Like I'm a Raider fan like die Hard, but I feel like a lot of Raider fans or cheap. I mean, I'm cheap too, but I like they expect the Oakland prices over here in Vegas, but it's like it's not the same. Well, as soon as I seen the cowboy one pop up I was like. Bro it's gonna be thank God huh? Oh yeah, Cowboy fan right here. Well, that's gotta be a thing though. But like you two, I am. That's gotta be. The most you two? Yeah, and but but. Why are you even gonna go to the
Cowboys game? No, because that because suck. For 20 fucking years we sucked girl. But on top of that, how that's gotta be the most valuable ticket as a Raiders fan that owns a season ticket is right now Cowboys ticket every. I know that, but like I'm a Cowboys fan, but it's like, isn't it like a, it's like a interval of 10 years. At least we get decently good.
Yeah, we, we've had, we've, we've had decent years, Like the year that Dez caught it, that was, we would have, I believe had a good shot of going to the Super Bowl and competing. I just stopped watching it because we're bad honestly. But my daughter, I put I took my daughter to last year, the Jaguars and Raiders because nobody bought the ticket.
Oh yeah. That's and then she no, but but no, we won the Raiders won right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, but the environment of like her getting to high 5 the people around us and stuff she's like, dad, you should keep all the games if you come to all the games I see no, no, no, This is. I'm not here for a fuck yeah, yeah. We're selling the ticket, we're selling. We're not Raiders. Yeah, but then she's like, I don't know if she likes the Raiders, though, so. She might. She might be like.
She. Really like the Raiders though. It's a hell, it's a big team. It's your home team. It's easy to root for them out here. But even like now, like, like I said, I'm I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'm a like that's my secondary team, though. You know what? I. Mean the Raiders, Yeah. It kind of has to be though, yeah. There's a home team, but now I gotta go for the home. There's like I never had a hockey team and Golden Knights is my. Yeah, that's a team right? I'm probably gonna be a ace fan
when they. Move. Yeah. When they move here, I don't even have a well, my grandpa was a ace fan, so I was kind of always a ease. And then I became a a Braves, but they're not at the age are coming back or coming here. I'll probably like, start cheering for the Yeah, it's almost. Kind of like basketball, too. Yeah, I'm a floater. I'm a floater. You know what I mean? Like, I float wherever LeBron goes. I I fucking that because my team goes. Right there, yeah.
We're talking about basketball. Looks like LeBron might get a team here in Vegas, right? Oh yeah, high possibility. Yeah, I'm a big Rocky fan, but just like, who's right here? Like if we have a basketball team, I'll probably meet by secondary team just to root for. Yeah, I root for the town, right? Somebody's home team. Yeah, and basketball's so different. I feel like it's a league where it's like it's more star driven,
right? Like, I think so, yeah, because you see a lot of faces to a lot of the players, you know, and it's only 5, five men on the court, 11 players or 1511 players compared to a football team. 52 men. Yeah, 50. Three men my. My first basketball game was a Warriors Clippers Game 7. Where'd you sit on Where'd you sit? My fucking back was against the wall. The top top. No, because when we went there, we was there for a trip for our farmers release and somewhat and
we had like 20 of us and then. Wait, what arena is that the was that chase the chase? In the Oakland one was in Oakland. Oh, Oracle. Yeah, Oracle. Oracle, I'm sorry. No that. One so, so huge. That's a huge arena. You're up there. Yeah, no, we was like, bro, our you were sitting like almost forward like this, but we had like 20 of us, so that was the only way we could get 20 of us together. Oh, nice. But I thought, I thought it was the craziest shit because like it's rowdy in there.
Game 7/2 was Warriors and Clippers was rowdy. What year was that? I gotta be like 10 years. That's when Chris Paul is with the Clippers, right? I think so, yeah. Was game seven, though 15. Probably like 20/15/2016. But I remember Paul got hurt, right? I remember. Mistaken. Fuck I forgot I believe Chris Paul. That's the series. Chris Paul got hurt in like Game 5 or something like that and talk. About the Rockets batch up right. Was it Chris Paul was with the
Rockets? I'm a big Rockets fan because there was a year that we almost beat the the Warriors, but then Chris Paul got injured and then we lost the series. See, I thought that happened twice if. Maybe, maybe I don't remember the other time. I thought it happened while he was with the Clippers too probably if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong. But I just remember like Brad, it's, it's super. I knew we're known for being like the loudest team, right?
The Warriors. Yeah, especially when they were at Oracle. He's on the Warriors side. I remember a Clippers fan walking through with his Clippers jersey on the Warrior side and everybody's like, Boo, fuck you, fuck you. And then he just turns to the whole crowd and he goes, no, fuck all you guys. And then he just keeps walking and I know everybody. And I was like, this is the craziest shit ever.
To just say that to everybody in the crowd and you're like the only guy with a Clipper jersey on that side. Yeah, it's kind of like the the the Raider games in Oakland. It was kind of like if you were opposing team, like they're definitely going to get like stopped or someone's going to mess with. Them No, I was going, you're going to actually get into a physical altercation, huh. You're going to actually get into a physical altercation. Football game, No basketball, no basketball.
Not too bad. I don't think it's as bad as you went to a football game. No, not for sure. Especially the Raiders games when they were. Back I went to a A's game out there. I didn't feel safe getting out of the van when he's at the at the stadium. I've never been up there. Isn't it bad? Yeah, it's pretty fucking bad, bro. Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of die hard fans over here. Yeah, it's more family friendly out here in Vegas now, you know. Have you ever done an NBA game
yet? I have, like I said, I so I went with some of my homies in I think a 2020, 2019-2020 or something like that. Before 21, before, after COVID, I forgot what it was, but I think it was the Rockets versus Lakers. I'm a big Rocket fan, so I was happy to see Jalen Green over there, you know, and then we got our asses spanked, bro. So probably that's the only like basketball game I actually went to. Was that? One of the games that he brought his stepson to. No, now this before this one.
He just got drafted too. A little bit of back story. Stepson is like, I think older than him if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Jalen Greens because he's dating. I forgot her name. But she's like 42 and he's like 2123, something like that. I've been to one NBA game down in a Phoenix when Bron guys play down there when he still had number six. They had to throwback jerseys on too. Bro, we sat at the Heat. No, when he was at the Lakers. Oh, Lakers so recently. It was 2023, I think, OK, bro.
And we sat row 9 because I wanted, I wanted to be up close. I wanted to see like what the NBA game looked like up close. Bro that is. It's still his aura. I I. Heard like when he takes off running like it's like bro. It's insane, I've never seen anything like that in my life. I never got to see him play a game but I've heard like when he takes off off running like it's like the fastest. KD was there, right? You know, oh, you know who told me that?
