Hello Dirtlings! Today Ellsworth is going to blow Big Spoon's mind with The Beecher Paper. Back in 1966, Henry Beecher, an American Anesthesiologist, outed some horrific unethical medical studies that were targeted towards minorities, the disabled, children and infants (apologies in advance) in an unassuming article titled Ethics and Clinical Research. Our sidebars touch on the Tuskegee Experiment, lethal injection, outrageous laws about women in comas giving birth and those damned Spider Goats in Upstate New York. Become enlightened and satiate your curiosity with hosts Ellsworth and Big Spoon as we dive into our first episode about the Dark History of Medicine.

And remember Dirtlings: always die before your unethical reports are declassified.
