Episode description
Mount Isa has recorded its wettest February since records began in 1926, with more than 319 millimetres of rainfall causing flash flooding and road closures. The Queensland town is now bracing for two additional cyclones while serving as a crucial supply hub for surrounding areas like Burke, Carpentaria and Boulia, which have been cut off since Christmas. Emergency services are coordinating relief efforts and transport of supplies by plane and barge to isolated communities.
