Episode description

Get yourself comfortable, it’s time for this week’s Table Conversation! With me at the table today is my friend Gemma. This past week in the UK it has been Baby Loss Awareness week, Gemma joins me to share her story of miscarriage. Gemma bravely and openly talks about her three losses and how women in the UK must have had three miscarriages in a row before it is considered a medical issue. This can often lead women, lead couples to feel like they are overreacting or that their loss is discounted. Gemma is breaking her silence about the mental health impact of her losses – with the aim to help others to open up to. Miscarriage is often seen as an uncomfortable topic, but we must start talking about it, today Gemma and I do!
