Markets moving lowers.

Speaker 1

Charlie was just reporting, let's take a look at some of the stock movers on the day. We can do that with Natalia Keny Javis from Bloomberg News.

Speaker 2

Natalie, what are you looking at? Before I started, I also want to say something about ski. I was in Killington last this weekend like this. It was really good. I know, I know, I wanted to go to Colorado because I bought an icon pass and I was so upset because I can't use it because there is no snow in Deer Valley, no snow in Colorado. But I don't know, maybe people that.

Speaker 1

Were really searching for snow Japan.

Speaker 2

That's really and you have a strong dollar on top of that.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

So I went back to stocks. First of all, of course energy, I'm looking at Occidental Petroleum. The ticket is o x Y. Shares are by two point three percent. JP Morgan upgraded the stock to neutral from underweight. Price target is now it's sixty three versus twenty nine before. So what the book case here is because Occidental has eighty five percent of its upstream production here in the United States, it will benefit of course from higher energy

prices and increase cash flow as a result. However, the company does have one facility in the UAE, and according to JP Morgan, that facilities suffered the physical damage in the Iranian attack in mid March. Production is now holded and they assume analysts assume that facility will be offline through the middle of twenty twenty six second quarter of twenty twenty six. Of course, analysts have said that if Acas fire was reached, of course energy prices would decline.

All right, let's talk about chemicals companies, which of course are very closely tied to where oil prices trade. You're looking at one of them, yes, it is also one of the biggest stories that we are tracking. One of them is Mosaic. The tickets MS shares are down by six percent, dropped to the lowest level since December. Bank of America cut recommendation to the federalizer company to neutral

from buy. So Mosaic is one of the largest producers of PHOSPHATEE if I'm saying this correctly, and potash which I used for crop nutrition, and now analysts are a little bit concerned. So on the one hand, these stocks arising because increase the text Titans supply, but analysts are saying this conflict in the run is inflationary for raw material, so some of those companies will suffer eventually.

Speaker 1

Super Micro, what's going on there?

Speaker 2

Yes, a big story, guys. The stock is down by almost twenty eight percent. The US charged the super Michael co founder and two other people from company that they illegally diverted billions of dollars in servers that were assembled here in the United States and they contain in Vidia's cutting edge chips, and those servers were sold to China as a result, that is a violation of US export controls. Analysts are saying that raises reputational risk for the company.

There is a risk of share loss to Dell, a competitor, and Raymond James. Analysts are also saying that super Micro might best subject for greatest scrutiny and may face higher costs and delays in operations.