Max Holloway told me that he went, he said he like watched LeBron play, and he said it was the craziest. But there's nothing like, because I mean, there's Devin Booker's there, KDS there. I believe Dwight Howard was still on the team like this was this was still the the Lakers, like the Showtime Lakers. When they had a big centers. And when LeBron, when LeBron would go up to dunk, like he just looked different than everybody on the court, it's
crazy to watch in person. You think his time is coming cuz he doesn't like look as as explosive? Yeah, when I. Or is he saving it you think? I think he can play for another five years. Yeah, I feel like he can, but I think it just comes down to what he wants to do. You know right cuz he still could do I mean he's not the same story monkey was, but he's still better than like yeah almost half of like the league more than. More than half he. Can go 28 and eight for the next five years.
I don't think we've ever seen a player do this. No like to this point of their career, like still be like the main scorer on the team. And I'm a big LeBron fan too, so I I don't know how long he could go, but I could definitely see him at least make a couple of runs. But I don't know if it I feel like he should go. He was. Saying he was done when you think so the second time he went back to the Cavs, they were
saying he was done already. Yeah, because it that's when you finally saw that athleticism drip. Like in 2016, 2017 he wasn't getting the same hops anymore. Fuck, he had that whole team on his back. Yeah, that's true. Basically. And if you look at the NBA, since what, there's been nine different champs in the last nine years, which has never happened in the history of the NBA or the ABA. But he's, yeah, I'll always like, he said.
He toned it down because he had to choose what he was going to do, right? He couldn't do everything. You said last nine years. You have different champs. That's what I believe. That's the stat that I heard. What you think about more? Years. Got how many of them? Or maybe it's seven years. In the last seven years somewhere, he's got 3, right? Yeah, in the last 9 at least. At least three. Back-to-back, right? Have they? Won they had, they had one back-to-back.
Now I think about it because it was the KD years, right? The year Katie first got there, then the year he got hurt, they they won again. And the one after COVID. That was 22, but that wasn't a consecutive thing. No, but I've seen the one. Right, right, right. But the Lakers won the COVID year, right? And then who won the year after that? I think it was 21. No, they won 22 if I'm not mistaken. I don't know. Oh, the heat versus oh, no, no, yeah, you're right.
I I don't. Know I'm slowly becoming as everybody's that generations getting older I'm becoming more fans of theirs of who like Steph and all those guys why it's. Done. It's over now. Well, he's still a. It's over now. I know, but he's still good, you know, I mean, like they're done. But I I don't. I don't. That means you're not watching the playoffs right now, are you?
No, but I'm just saying like as as like as he got like now that he's older, like I appreciate what they did in the league. Oh yeah, for. Sure. What they've done and now, now that I know it's coming to an end, I was like, fuck, I should have enjoyed it more. And they watched watched his games more. You know, I should have watched their games more instead of just watching like my the players I like. So are you watching now, out of curiosity?
The playoffs. I've been watching Caitlin Clark. Hey, hey, WBA is slowly coming. Up, but that's the only games I watch. Only only watch games. I don't know anything about the league, but. An Angel Reach? Yeah. She's the only player that's worth watching my opinion. Right? Like that has an efficiency she's on. Her approach? She sees an opener. Well, she's just getting started.
I've seen that, that one clip with when she pushed Angel Reese. Yeah, bro, I was like, oh, she's starting to stick up for herself. Yeah, the attitude. She got the attitude and. Her team was quick to come and help her too. Like never last season. Last season kind of would. Take a while. Yeah, everybody was letting her get pushed around, but I think this year I think she's definitely going to be up there. What do you think about Paige though? Is she nice too?
But we just have. To see they're all boring bro they got. To lower the rim dunk. They can't. Like they suck. They they suck. You know what I mean? They really suck. Caitlin Clark's the only one worth watching in my opinion. They should nice though, but you know. I heard Sabrina's got some good shoes. You know, that's what they that's what they say shoes though. But in that bro, it's boring. It's women's basketball. Come on now. I only root for Do you watch
Steeplechase? Do you watch Steeplechase? No, it was that. Yeah, 'cause it doesn't really matter. It's the it's the track of it where you run and you jump over the puddle of water and you land in the water and you. Know the thing still I. Didn't even know that was the thing at all. Isn't that just I thought maybe it was raining when they had the sand pit? No, it's it's the steeplechase
that's an event. I thought it was, I thought it was a sand jumping thing, but in there maybe it rained that. Day it's an Olympic event. They they literally pull a pit out and they fill it up with water. I thought it was raining that day. And they do it a lot in the South, in high school still, they compete in it. Oh shoot, I I've never heard of. That, but we do have our for Maine Las Vegas Raiders correspondent Mr. Simone Raider. Man, I appreciate you guys
having me, man. This first time here, I was waiting for the invite one day. I was like, Dang, it's been a minute. It's been a minute. Yeah. Hey. First time in the Honors Brand Studio. I know this, this is dope. Man, and you've been blowing up ever since. But I mean, you've been at the when did you first get in the content game? Dang 20 what did I say? 20/13/24 no 2014 I always forgetting now it's been so long, 2014. Just over that decade period, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And just recently on YouTube you cracked that 50,000. Subscribers, I know about time. I know I dropped that, but what do you call it? Like like I said, I've been on it since 2014, but I've been on and off like super inconsistent though there's some periods of time where I was like consistent, but you know, life to be lifting. But recently, like I just been back on it and stuff like that, kind of gearing up for the season and finally hit the 50K
mark. So I was like, Dan, that was, that was like a big monkey off my back for sure. I bet. But I mean, even for what would you say, a smaller YouTube creator? You guys have a big wave. You guys have done some pretty big things in the past couple of years, especially with 9th Island Media. Yeah, yeah. What was it before 9th Island Media? Oostination. Oostination. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, but no, no, we go by 9th Island now, obviously, because we're in the Ninth Island.
It was an easier name to use, I guess. But yeah, we do a lot out here, man. Especially when I moved out here, I always wanted to do stuff like kind of get tapped in with a lot of things. And now looking at it is like especially with Vegas, how big Vegas growing right now and so many events.
It's it's pretty cool to kind of like go and cover it outside of all the Raiders stuff because Raiders stuff is fun, but could be stressful at times, especially when the team's losing almost all the time, you know? But but we still try to have fun with it too.
And then with a lot of things going on with the Super Bowl, with WrestleMania out here with like Hola Hola and stuff like that, those all events that we go and just cover, have a good time and just do as much media as we can, or at least as much content as we can. Don't you think Super Bowl should come here like every two years? Every year I think that they're they're gonna make it the new New Orleans. That's what I heard 'cause if. You do it every other year. It'd be cool.
Yeah, I don't think if they they can do it every other year, 2 years, once every four years, 'cause they gotta go through a whole cycle cause fuck this. New Orleans is always like. Fuck everywhere else. Dome right? Superdome is always on the radio. For years and years and. Years. Yeah, like fuck every bro People come here 'cause they get to. We can hold the capacity of people. We have the hotels, we have the casinos, we have the bars.
