A Queensland government review found that convicted pedophile Ashley Paul Griffith, who abused 65 children over two decades, could have been stopped on five separate occasions if the state had implemented a reportable conduct scheme. Queensland remains the only Australian state or territory without this legal framework that requires organisations to report and investigate allegations of child abuse.
