Episode description

In this week's episode of Sustainably Influenced, we are discussing Fatbergs and Thames Water's new campaign "Bin It Don't Block It"

Do you really know what you can and can't flush down the loo? Thames Water clear around 75,000 blockages from our sewers each year. Many of these are caused by items like wet wipes, sanitary items and cotton pads that can't break down...listen as Charlotte tests Bianca's knowledge on things you can and can't flush!

Items you shouldn't be flushing:

  • Baby Wipes. This is important
  • Q-Tips, Cotton Pads or Other Cotton Products
  • Menstrual Products
  • Condoms
  • Nappies
  • Dental Floss
  • Medication
