Whether you are at work, trying to perform at a high level, or driving a vehicle, being tired is physically similar to being drunk on alcohol. It can open the door to making costly mistakes and oversights.

I remember writing a check late one night to pay my rent; I was tired and added it to my checkbook register instead of subtracting it. This poor decision caused me to bounce a check for the first and only time. From that point on, I never make important decisions when I am tired.

If you feel tired, it is because your body is telling you that it needs rest.

If you can, you will be amazed how even a quick 15-minute catnap can recharge your batteries, making you feel ready to go. So, instead of stressing on being tired and sluggish or reaching for an unhealthy energy boost, give your body what it needs. Rest. So if you feel like crap, then take a nap.