People want to come here to. It's like a vacation and they get to do Vegas. It's. The perfect destination. And they have the parties and they have the clubs. But every, yeah, every event that I've covered, like Vegas has done well, like a lot of people will have oh highly of Vegas, like Super Bowl, like the one Super Bowl that they did here. So far, everybody was like speaking good things about it.
Cuz like you said, like the hotels, everything's within distance to, you know, 1 little Uber ride here and there. So WrestleMania, they even loved it out here. So I think we definitely see a lot more, especially with the baseball team coming and the basketball team coming. So I mean, you could do everything out here. I think it's the perfect. Distance. Does that overload the strip though?
You think the implementation of an MLB stadium that holds 30,000 fans, an NBA stadium that holds 28,020 thousand, whatever it does? I I don't know, man, I I thought it would have been crazy, like even bringing the stadium over here. I don't know that's on the other side, but I think Vegas can handle it. They're only. Going to they're redoing all the freeways and stuff that off ramps and. Shit, I just don't know how our strip would handle. That, yeah, but it's not going to if.
Maybe if they all had it the same. But that happened imagine like right now, right? And WNBA is in season so that'll have an arena but the. The NBA. Unless could be in the player Caitlin. Clark is playing, then it's not going to be. There's nobody. There so Caitlin Clark OK, who are teams who's the Vegas team doesn't aces? OK, it doesn't matter. WNBA team playing, NBA team playing NHL team could be
playing at the exact same time. NBA is like going to be over here closer to. This but it still would be the strict congestion though. It within like 2-3 miles you would have 6070 thousand. They'll figure it out, yeah. If they if they can do. 550,000 for EDC. But they. Can. Do yeah. But where's everybody staying? I don't know. You told me they. On the strip. Strip or unless they have RV but yeah most. Most of them on the strip they.
They they can handle it is because I think they they got a lot going. Even when they had a F1 out here, they closed down like the strip. They still and they still have people like all around. They'll they'll be able to do it. And if they're going to build stuff, I think they're just going to continue to build along, what, Las Vegas Blvd. Just add more off ramps and on ramps. One of the biggest things is the the Las Vegas loop, right?
That Elon Musk has designed the underground Tesla system that is supposed to be like crazy efficient. Have you guys ever ridden on it yet? No. Have you? I haven't done it but. It's pretty trippy. Yeah, yeah. How do you even get on there? Like you just. Despite the, despite the Convention Center, I don't know. We, well, we just was catching it from one end of the Convention Center to the other and you just go down like A and then almost like a, it's like a
shuttle. You get inside and they take you to the other side. Oh dear. Do you think it's sensible? Like, does that make sense more than like a a subway system or? Yeah, because I, I think because you don't have to build a like a track system or anything. It's just a tunnel. Is it efficient enough? Like, how's the wait time? Yeah, it was quick.
Because they're looking at implementing this until because all of that because what it is. Is every Tesla driver can send their car there, You know, I mean, so if if you have a Tesla, you can go and put your Tesla there and work and make money off of it. Do you have to drive the Tesla or no? I I think once again the tunnel is hands free. Oh, I didn't even know that. Well, like, yeah, they have the new app for like you can just
call your Tesla to you now. Right, but but it's like they can send fucking 1000 Teslas there lining up, just taking people. Boom boom, boom boom. Yeah, but it doesn't. Like it doesn't get stacked up or whatever at any. Point the train right, The train is going to be. Oh, is, I guess, I guess if you look at it that way, right, that's.
Crazy I can't get into. It, I feel, I feel like it'll work like, like you go to places like Japan and fuck, they have a transit system and the traffic's not too bad over there. But they got like the trains right that the high speed. What's the It's a similar to me. Similar because it's a transit system. It's like the Bart, right? When the Bart, when the Bart closes down, everything is fucked. It's the Bart. It's like a under underground train. Is it a train? A train, right?
Consider it a train. Yeah. You grew up in Cali, right? Yeah, So Cal, I'm not going to lie, I I never been to Oakland, so I can act like I have. Been not even like an Oakland stadium for the game or anything. Never, bro, I, I never went because I, I was in like high school, so I didn't have money to just go to a game. And then my parents weren't just going to send me to Oakland or take me to Oakland for a game. By the time I had my own money, they moved over here to Vegas.
So that's why I go to all the games over here though. But they're gentrifying Oakland. I see that, yeah. I mean, they're losing all. These games, the omahomies that was over there, they worked for like Amazon or not Amazon, like YouTube. Oh, not YouTube, like Google and
shit. Oh OK. OK, so I had like a friend that was a chef, but fucking they seem like they're gentrifying it and expanding because they were they I guess they more industrial area so now they're able to expand or something like that. I wouldn't doubt it. I like going over there. That's my favorite place to go. Is it a Bay? Oakland Bay? Yeah, I've.
Never been anywhere. Well, I used to go, we used to go to Oakland to party, but then my friends from San Francisco would be like, fuck, call us when you get back because they wouldn't want to go on that side. Oh yeah, dangerous. Yeah, there's like, oh, when you guys come back and hit us up and we can cruise, but we ain't going on that side. Oh. Dang, you've been to the Levi Stadium? Levi is Niners, right? Oh no, I haven't.
New Niners Stadium. Yeah, I think that's where Super Bowl is going to be at this this upcoming year. Who wants to go to the Bay? I know it. Sucks, but I guess we're just going to figure out who the Raiders. Trash Ridge in California. Yeah. Bringing it back to the Raiders. Let's take it back to the draft. How did you feel about the Raiders draft this year? You know, I was happy about it.
I mean, Ashton Jetsey, everybody thinks that I hate him, but I felt like the only reason why I was OK with not getting Ashton Jetsey because there were so many great running backs in this year's class that we could have addressed in the second, third round. Because I really like T Mac coming out in the draft. I wanted to the number one, the number one wide is here. Plus he's Polly too. So I was like, oh, then I've been perfect.
But. Shit, he would have got a headless fan support if you came. Back here, 9th Island. That would have been crazy, but I like it so far. I mean, I think Pete Carroll and them did something that the Raiders haven't done in a while is like actually get players that nobody are surprised by, especially in the first round. So I think that they're slowly building something over here, which. You don't think it was a surprise taking then they take two FCS quarterbacks back-to-back.
He. Did and and the sixth round I was surprised by it for sure cuz I I won a shudor too. Like that was another person I I wouldn't mind getting. And that wasn't he available at the time as well? Well, he was available up until the fifth round, which is kind of crazy, but I was surprised that at, at first. But I, I guess cuz one of the quarterbacks, they're turning into a wide receiver and the other guy guess supposedly Tom Brady like the other guy. So we'll see if he turns into
anything. What do you think? Does he look like a future franchise quarterback? The kid out of North Dakota State. He he look good though, but then again that's callers. I can't really say anything into the NFL unless he actually puts on the peasant balls out during the pre season. But other than that, like I, I try to keep my expectations low because every year I always have it this high right before the season and then when the season starts, I'm just like, damn man.
