163. Imaginary Lovers: Stalking Jerry
Episode description
Jerry was stalked by a woman he met during an acting class. They were casual friends, but the woman started texting him non-stop and showing up at events where his band was playing. He cut ties with her because she made him uncomfortable, but she was aggressive, impatient, and angry when he didn't respond to her texts. After thousands of texts, calls, letters, and voicemails, Jerry quit attending the acting class and isolated himself to avoid her. While Jerry barely knows his stalker, according to her texts, she believes they are in a relationship. Jerry got a temporary restraining order, but it hasn't stopped her from contacting him. She recently posted on social media that he has been sexually abusing and manipulating her, although he has had no contact with her for years.
