Well, you know, on our final 2024 broadcast, I shared that this May 2025 T Time will be celebrating five years Yes, it has been so amazing to see how the Lord has taken the seed of a podcast and grown it for five straight years. And as we go into this year, I want to let you know that we have a focus theme for the year. If you are a part of Converge, which of course is a movement of churches committed to helping people meet.
know and follow Jesus, you may be aware that the current vision of the president of Converge, John Jenkins Sr., is to build and rebuild a culture of evangelism. And evangelism, in its simplest terms, is basically sharing Jesus with people who do not know him. This is where a T Time will land in this coming year, and I'm so looking forward to it.
See, in an ever changing world marked by, technological advances, cultural shifts, global challenges, the message of hope and love remains a constant need. Christian Evangelism, which is just the act of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is a cornerstone of the Christian faith, and it holds significant, importance both historically and in contemporary society. The relevance of evangelism today is perhaps more crucial than ever as it addresses the spiritual.
the moral and the social needs of individuals and communities worldwide. You know, as we are all aware, the world today faces numerous challenges, pandemics, conflicts, economic disparities, and a pervasive sense of uncertainty. And in times like these, the message of the gospel provides. unwavering hope. It speaks to the human condition and addressing issues of purpose and identity and, and destiny.
See, evangelism introduces individuals to the transformative power of faith, which can lead to personal healing, and societal restoration. Throughout history, Christian evangelism has been a catalyst, if you will, for social change and humanitarian efforts. Many hospitals and schools and even charitable organizations have Christian roots established to meet not only physical, but also spiritual needs.
And evangelism motivates believers to serve others selflessly, to fight against injustices and to advocate for the marginalized and the oppressed. The gospel also provides answers rooted in the belief of a loving creator who offers redemption and, of course, eternal life. Evangelism invites individuals to explore these answers, providing comfort and assurance in the face of life's uncertainties.
I'm often drawn to the testimonies that abound of lives transformed through, those encountering the message of Jesus Christ, such as people grappling with addiction or hopelessness or a sense of emptiness who, who often find renewal and purpose through faith. Evangelism facilitates these personal journeys, pointing individuals towards a path of healing and a path of growth. So I'm looking forward to, to you coming alongside me this year as I talk of dynamic guests around the topic of evangelism.
And by sharing the gospel, we participate in spreading a message that has the power to transform lives, to heal communities and to instill hope amidst despair. In a fragmented world, yearning for connection and, and meaning evangelism offers a pathway to discover a love that surpasses understanding and a purpose that endures beyond temporal circumstances. It calls individuals to not only experience personal redemption, but also to contribute positively to the world around them.
So I'm looking forward to 2025 and the journey ahead. I hope you are too. Let's pray. Lord, teach us to build and rebuild a culture of evangelism. As society continues to navigate complexities and challenges, the role of Christian evangelism remains vital. It's a beacon of light guiding hearts towards truth and fostering a global community bound by faith and hope and love. So direct us in this journey and order our steps. We so look forward to partnering with you.