Didn't we have a good start to the season last year or was it the year before? The year before, last year, I mean, we were one and one. After two weeks, we beat the the Ravens and that we thought, you know, we were going to be real. Yeah. That that that didn't turn out right. We've only won five more games since then. So, Jesus, out of the entire 2025 NFL Draft, who was your favorite draft pick?
Oh damn, our third round pick. Darren Porter, our second or third round pick, Jack Bash out of TCU or Darren Porter in the third round, because Porter was the only player I actually like like predicted that we would get and we actually got him. And he he's kind of like the the Pete Carroll type of cornerback. Everybody says he's like the Richard Sherman.
I'm not going to say he's like Rich like he is Richard Sherman, but he's a wide receiver turned cornerback in I think we could you and and knowing Pete Carroll's history, he's he always does good with drafting cornerback. So that's one guy that I'm really looking forward to watching this year. How much faith do you have in Pete Carroll in his first season? Man, what is what? What are you forecasting as the
Raiders 2025 record? I think 88 or nine wins maybe that that's where that's where I have it at. Like I say, I'm so shaky. I I don't know, man, 88 or nine wins. I think that's a solid, solid ground for me right now. Like if we get that, then I'll be like, OK. We're headed into the right direction. Yeah, one, one thing I like OK. I wouldn't trip over the losses. As long as they look
competitive, then I'll be good. But if we go out there and look as bad as we did last year, then I I don't know. It's gonna be another tough year though, But I feel like Pete Carroll might do good. But I said the same thing about Antonio. What happened? Bro but this is different because. Y'all wasn't like the preseason, like hype videos and everything. Yeah, I was like, damn. I thought it was it, I guess, I
guess it didn't work out. Maybe Antonio Pierce wasn't a head coach like type material man, but we all thought he he gave us a little bit of hope, you know, the year prior that he could be the guy and that didn't pan out. I mean, everybody thought the heck Max Crosby thought that. We thought that even the the whole schedule release was built around him in the Raider Nation. And I was like, yeah, nevermind, let's go get somebody that actually knows how to be a head
coach. So I got I guess this year. Do you think he got a fair shot? Does does it feel like? I think he could have used another year like I, I was one of those fans that like, you know, I don't mind another year. Maybe it'll pan out, maybe not, but at least give him a chance. And how do you You don't even get to build your own personnel
like your coaching staff. See, he wasn't perfect because I I think he made some decisions that, you know, kind of bit him in the ass because he went out there and didn't really go get another quarterback. I mean, we got Gardner Minshew, but I like the the move, but I didn't think that he was going to be the starter, that he made him the starter week one.
I'm like damn, you know, over Aidan O'Connell who everybody thought was going to start, that didn't pan out, all the people that he brought in didn't pan out and it just kind of fell down from there. But this year, like I said, I have a little bit of optimism with Pete Carroll cuz he's done it before, but I just have have to wait and see what they do this year. So how do you feel about entering the season with Geno Smith as your starting quarterback? I guess better than the last
couple years for sure. I mean, he's one of the more like safest options at quarterback for us that we've had in the wall. But I don't think he should be that bad, you know, especially because he's playing with Pete Carroll again and we got some weapons there. So we got Brock, Bowers, gosh, and Jessie now. So I hope that helps out, you know. Give me the stats. What kind of season are we looking forward to from Geno Smith in his first season with
the Las Vegas Raiders? And give me, give me, give me 25 touchdowns, maybe around. 25 touchdowns, You realize it's a 17 game regular season. Not right. We just got to hand the ball off to Ash and Jesse for most of those touchdowns, but I shoot I guess 3500 yards, 25 touchdowns, 7 picks, but more wins. I'll be OK with it. You know, I don't really like looking at the stats like that unless we're winning. But you know, that's just me
though. And are we figuring they get into the wild card or there's a playing game? I think that that that's best case scenario for me wild card. And then I, I think this year at the UC net, they're trying to implement the, the new playoff for bracket. So hopefully, you know, we we could sneak our way in there and, and, and the playoffs this year. I think we can, but then again, like I said, I said every year so. You sound like a hurt Raiders fan, like there's some timid expectations.
Very, Yeah. Because. Because you know what? Very humbled. Like I said, I moved over here What, 2022? I know. I think we had John Gruden first and I thought, OK, we we could easily get twelve wins, right? And then that didn't happen. And then we. Don't you think he would have been a good? It would have been good to keep. He would have been a great. But then. There was before the e-mail. Yeah, the emails, I mean the. Emails. How long before that? I have no idea.
I thought they were funny. Wasn't it like 10 years before? Yeah, it was old emails that they brought us. You know what's funny about the whole thing? They weren't even investigating the Raiders. They were investigating Washington and Dash Snyder and then they went through his emails and then John Krudis even that that e-mail popped up. And then all of a sudden like they had to let him go. And that was the year that we were actually doing good. I was like bro, now you guys at
least have chance. Bro, we had a chance. And then they did that and I was like, oh, you're fucked. And then now we didn't have him and Henry Ruggs, yeah, wanted to do what he did. And then our our cornerback went crazy. But then we still made the playoffs that year because we beat the Chargers at the end of that season. I don't think Henry Ruggs wanted to smash into the Prius and kill the chick and her dog.
But I know with that, but still the decisions that he made though, you know, like I've wish they. Already had free Ubers. Yeah. Oh yeah. They did. They did. And then the NFL implemented it after the after. That definitely. Well, they did. But the Raiders already had that free Uber thing already. No, Yeah. But you know, they, they, they say that, but they, you know, when you have a family and stuff like that, you think you're good. You think you're gonna you're
gonna be good going and. Then bro but he was driving like 160 something no? That's why I said like. Like a Jones or Rainbow or something. It's spring back. If he's that drunk where it's all his friends. That's what that's what I was saying. Like, yeah. They were with him. They were in a car behind him. He was. Supposed to fucking say something. Yeah, before he got. Like he's especially because he's the guy. Like he's. He's the guy. Yeah, he's the guy. He was going to be.
He was. Going to make 9 figures. And he was getting like, that was the year he was breaking out too until that that happened. So like after that season, I think we brought in with Josh McDaniels and we we brought in Devante Adams and I was like, oh, Super Bowl, you know, that didn't happen. And then last year, like I said, AP OK, we got a real coach. Now that didn't happen. So now it's like, you know, we got Pete Carroll who who's done
it before. He has a good track history but I try to like temper my expectations now cuz if I keep him low I wouldn't be disappointed during the season. You guys have a a rugby star that's never played. Oh yeah, Locky tasi bro. Big goose right there, I think.
He's How's he looking so far? Well, from while I'm here I, I haven't seen him or anything like that, but they're saying like he looks good cuz he's a pretty, pretty big body and I'm gonna pause, but he, he, he looks pretty quick out there, but he's a big body on the defensive line. So we'll, we'll see how he, you know, pans out. I mean, not everybody turns into my Lotto, you know, but I think he he's got a high, high ceiling with the Raiders.
