S3E1: Cold and Calculated

Miriam Illes is found dead in her home, and oversized shoe prints in the deep snow lead Pennsylvania State Police to think they’re dealing with a crack shooter. When Miriam’s troubled marriage is revealed to investigators they reevaluate her former husband, heart surgeon Dr. Richard Illes, who explains that the night of the murder he had been driving carefully south on icy roads. An assessment of the weather conditions casts doubt on his albi, revealing a gap in his drive times, and then a spring thaw finally gives investigators the missing piece.
