Episode description

The 2014 Sydney Siege saw lone gunman Man Haron Monis take 18 people hostage inside the Lindt Chocolate Cafe, in Martin Place, Sydney CBD. Monis insisted he had a bomb in his backpack, and declared this incident an attack by the Islamic State. But these points would come under question as the siege unfolded.

Join Shaun and Chloe as they deep dive into the details of the siege, the stories of the hostages, the background of Man Haron Monis, the police response, and finally, the culmination of the harrowing ordeal that ultimately led to the loss of 3 lives.
