Well, let’s talk about what it doesn’t mean first. A balanced life does not mean that we can use accounting principles or mathematics to determine whether we are living in equilibrium. Time is not the only value we should consider. Our skewed ideas of perfection also do not create or define life balance.
Life balance is as individualized as we each are. The definition, measure and outcome are uniquely our own and requires personal introspection. To create and live in a balanced way, we each must review and consider what it means and how to reach it.
