Genesis: The Blessings of Obeying God's Commandments - Genesis 26:1-14

In a Nutshell, there are blessings associated with obeying the Commandments of God.  There are consequences for disobedience. 

Isaac went into the land of Abimelech, king of the Philistines, during the time of the famine and contemplated going down to Egypt to escape the famine, but YeHoVaH appeared to him and told him not to go. 

When Father tells us to do something or not to do something, that is a Commandment.  When we obey the Commandment Father gives us, we can expect the outcome Father has associated with that Commandment.  When we disobey the Command Father gives us, we will face the consequences that Father was trying to protect us from.
