A 49-year-old woman from Springvale was found dead on Eastern Beach near the Children's Pool in Geelong. Police homicide squad arrested a 53-year-old man who was located nearby in the CBD after CCTV footage helped track his movements. Evidence including a shopping trolley and suitcases were found at the scene where lifesavers attempted resuscitation.
