Episode description

October marks the month of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A global campaign to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Recently I attended an afternoon tea charity event for Sakoon Through Cancer. The event had a guest speak the lovely Dr.Nighat Arif, who is a GP and talked about how important Women's Health is especially when it comes to South Asian and Black women. I speak to the Founder Samina Hussain about her journey and why she started her charity. If you have anyone who is going through Breast Cancer, a relative or friend do share this episode with them and reach out to Sakoon through Cancer for support. A community that truly cares and is trying to normalise the conversations around Breast Cancer with South Asian women. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy journey, Ameen. Big Love Maryum You can contact Samina Hussain through the website :- www.sakoonthroughcancer.org
