¶ Bradley Cooper's Sobriety Journey
wwwsoberclearcom .
Stop drinking Very difficult , no , beautiful , unbelievable , better . Bradley Cooper is a shining example of what can happen in somebody's life when they stop able to take care of my father the way I did when he was sick . So many things .
Bradley Cooper is a shining example of what can happen in somebody's life when they stop drinking , and he's not afraid to talk about it . That's the great thing . I'm sure there are many other famous people out there that stop drinking alcohol , but they never tell anybody about it . But this guy just doesn't care .
So he stopped drinking when he was 29 years of age , I believe . I just Googled it and he's now been sober for 21 years , it looks like . But in that short video that you just saw , he actually brings up eight very , very , very important topics that you probably overlooked .
So what we're going to do is we're going to dive into each of these eight things that he discusses , and I'm going to show you why he is so on the money here .
And if you're in a place right now where you're trying to stop drinking alcohol , you're in a place right now where you're trying to stop drinking alcohol , you're thinking of your relationship with alcohol or anything like that , then you are going to get a tremendous amount of value from this .
Stop drinking . Very difficult , no
¶ Why Stopping Drinking Can Be Easy
, beautiful , unbelievable .
So the first thing that he says which most people don't say is that he said that stopping drinking was easy beautiful , in fact . And it's quite rare that people actually say this . Most people say stopping drinking , you know , is so hard , it's so difficult . I've got to fight these cravings and I've got to say no to this friend and that friend .
But he calls it easy , and it's exactly how I feel as well If we've not met yet . My name's Leon Sylvester . I run this YouTube channel . I also run a coaching company called SoberClear and I help people stop drinking .
I haven't drank myself for seven years , after a decade of struggling and stopping and starting , and I also stopped drinking in my 20s , like Bradley Cooper did , and again my life took off like a rocket ship . But I always say that it's easy to stop .
And one of my long-term clients , david , who's now not drank for four years , he said when I first heard you say that I thought you must be drinking something . He always makes me laugh when he tells me that . But he didn't believe me that it could be possible .
But there you go , another person saying that it can be easy to stop Because there's nothing hard about not drinking If you get your mindset right , if you reframe the way that you view alcohol . If you can start seeing alcohol for what it is , as this poisonous , highly addictive substance that does absolutely nothing for you , of course it's easy to stop .
It's the easiest thing you'll ever do in your life
¶ Accessing Your True Self Without Alcohol
Better .
Are you kidding life ?
The next thing he gets asked is better . And he says I wouldn't be sat here with you . And do you know what ? If I hadn't stopped drinking alcohol , I wouldn't be sat here with you either . There'd be no way , Because all I'd be doing is thinking about myself and my drinking .
I wouldn't be thinking about how can I go and create value in the world , how can I go and make videos that help people . No , I'm putting myself first , and I think he's touching on this point as well . I think what he's really saying is he would never reach that peak in his career if he hadn't stopped drinking . And he truly reached the peak of acting .
I mean , he's one of the most successful actors ever . I'm sure his net worth is sky high . And he just reached the top of the top . And that's what he's saying . He would never have done that if he drank . But then he starts to kind of break down the layers of why . Why did he reach the top ?
Because I wouldn't have been able to have access to myself or other people .
And here he breaks down four key points .
The first thing that he says is that if he hadn't stopped drinking alcohol , he wouldn't have had access to himself . So what does he mean by this ? Well , I know exactly what he means , because I've experienced it as well .
See , when you stop drinking alcohol , you find a version of you that you didn't even know existed , because when you drink , you're cloudy , right , there's no clarity , there's no real sense of identity , and it's a really strange feeling . But when you drink , you don't even notice that . That's what's happening , because it's this fog that's just always there .
So you just think it's totally normal . But then , when you stop drinking alcohol , you get this access to this version of you that you didn't know existed . You're happier , you've got more clarity , you're more productive , you're nicer to be around , and this is what he's talking about Now .
He didn't really go deep into what he meant by that , but I know exactly what he meant . I have a client who stopped drinking alcohol after 40 years of drinking and he said his wife started calling him Kevin 2.0 . I love that , and what he said was almost like he felt like a teenager again , even though he was like a 60-year-old retired dude .
But he felt like this version of him came back out and that's what Bradley's referring to . The real him started to shine . Not the alcohol version of him , not the one that's clouded
¶ Relationship Benefits of Sobriety
, kind of hungover , a little bit tipsy no , the real him shined , and that real him just went on to dominate his career . The second thing he starts talking about is that he wouldn't have had access to other people .
Now it's tough to really understand what he truly means by this , but I have a pretty good idea , see , because he became somebody of so much value . Is that then doors started opening , right ? Maybe I don't know , I don't know his exact career path , right ? Maybe somebody in the comment section can tell me more .
But what probably happened is he stopped drinking alcohol and then maybe he made some really awesome movie because he wasn't drinking . And then all of a sudden people start noticing and then things start snowballing , and then more people want him , more people want him .
He's getting offers for this movie , that movie , this thing , that thing , and all of a sudden he's got access to this , all of these people that just want him . And I don't know for sure that that's what he's talking about . But I'm pretty sure that that's what he means , because even in my own life since stopping drinking alcohol .
The network that I've built is totally different than what it was , but it's all because I became somebody of more value Not to say that as like a , you know in an arrogant than when I was drinking . I've built a company that helps people . I've built this YouTube channel , one of the largest resources on the internet for helping people stop drinking for free .
So when I meet people and they see this , they're like that's cool , which means that I do get access to people that I didn't have access to before .
Or even been able to take in other people if I hadn't changed my life .
No way and I never would have been able to have relationships that I do , but then he goes a bit deeper and then he says that actually he wouldn't be able to take in other people , and what he's talking about here is being able to build that deep relationship with somebody else , and I know exactly what he means .
So I've been in a relationship with my fiance we're about to get married for six years . I never had a relationship for six years when I was drinking because , like he said , I couldn't take in other people . But since stopping drinking I've been able to have a very grounded relationship with one woman .
I have people that I work with , I have freelancers , I have employees . I have people that I've worked together with for five to six years and I'm telling you , if I was drinking , they would not be sticking around working for me , they'd be going to work for somebody else .
And he really just boils it down to how his relationships have just been so much better .
I never would have been able to take care of my father the way I did when he was sick , and then he goes to a totally different level .
He starts talking about when his father was sick . See , there's so much crammed into that 20 seconds at the beginning of the video that probably just went straight over your head and that's why I wanted to make this video to just go another level deeper .
But he said he was able to take care of his father , and I know exactly what he means here , because when you don't drink , you're no longer this selfish person that's thinking about themselves . You know , I've heard people that I've worked with say you know , I'm now able to go and pick up my kids from the baseball game .
I've worked with people again that have looked after sick parents , and this is what he's saying is he's able to be somebody who's there for others , who's there for people that he loves , and that's what I wanted to end this video on . I wanted to let you know this super , super critical point
¶ The Ripple Effect of Sobriety
when you stop drinking alcohol , it's got nothing to do with you . Sure , you're going to feel better , sure , you're going to change your life , sure , all those good things will happen . But you know who gets the most impact ? It's the people who look up to you . It's your family , it's your children , it's your spouse , it's your friends right .
These are the people who get impacted by your decision to . Not Not only do you set a better example to them by not drinking in the first place , but you become somebody that's more accessible to them , emotionally accessible to them , somebody that's more present and grounded , and Bradley Cooper just hits on these points so perfectly .
