Episode description

TW: This episode contains content about depression, mental health, and suicide.

October is National Depression and Educational awareness month. What better way to close out the month than by reminding people they are not alone. My roommate, Taylor - has been very open about her mental health and her struggle with depression. She wants you to know you're not alone, your feelings are valid, and you are loved.

Depression affects 322 million people around the world, and in the US, over 15 million adults experience depression each year. Additionally, many cases of depression go unreported. If you're suffering from depression, please know treatment is available. You do not have to experience depression for the rest of your life. If you or a loved one has suicidal thoughts, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline anytime at 1 (800) 273-8255 to speak with a trained professional.