The Derek Carr retirement. How did that feel from a die hard Raiders fan? Oh, Dang. OK. So yeah, yeah. So Derek Carr, I guess like, like looking at it is like, Dang, like cuz for the last couple of years for sure. I'm not gonna lie. Like I was critical of him, like I want I wanted to move on from him at the time we did only because I felt like he was never going to win with the Raiders. I think we just kept thinking he was going to do it.
But I think after his injury was never going to happen. But you know, I was always wishing for him to do the best over there with the New Orleans, but that didn't pan out. And then when he had finally announced it, it kind of just made me think about like, Dang, like all he did for the Raiders, kind of looking in the past, not looking at what he did right
now. But it's like, damn, it's a kind of like a bittersweet moment to see that he's going to step away from it. But I totally understand it because, you know, you got to think about his family, his health. And I was looking at his career kind of corresponded to minds because, you know, I started YouTube the year he got drafted with Khalil Mack. So it's like, Dang, can't believe he's done.
And I'm still here to see like where the content has grew from 2014 to now and all the opportunities and just like cool things I get to do, like being on here and stuff like that is like kind of crazy. Puts everything into perspective
though. But as far as Derek Carlow, I always look at him and like, you know, once a Raider, always a Raider, the Raider nation, no matter how people think, whether they like him or not, I feel like they still got respect for him because everybody loves the person. Maybe not really the the the player on the field, but I feel like him as a person. He was a good leader for the
locker room. And I think that the 2021 season where, like we just said, with John Gruden being fired, Henry rug situation, we needed a leader in the locker room and I think he was the perfect guy for us. He's a man of God as well, right? He's digging the church. Yeah, but I feel like when they would take him on and put Mariota in, the whole stadium would cheer more from Mario. No, I'm not.
That was at the time when I was OK with moving on from Derek Carr when we have Mariota on the team, I thought. Just a couple. Bro, we should have been put Mario. Mariota be stealing my hair appointments in the morning to 8:00 AM motherfucker bro homie cuts my hair. We went to from to school from kindergarten together. But then if he hits me up, he's like hey, gotta move you to 9:00 on like fucking said for. Mario. Fucking Mario at all.
No bro, Mario, see, I think. But I'll go in, I'll go a little early so we can talk story. Is it better the only guy can take my appointment either? You better give me a yeah. No, no. Yeah, Mario, I thought. You might never get a jersey out of that. No, you couldn't have guilt tripped him for an appointment for a jersey. Yeah, he. He's such a nice guy, though, he's really, he's such. A nice guy definitely could have guilt tripped him.
Yeah, I think Mariota, like, it kind of sucks the situation he was with with the Raiders because Jon Gruden was never going to move on from their car, like, but I felt like they should have like Mariota like every time, like you said, every time he was in there, I was at those games or even watching it on TV, bro, everybody be hyped. Everybody knew he's gonna run. But it made it more like fun to watch. And like the one game that he played was when Derek Carr went
down and he balled that. We lost the game against the Chargers, but Mariota balled that like running, throwing. And they said that Derek Carr is going to be out for like 2 weeks or something after that. Bro, Derek Carr came right back. He was like, yeah, you're not going to take my spot though. I was, I was always mad. I was like, damn, Mariota never got a chance to like really compete to be the starter.
But I think he would have been a perfect quarterback over here, especially on the 9th Island, but I don't think that. Just the environment, the support from the people like it would have been a such a symbiotic. Relation and I think at that that time in like Derek Carr's career and even Mariota, I think Mariota could have been way more. For us, you could have outplayed Derek Carr that time for. Sure, for sure. Cuz like like no disrespect to Derek Carr.
Derek Carr is like, good like, but he's not like, there's a, there's a ceiling there, like. He's a three time pro Bowler now. No, no, for sure. But I don't feel like with the team that we had, he wasn't I, I feel like with Mario's do a third ability, it could have definitely helped out the run game and even the pass game too. So I feel like his time with Vegas could have been great, like even better. But obviously we didn't really
give him that chance though. But it was dope to see him because I'm, I'm always going to be biased when there's a Poly on the team. I'm always going to want him to be the. Best. But he was good. That's why that's the and. He was yeah. And people, people think that he was bad, but I was like, bro, he's not as he could be worse though. But I, I, I think he, he, he would have been pretty cool. But he didn't even like, not where he's at. He's like, almost like a coach
on like a coaching role, right? Yeah, well, now in his career, yeah, the. Redskins, though, right? Or the Commanders, whatever they call. It yeah, probably, yeah. So, but he's like almost like a coaching role where he's at. Now he's more yeah, like, like you said, he he got like. A OG leader. He's a like a backup coach. Slash, yeah. Bank of Holla E spokesman. Slash. Yeah, Slash, what is it? What Toyota is? Is it that he the spokesman for in Oahu? I don't know. Is he I'm?
I'm like 99%. Sure, a Tacoma. No, but what's the what's the Toyota dealerships on Oahu? What is it serve coal I. Don't know you live there, bro. I forget. I forget. You ever hear the story of Marcus Mariota committing to Oregon? Nah. So when he he was out of camp in Hawaii or actually, no, I'm sorry, they were at practice. One of Oregon's I think their D line coach was down and they were actually were scored scouting a couple of D lineman at Saint Louis at the time.
And they were running sprints. And he had noticed Marcus Mariota at six, four out sprinting everybody, all of their receivers and everybody. So he invites Marcus Mariota had camp up to Oregon. So he's at an Oregon camp. They're up there in pads for like 2 days smooshing the coaches. He's killing it at camp. Couple days into the camp, I don't know where Marcus Mario, I'm sorry, Johnny Manziel rise, Johnny Manziel rise to the camp.
They start battling it out through the camp and at the end of the camp Johnny Manziel commits and he's like the star of Texas at the time. He's killing 6A down in Texas. Marcus Mariota leaves the camp when his mom flies back to Hawaii, tells her, you know what, I I don't think I'm going to go to Oregon. I'm just going to go to Washington. And his mom says, do you want to go to Washington? You really want to go to place
for the Huskies? And he says, no, but what am I going to do, Go to Oregon, sit on the bench and split playing time with Johnny Manziel? It just doesn't make sense. And she tells him, well, look, if you want to go to Oregon, you're going to have to compete at some point. You might as well go where you want to go. And then as he gets home, he commits to Oregon. Johnny Manziel goes through his issues and what not, never plays to Oregon, goes down to Texas A&M and kills it.
Yeah, I know. Like, talk about a perfect. Perfect time dude. 2 future Heisman winners at the camp at the same time battling. Of course they're both going to get offered. Yeah, that's crazy, though. I remember him coming out of coming out of Oregon going into the draft, man, I think he was like, I think he's like the first like actual Poly like QB to really like. Yeah, because you had Jeremiah Masoli, right? That was at Oregon. 1st but but that he didn't.
