offering education, counseling, and emotional support to men going through their own prostate cancer experience.

Together, we’ll discuss what it’s like to face a prostate cancer diagnosis, the importance of early detection, and what support is available for men and their families during such a challenging time. This is an episode you don’t want to miss. Stay tuned!
