Episode description

Severe flooding warnings are in effect across Queensland, with the northwest region expecting up to 500 millimetres of rain over three to five days in areas west of Richmond, Mount Isa, and Julia Creek. The tropical north, including Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, and Cooktown, faces 50 to 150 millimetres of localised heavy rainfall expected mid next week. SES centres are preparing for potential flooding in already sodden regions like Ingham, which experienced flooding less than a year ago.
