Episode description

June 17th, 1994 is remembered as one of the wildest days in recent American history. Arnold Palmer played his final round of golf at the 1994 U.S. Open. The 1994 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, got underway with opening ceremony appearances from President Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. The New York Rangers celebrated their 1994 Stanley Cup Finals victory with a ticker tape parade. Ken Griffey Jr. tied Babe Ruth for most home runs before June 30th. The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets squared off for a pivotal Game 5 of the 1994 NBA Finals.

And O.J. Simpson, charged with double homicide, ran from police, only to be tracked down by a news helicopter, which broadcast the chase live on TV for over 95 million viewers.
