Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg Data.
Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today.
I'm Nathan Hager, joined by Bloomberg's Critty Gupta kicking things off, so to speak with Nike after earnings.
Good morning Critty, Good morning Nathan, Bravo on the pun Nike shares are really flying off the charts here. Nke is your taker training about seventy two dollars a share and change hire a boy about four percent in the pre market. Now, there's a couple of things to know about Nike. We know this is of course a massive sportswear company, but it's also at Bellweather. When it comes to international exposure, we don't Nike has a big chunk of their sales that come from China and other parts
of the world. So when we talk about tariffs, this is one of the companies that we watch for impact. They came out in the earnings yesterday not only bleue the market away with some very strong earnings, some very strong turnarounds, but also revised their tariff kind of hit impact estimate upwards to the tune about one and a half billion dollars. They'd previously said a one billion dollar
hit on their bottom line. Nevertheless, the market is rallying looking through that additional tariff impact and really putting faith and putting stock in some of those turnaround plans and the sustainability around it as well. Off Tobaco's earnings, a series of price target upgrades, and I think this one's really crucial here because the straight high please, according to Bloomberg consensus is about one hundred and twenty dollars a share.
We're about seventy two right now, and you are getting a series of basically stamp of approvals I think from across Wall Street, including over at Piper Sandler among others. They're increasing their price target from about eighty to eighty four, so I should had JP Morgan as while also moving
their price target from ninety three to one hundred. So again a big round of applause virtual in spirit for Nike shares, those shares moving higher by about four percent, thinking of shares that are rallying, bit of doomsday out there, So I'm giving you the upside movers if I can Nathan. Occidental is getting the buffet bid O XYZ, your ticker Hire by one point four percent this morning, training just
thy of forty eight dollars a share. This is coming after the long rumored deal between Occidental and Berkshire Hathaway for Occidental's petrochemical unit for around the tune about ten billion dollars, the unit called Oxycam. We should just put this into context here because Berkshire Hathaway has been intertwined
with Occidental story for a very long time. When Occental did various acquisitions in the permium basin, it was said that Berkshire Hathaway not only helped Vicky Hollub, who was the CEO at the time of Occidental, but helped navigate and broker some of those deals. So the fact that he again is in the news with Occidental is a crucial one. Those shares higher by about one point four percent this morning. We talk about the farmer rally that
is going global. It's not your biggest upside movers, but you are seeing heavy volume when it comes to likes A five for example, PFE is your ticker Hire zero point four percent. This is trading. I'm not actually twenty six dollars a share. This is a follow on to the news from yesterday when it comes to Pfeiser approaching a deal with the Trump administration. The catchup trade globally, You've seen in Asia, You've seen in Europe, anything to
do with pharmaceutical is rising. I think Pfizer probably catching a second wind when it comes to the trade this morning. Pfe is your ticker, hired by about four tenths of one percent, trading at about twenty six dollars a share. Nathan, in my last twenty seconds, I'll quickly mentioned that tech
stocks are undervalued. You are seeing a lot of the heavy tech valuations getting questioned this morning, alongside law of the defense names, so in Vidia for example, Intel, Tesla, all the ones that I have so juicy valuations are taking a little bit of a hit on the first day of the month, the first day of the quarter.
