Rob Dellinger, M.S., CCC-SLP of the Wake County Public Schools in Raleigh, NC is back for a special episode for our school-based segment focused on goal writing. Listen to Rob continue his discussion related to challenges school-based therapists face, and offer suggestions for how we can expand our viewpoint and provide more comprehensive therapy to children who stutter in the schools.
Rob shares how important a comprehensive assessment is for laying the foundation for goals that fit the child. He emphasizes how goals should go far beyond fluency measurement/ strategies and offers a measurable framework for conceptualizing goals for overall communicative effectiveness, participation, and quality of life impact.
