If you are thinking about stopping drinking alcohol , there is one thing that you will need to do before doing it to ensure long-term success . If you just want to stop drinking alcohol and struggle and maybe only go two weeks or whatever , this video probably isn't for you .
But if you want to stop drinking alcohol , you want to make the decision permanent , but , most importantly , you want to remove the desire to actually drink in the first place , then this video could change your life forever . So what is stopping drinking ? What are you actually doing ?
Well , you're not doing this , but before you actually do that , you have to make a decision . You need to decide to do it , and this is a very significant decision . It isn't a small one . You're making a lifestyle change and you're basically telling yourself that you're removing something that has been in your life for a long time .
You might have certain relationships that you've built with that drug . You might be a bit afraid of what's going to happen once you've done it . How are you going to deal with life ? And the most important thing you need to do before making this decision is analyze things .
So today I'm going to help you analyze the decision to remove alcohol from your life and then , once we've analyzed it , I can actually help you make the decision . So whenever we're making any kind of decision , there are always trade-offs , because no matter what it is that we decide to do , there's always something else that we could be doing with our time .
So there are always trade-offs and essentially , a trade-off is getting one benefit at the sacrifice of a different benefit . And when we're making decisions , there are always compromises . Now , the problem is that most people think that stopping drinking requires a tremendous amount of effort , willpower , and it's difficult .
And we build up this idea that , because stopping drinking is going to be such a hard effort , we build it up that the trade-off is that we are trading off our peace of mind for not drinking this drug . Another argument could be is that we're a little bit afraid of any kind of withdrawal .
If we stop drinking alcohol , then we're going to feel flu-like symptoms , we're going to feel lethargic , and when it comes to making high quality decisions .
What we're looking for is asymmetrical advantages , so what this means is that we're looking for things that have a very small input that can create very big outputs , as opposed to things that have a very large input but then would only get a very small output . Here's the problem . Most people believe that stopping drinking has no asymmetrical advantage .
They , in their head , believe that there will be a tremendous amount of input , which is the effort and the output is going to be okay , and because they see it this way , people struggle to make the decision . But what if I told you that most of the population have it wrong ?
See , I told you that there were trade-offs to stopping drinking , but those trade-offs are so minute , they are so small . You literally trade a few days of discomfort when you're getting sober , and that's it . The output you then get is I mean , it's insane . You become more attractive , you make more money , you're more productive , you're more confident .
I mean , you get so much from not drinking . The problem is , though , is that we live in a world that doesn't see it this way , so what happens is people put off the decision , and the only thing that is actually creating that gap where people think there's a tremendous input to stopping drinking is fear . It's all in their head .
The input required to not drink alcohol if you use first principles thinking which is what I teach on this channel , it's what I do in my coaching program the input might be a couple of weeks . You might have to study . You might have to read some books , get some courses , do a lot of introspection , but it might take you a couple of weeks to do this .
But think about it like this a two-week effort for the next 50 years of your life . What could you do for two weeks ? That has a bigger output than that . See , the input required to stop drinking alcohol is tiny and the trade-offs they're so insignificant for what you get out of it .
And if you're somebody that values your time and you're thinking of stopping drinking alcohol , I want to promise you something the time , the effort , the resources that you put into making that decision will pay off more than probably anything that you could do , unless you make some amazing investment decision and 100x your money .
Okay , maybe that might have a bigger impact on your life , but that's kind of outside of your control . This is something that is within your control , that you can do immediately Now . If you want help analysing the decision , going deeper , using first principles thinking , then just go over to SoberClearcom .
