Due to a curse from Ritdhwaj muni, Bhagwaan Vishwakarma had to be born as a monkey. When He asked the rishi, how he can liberate himself from this curse the sage told him to produce a son through apsara Ghritachi.
The son born to Bhagwaan Vishwakarma and Apsara Ghritachi was none other than Nala, under whose supervision construction of ShriRam Setu happened.
