¶ Wednesday Wrap Up with Wanda
Welcome to Swing that I am Martin Lindeskog and this is Wednesday Wrap up with Wanda by Wondercraft and I'm catching up a bit and getting back on track is to do it every day will be a challenge and I will find a flow. As I said before, probably the best thing will be start in the morning doing a short and sweet episode what I've been dreaming about the day before and so on.
Now I'm doing it at different times so now it's end of day in the evening and I will try to get it out before the night is over. So I had this I hope it will be you are having a great time at the podcast movement. I look forward to attend the conference in the future. So and also after the conference I will look forward to listen to the talk with for example Adam Curry and Rocky Thomas about podcasting 2.0 and the value for value model and other things that will be interesting.
And thanks Rob for recording it with no mono and talk more about that in future. And also it was nice to see you selfie there Todd Cochran with Adam Curry and I will follow along with the podcast movement there with the hashtag and I'm interesting to see the interaction where and
also input for the future. It was a big news there regarding a merger or acquisition or joining forces with this sounds profitable is the name of it and event movement event practise where happened and also regarding this statement about audio and talks to have it for free so to speak after the
fact after conference. It's the thing to be at an event. That's the thing the water cooler conversations in the hallway at the so called coffee break or for me the tea break and before and after sessions and of course the parties and other things. So I want to then as I said catch up a little bit and I have an advice there for other content creators to take once per day if you could do it and then you could have some
kind of theme. So Wednesday could be wrapped up like with tacos or tortilla bread and then you could in German it's Mitwosch. It's the middle of the week. So Wednesday what have happened so far and what are your plans for end of the week? So and it's also in Swedish they joke about it that they sometimes call Wednesday the small little Saturday for the parties and so on. So I I've been
¶ How to create a podcast with AI
at some interesting conference calls and also zoom calls and webinars and phone conversations here today and I will do this now that I saw on pod news podcast podnews.net and James Gridland he talked about a service called by Wondercraft called Wanda and you could join their waiting list for the video feature. And I'm thinking of playing around with the audio there how to create by AI audio
content. And James Gridland had done one writing a short prompt saying about the event in Dallas and that it should include not about the podcast movement but what as a tourist, what do you want to see and do when you're coming to Dallas? And then he said one specific thing. It should include beer. And then you also talk about microbrewers and beer brands and food of course and other things. And it was then it should be humorous also. And then it is an AI voice taking this and running with it.
How much funny, how much fun or funny witty this voice is? That's up to you to decide. I like the British humour that James has with so called dry funny, witty British humour. I like similar to, you know, these crazy Faulty towers or John Cleese and Absolute Fabulous and and whatnot. But also others like what's his name now Mr. Bean and Rowan Atkinson meets different characters out there. So it was a bit over top funny and then you could see it. It is good voice and if you're really
fine tuning you could get into it. But it is with this pauses that I'm doing right now. And of course you have your ticks and other things noise sounds that you don't hear by AI but it's pretty convincing in a way. But it's the over the top adding some words, trying to be funny in a way. Is it natural or is it robotic? But it's really interesting development to follow. So what could I
do? How could I use it in this podcast? Yeah, maybe some four wrap ups for some summaries for things when it's I so called getting out of ideas and whatnot and play around with it. How could you use it? I think it's important then of course that you label it as AI generated content with the voice. But as I said with this production it's already AI generated titles and summaries and then the chapters of course and other things. And I now use this AI summaries and
the subject titles now and then. But I could feel that I want to add my personal voice but I want to test this out because it's great support. It could be easy to get when you don't come up with great text. But again it's generated and you want to have a
personal style. But I use this because yeah, maybe you as a listener click on it and start listening and then you hear me and my voice and hopefully like that and my style and then because I I'm a pundit blogger so I write very short to the to effect give me effects ma' am and sometimes I could write longer also sometimes I could talk for a long time as you have heard especially in conversations when you have a conversation with somebody but this AI generated could
be for shorter episodes and summaries and help in different ways so I will explore this when I'm on this waiting list and test it out and see how could I use it in a podcast and how could I give that piece of advice to somebody else wanted to start a podcast. I think the main thing is it's your voice your message your style but AI could help you in many ways so it will be interesting to follow his development so with that I say cheerio bye for now and talk to you soon again Sam.