Really. He phased out, I think that the Ole Miss, right? Even when two years several came to the end of fight, he was in like the guy though, but like you know, us Polly's or Samoans or whatever they were always looked at as O line, D line, whatever. Linebacker. Yeah, safety maybe, but like like skill position wise like. They're flying all into Tennessee to watch them play. Well, especially quarterback, right? Yeah, especially. Quarterback. Quarterback.
Like they didn't even let black people be quarterback yet. Yeah, so, so to see him counting out of the draft, man, it was kind of crazy. And then I feel like they didn't really do him justice over there in Tennessee though with the old line. But if there's something like to take out of like, dude is humble though and that really shows like his upbringing too. The dude threw a touchdown pass to himself in a playoff game. Bro that's.
Crazy. That's still crazy against the Chiefs. Wasn't it against the Chiefs? Yeah, that was crazy. I still remember that play. But I feel like he definitely paved the way for a lot of these other guys, you know, and he got two over here doing whatever he. Was coming up right after that out of Saint Louis specifically, right? Because when when he was when Marcus came out, it was like, OK, wow, this is like one of the
best players in the nation. That kind of was like just unheard of. Yeah, but two of from freshman year, it was like, holy crap, this kids got one of the best throwing motions we've ever seen. And by the time he won the Elite 11, Trenton Dilfer was like, this is the best throw of the football we've ever seen at the high school level. Better than everybody. Yeah. So, yeah, 2 of was like the truth. And and Marcus really did start
that trend. And Nico Yuma Lava and then his brother now, like these kids are making seven figures in high school now that's. Totally crazy. If you think about the whole Nico's situation, that's kind of crazy in itself too. Well, his brother, right? Signed and committed to UCLA. And then Nico goes through his issues with Tennessee, doesn't find a place to sign, and then
he goes to sign with UCLA. His brother signs with the Razorbacks. Then after Nico signs with UCLA, his brother leaves Arkansas and goes and signs back with UCLA to go back of his brother just like they did in high school. Oh shoot, I didn't even know that. So it's it's a, it's a crazy story. Nil is wild. The transfer portal is insane. It's. Almost like free agency now. Like the way. The way.
It's crazy over there. Like the power that the the schools had before to lock down these players does not exist anymore. Like now a player doesn't have to enter the transfer portal, he can literally just unenroll from a school and go to any school of his choice, enroll and not sit out any season. Theoretically, what now can you can do in NCAA? You could leave a school mid season, unenroll and go to another team in the same season in a row. There's no rule against it.
That's crazy. Like college football. NCAA is in like the craziest period it's ever been. It's dude, could you imagine that? The starting quarterback for Alabama leaving next week, playing for Auburn in the Iron Bowl, That could literally happen now in college sports. There's. No cut off period for that. There's nothing against it in the NCAA rule book. Damn, yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, we're at a crazy point in college sports right now. Yeah. Do you think it's good for for
the NCAA or? No, it's it's like the same thing with government when things swing too far on one end of the pendulum and it goes way too far out the other way. It was way too far in the university's control and it's way too far in the players control now. Like there's hopefully we end up in a happy medium in the next couple of years, but it's it's in a hectic. Place making, you know, making the most of the situation right
now you know yeah, but. Because some of some of the guys wants to get into the big leagues. They're done. You know some of them, some of them can make their money now and that's the money to get you. Remember Malik Henry from from the Netflix show QB One? I never watched. It bro, he was a star. He was the number one player in the nation. I believe at the time. We're the number one quarterback in the nation. He just went undrafted and signed to like an arena football too.
Oh shoot, I don't know, even DJDJU didn't even get drafted either. I remember he was a big deal coming. Out of Saint John Bosco back in the day on QB one like since high school that dude was. And I'm going to Clemson. Go 165, right, 230, whatever. He was the big arm. Yeah, kind of crazy now though, thinking about it. But he just signed to Chargers. The Chargers, yeah. I think it's a good thing though. And his brothers probably going to be a top 15, top 10 picks right now.
Yeah, yeah. Coming out of Oregon. I think the NRL money is good, but it just depends on how they they they utilize it. I feel like if they learn how to use their money like in college, by the time they're in the NFL they should be good because there's so many players like back then. Like once they get the money, they don't know what to do with it and start spending on so many things. But now that they got it, hopefully they're knowing what to do with the money, like
investing, whatever. Probably, yeah. Probably not, depending on their circle. It's gonna be like me. Have you guys ever seen the interviews that they do with these players like the East West bull shrine game, the All Star game? They ask them, what's your favorite NIL purchase off the bat? That's a horrible question to be asking these athletes. What's your favorite NIL purchase like you're encouraging them to blow the cash.
Yeah, everyone answers. Their Mercedes, their car, their Rolexes. What's the 8? The car is like Dale bro. Like you got a couple of lights in the house or something like you? Got a couple white quarterbacks and be like I haven't really spent my money but I have invested a. Lot. I bought a tractor John Deere for my farm. For something like that.
A white boy actually answered stocks like he he has stocks and how his stocks has performed at. Least something where you can invest in I think will be perfect for these guys, especially if they're not paying for like rent yet or something like that. They could be using it on so many different. Things housing market for sure. You would think so, right? Because, but hopefully I, I don't know if they're even. Kind of comes depends on how the parents brought them up, you know?
That that, that too. At the end of the day. Hey, why do Polly parents not just become of educated sports agents? No, I'm I'm serious like like like T Mac, why would his father or mother not drop everything they're doing and then just become a sports agent? Because you're going to help your son and you're going to go to sheet 15% of his contract. So instead of 15% of 27,000,000 going to whoever it went to. I'm pretty there's. A lot of there's a lot of logistics behind a lot of stuff
who you know. I'm sorry, man, if you have, if you have the leverage that these guys have, I I don't I'm so you're just not going to pick T Mac in the 1st 10 picks. No, but it's like that's the difference with like a contract can be half the size if you don't know how to negotiate. Good. No, it no, no, no, it can't. Not how the draft is structured now, but there's like there's like oh so much between what you're going to negotiate the contract for, you know what I mean?
Like, like there's as like the as the first pick you're going to get around what is it like 40 something million now for? Something like that, yeah. There's there's like a set amount per pick that like you're getting basically. So you you really can't mess it up, especially coming out of College in the first like 2. No, you. Can say minus half of that right away. No, you, you, you can't. Like there's a structure. When you get 20 mil a contract, what does half of it go to?
As soon as you get it? What? Do you mean? You're almost half of it is gone taxis okay so that's gone already and if you have a good accountant then you're fucked with that. There's a lot of shit that they're not educated enough you. Can go get one accountant bro H&R? Block, you know, fucking accounting turbo taxes right there, accountants that RIP guys off. Okay. That's why it has to have a lot of there's a lot of in betweens I think.
