The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg Data.
Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. I'm Nathan Hager, joined by Bloomberg's Valerie Titel.
On a rally Monday.
Valerie, and I have to think Nvidia is participating in that good morning it is.
Nvidia is leading the gains of MAG seven stocks in the pre market, up three and a quarter percent. The dip is being bought in tech stocks. Navidia is the big gainer in that way. The stock did drop over four percent nearly five percent in Friday sessions, so still around a percentage to be made up. But Nvidia leading the gains for the Mac seven out of the gates this morning.
And following the I guess truce. I would guess you could call it between the US and China at least the dialing down of tensions. How are rare earth miners doing this morning?
They are on a front foot. Let me tell you, USA rare Earth up twenty two percent, Critical Medals up twenty one percent, and MP Materials up eleven percent. Now, this is on the back of the ft reporting that the Pentagon has stepped up stockpiling of critical minerals, procuring up to one billion dollars worth of counter China's dominance
and rare earths that are essential to defense. It follows the export restrictions imposed on many of the materials by China last week, and perhaps the market assuming the US could be turned more aggressive when it comes to its equity stakes in these companies if China does not row back these export controls.
And just quickly sday Lauder's getting an upgrade.
Upgrade for SDA Louder upgraded by Goldman Sachs. It's up four point eight percent. Let me add another one to that less stub Hub also up up four point eight percent. It has been initiated coverage by many on Wall Street, Evercore, JP, Morgan, Goldman, BMO, and Citizens all initiating bullish calls.
