Episode description

Writers Audrey Szasz and Thomas Moore have both just released new novels for Philip Best's Amphetamine Sulphate. Audrey's novel is called Counterillumination, a wildly psychedelic collection of prose where agents and counter-agents wage psychological warfare upon one another against an abstract dystopic landscape. It's rather hard to describe so I suggest you just read it. Thomas's new book is Your Dreams – perhaps the author's best exploration of the human need for connection and understanding with a protagonist forced to come to terms with a friend's disturbing desires.

The three of us discuss those new books, as well as writing on drugs, Arnold Schwarzenegger, chatGPT and artificial intelligence, pornographic intake, the pornification of culture, and much more.