Yeah, there's a lot of responsibility, especially if you're putting on your parents and most of these parents, they don't even unless they're doing like the due diligence to like to learn all that. I think Jaden Daniels mother does it right. Like she takes care of everything, but I think it's because she went through all the and you. Probably end up like all those, what is it called? Little fucking actors that were from young and their parents had control of all their money.
Yeah. That doesn't, no. No, but that's not what we're talking about though. But you never know, like like you say, like I'm saying, if I if I have my dad, like OK, you take care of it. And then like he's probably he pinch. When he feels like. Yeah, yeah. He's like let me throw an extra 50,000 miles away. If you feel. But that's the thing, you could.
You can. Say that you can say it's sad, but when when you when they're like in this position where like, oh, I paid all this money to get them here, they're going to pinch. But that's what agents do anyway, though Agents are doing the same thing. They float their planning. Contract and everything. Oh yeah, that and then if you have a Lord to. Well, that would be the same situation that you would have the ability to still sue, that he's still your agent, like your
parent. I'm saying your parent going through the schooling, getting certified, getting the license, being able to be an actual agent. How do you think? Do you really think so? Come on, it's a lot of like. All these guys is from the hood, their parents ain't went to no college, getting no degree and they're. Trying to talk back to your parents and like. Give me a fucking salsa real quick. It's my money. You go and play. No, but like, what do you call
it? Like back in the day, I feel like we're kind of accustomed to that. You know, when you get your first paycheck, like, OK, you don't see the check. You just give it to the parents I think. Bro you guys still, you still send money at home to some more right? Movie I will, but they don't. I will. They ain't got no check is. That like, is that something that I don't want to send? No, but that's what happens, all
right. A lot of the money gets sent back home like it's just like customary, like custom. Oh yeah, they they do that, Yeah. And if you don't send it, they're like, oh, you. You don't? Yeah. Are you no longer a king or whatever? I. Don't believe, you know what? Shout out to my parents though, because they they never really put it on me to like, hey, you have to give money to your family back at home. They always handled it and stuff like that. Never made me think about it.
But I know a lot of families that. Yeah, they give one other. Day you got to give up your whole check like your first check, give it to your parents and then you don't do nothing else with your money. But I, I, I don't know how it'd work and, and like going into the NFL because like I said, there's a lot of logistics going into that and a lot of trust. You could kind of ruin your relationship too with your your family or your your parents
because they they're. Probably making decision of emotion, not really business. That too. I don't know in T Max case we're talking three, $4 million somewhere around there that he could have kept in his family. That's a lot of money does. He have his family. Like I know his dad went viral for looking literally exactly like him. Did you see that post? Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, but a lot of these kids that are stand up players, where are they from the hood?
For example, D JS dad, do you don't you believe he could have been his agent if he if he was a first Round Top 15 top ten draft picks like his brother will be, for example, with his connections and how deeply rooted he is, I believe he's got the leverage to wear and the connections to be his son's agent and you're. Talking different and that's like you have Dion doing he he could manage his son because he's been through it all. He knows the loophole, that
knows. Your guys point and told me I'm wrong. But but he he knows the game. Look what the But look what happened to Shadur Sanders. He went from a first the first pick to a fifth round draft pick and then his other son went undrafted and then signed to a Rosen and then signed a multimillion dollar. But then you have like, you can have fucking like a dad, like the ball brothers, right? Yeah. You know, but that proves my point, right? Is having. I'm just saying like.
Top talent sons that are it doesn't really matter because. But the dad, the dad just kind of like they already had lived like in a nice house and all that. They're educated, you know what I mean? Like a lot of these guys are from like the streets, Like what? Their parents probably isn't even there, right? You're saying they're probably black? I never said that. I didn't say. That great. Like LeBron, you know, only had his mom. Yeah. And what did the mom do?
Buy a fucking Hummer. Yeah, but I mean, he really bought her the Hummer, right? Mom would have been like, oh boy, I need a Hummer. It'd be nice if I could get a Hummer. You know I gave birth to you. Well, look what Forrest Gump's mom did for him. You know what I mean? What? Did Forrest Gump's mom? Bang the fuck out of that principle. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, true. Boy, your Mama loves you. Yeah, I just think it just depends on what what they're able to do.
And I feel like parents can do it, like I said, if they go through like all the right avenues to do it, but then also stay low key while doing it because like you said, what Dion, Dion can do it and even Levar could do it. But you know, they're big public figures. So, you know, the media is always going to feel some type of way towards that. But if they stay low key and stay in their lane. No, I got two out of three right he. Did maybe three. He went three for three, maybe 3.
Now he's. Got a multi $1,000,000 recording deal. Bro that's three for three. He made 3 millionaires 3 for three. Imagine if you had that as. I said he did really good. That's he did really good. He. He. Created over 1/4 billion dollars in revenue with his Dick. Could you imagine that? Could you imagine coming and then making a quarter $1,000,000? I'm pretty sure it was way more work than that he was hard on. Them he had to come three different times. But he was hard on them.
If you if you watch, he was. Hard on her or in her? I'm sorry, that's crazy bro. Three kids and he won like even from the jump if you think about it. Because Mello would have been in 8th grade, right? And he won a high school championship with Lonzo and Jello while in California. Yeah, that's true. That's some super star dad shit like Hall of Fame stuff. Would you give up your leg for that?
I mean, he's doing, I know he's doing that though, but I don't know what I could do without one one of my legs though, but. You're a goat. Is that what happened? Is he probably probably have gout or? Diabetes or something? Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But having gout is like being one naked, right? If you have it in one foot. Yeah, but would you rather have gout or one leg? God comes to ghosts. At least it doesn't hurt anymore once it's gone, right? Fuck yeah, I've got you have you
have what is it called? Ghost limbs? What is that? You can still feel your foot and shit there. You tickle like. No but I know a guy that he has like 1 foot but he's he can still wiggle his toes and feel something like tickling his toes. Just tell me it's all it's all his mind because. The way it's called, it's called, it's actually called something because the nerves is still there, like that's supposed to be going there. Yeah, yeah. What I mean at the whatever the
stub or whatever. That's crazy. What do you guys call him? Fred Mahuka oh is. That his real name. Right. He used to drive the semi so when he had to like he has his gas foot, so he would like pull it off of the gas and put it on the brake when he had to brake. I had to ride with him one time. I was. Why can't he just push everything late? No, because it's a fucking real like us is like you can move your foot, press the brake, right? That's your reaction.
He still drives. He drives with no feet, basically. No, he has to pull. He has to go like this shift, grab his leg, put it on the gas. So it's like a real there's a delay. Buddy, that means there's no foot down there, so he drives it. No, there's. No foot. It's a fake foot. That's. Crazy, that's. He's a fake foot but like. Well, he still doesn't carry it though, even if he feels it. Like there's no foot. No, no, he has a prosthetic. Limb. There's a prosthetic limb, but there's still.
