Episode description

Aussie Ark wildlife sanctuary is hand-raising endangered Tasmanian devil joeys and other threatened Australian species as part of their conservation breeding programme. Two eight-month-old devil joeys, Newey and Rumble, were rescued in May after being separated from their mother during severe storms that brought 520 millimetres of rain over three days. The charity operates a 400-hectare sanctuary where captive-bred animals are released to help rebuild healthy ecosystems and return threatened species to the wild.
