Haven't we all had enough experiences in the dark to know that we don't want another one? Psalm 119:105 says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path," this light illuminates our direction and our choices. Jesus refers to himself as the light in John 8:12 when he says, "I am the light of the world," and this light illuminates our soul and changes every part of how we live our lives.