No foot on the end. But he has to like push, move it, push the brake and the gas. What about the clutch? His left leg is a mega point. Oh, that's crazy, but. You don't really. You don't need you to take off. Which what do you mean? They don't use the clutch when they shift down, semi when you stop and go. That's crazy. Would you give up a a leg for your kid to be a multi millionaire?
But just from the knee down, no. No, no, they're either going to make it, make it themselves, or I'm going to try to put them in the right avenues to do that. But. What if, like one of them's got a contract, $100 million? I definitely. Give a pink a pink you. Just got to give below the knee of your left leg. How much of it is mine? Your kids can help you out. How much did you love your kid? Sounds tough though.
It's kind of like like that, like what you say yourself to be like famous or like successful, right? That's kind of like. Some Illuminati shit, yeah. Hey. I give up my kids knee and down for my $100 million. You better, I'll give it up for him. I need to start running. Chop my kids knee off right now bro. Oh, your kids are yours? No, I would give mine what I'm saying. I'd also give his if they take it as an option, you know, I'd ask like, hey, could be
switched. Like can I take the 100 mil and I'll give you his leg? Yeah. That's crazy. Are you? In a 5050. No, he went in a 5050 with me. I'd give him a few mil you know what I mean. Like 10/15/20 but come on, what do you need your leg for? A lot of things is. Bro I'll give you a guarantee if I so you wouldn't. If I gave you $20 million, you wouldn't give me your knee down? No on one leg for 20 mil. 20
mil. 20 mil Oops. Damn, what you're not doing, run it. Straight they got they they, they got mechanical legs or something like that. Yeah, they got prosthetics. I don't. I. Don't carbon fiber. Carbon fiber. All right, how much does it take for you to do run it? Straight, you can be like that runner with the the Olympic runner. Tink tink, porlo tink tink what? Is that what is the one he had? Like the fucking they said he was. Cheating because he Yeah, you remember that story?
The South African guy he killed? He killed the white. Tink, right. He killed it in the Paralympic. It's golden medal. And then his wife was also an Olympian. He killed her. Yeah, he shot her. Yeah. In the bathroom, in in their home. Why I? Don't know he had. He had an itch she couldn't scratch. I don't know. She's probably a whore or something. Who knows that? Was crazy. If you had no legs, wouldn't you kill your wife? Why? Why would I? Kill my wife.
I think you've been kind of dependent on her to I. Would be more dependent on. Her. Now, could you imagine if you fucked up your eggs? Eggs. Yeah. Oh, scrambled eggs. Then you'd be like Jake, the must. Woohoo. Who's that? You ever watched a movie? What is the movie called Once for Warriors? Oh man, she's like, cooked. Him, I've never seen it cooked him had some fucking eggs and he fucking back and there. I What's going on with your people and run it straight.
That's just going crazy viral. Bro I just found out about that well last week. That's crazy. Bro I had no idea it's been because we found run it straight from New Zealand right? Yeah, a couple like a few weeks a month ago maybe. Did you know it's been popping in Australia for longer? No, supposedly. It's gonna pop. It actually have been because the crowds were pretty big already by the time we found it, right? It wasn't like it was like small crowds. It's kind of big crowds.
But we got it before it got to like the arenas in the stadiums, yeah, and before the sponsors got. Bro it's huge. They're in stadiums, they're like they've got huge sponsorships. They're sponsored by Kick now. Like it's crazy. Dang, I I I've seen a couple. I thought at first when I watched it, I thought it was like just kids at the park, like just doing. Their That's how it started. See, that's what I thought it was.
And then I started seeing one of my boys reviewed it or whatever, and then I looked into it like, shoot this actual sport. Like, that's kind of crazy. It is crazy. I think it's worse than the slap. Like at least slap your it looks somewhat professional. I mean, this is professional too, but like if I if I'm on the other side obviously like a bigger is there weight classes to it I. Don't think so. I think it's just. Yeah, I don't know about that.
It's starting off like UFC1, no weight classes. Bra they're just throwing refrigerators at each other. If it gets big enough, they're gonna have to do weight classes too. I don't know. I don't think so. I think it's just the fuck they're gonna have. To do like, you can't have like you against like Cisco or something like or Cisco, yeah. I don't belong there, guys. That's. Not my sport. I'm not built for that. There's that. One you need the USA, those are
the uses up there. I think that's it. Like like. Is my only polly's over there like I haven't seen? Anybody. It's all Polly's. Yeah, so. I guess it's good for Polly on Polly's. I feel like it's all rugby players that never made it or something. I don't know. Don't. Don't quote me on that, don't fucking be. DM me. Or nothing. He's. Going to He's going to. Clip it and they want to be fucking DM me and shit. Line it up. Somebody in the comments was fucking hella shit.
Who's that? I don't know. I was like Fred, I guess. I don't know. Hey, there was somebody commented. Like I would knock the socks off around there. Bro, he's huge too. Of course I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even sign up. Like, I commented back laughing and he's like no bra for real. I would fucking clean his clock. But bro, that's where I came. I was like, bro, there's no fucking way in hell I'd sign up for that. How much would it take you to do
run it straight? Like like just one match? You don't get to see the opponent before you go. That's not my sport, easy. It's not my sport, but. What's the low like? What's the like? We lay out the contract, It's got to be a sight unseen there's. No weight cast. That's not my sport. I'm not. So what is the number Got to be? Oh.
Dear, I don't think I would ever do it voluntarily, but I I feel like it's got to be somewhat of like a life or death situation where you know, like, you know, like the gladiator days is like, hey, you got to live, you got to go through this real quick. That's probably the. Only thing you got to fight this lion, Yeah, it's like, or you got to fight 100 gorillas. One man versus 100 gorillas. You think Brad Tavares can take out 100 gorillas? I'm sorry, 100 Brad Tavares
versus one gorilla. Who wins? I think the Brad got it. You think so? I think so you get like, he'll probably lose like. Brad says on the 21st because that's his favorite number. Yeah, that's what I said. You got to put 20 Brads there just to hold them down. How does he hold them? Down though you got to grab the the arms but like.
Once yeah, yeah, he does have are we talking just straight fighting are we talking like because there's a lot of guerrillas who may fight and there's no humans that. No, I mean like like like like a a beast gorilla versus 100 Brad Tavares who's coming out on top? One beast, gorilla, just. I'm fucking sad. Straight hand to hand combat, yes. Like I, I feel like the grill, I think about like, how many 6th graders could you beat up? Could you take out a whole 100? Yeah, I could take 100.
Maybe at 50 I'll get tired, you know, my stamina will probably be. Like, but that's not what? At what point do you get tired of smashing these little fuckers heads in? Yeah, after 50 I think I'll be tired. So like, do you do they end up like taking you down and like choking you? Out, you see, I think it comes back to the question where like what kind of 6th graders are we talking about, right? Because if they're like 6th graders are pretty big, like
some small 6th graders are big. That's why I say when you look at the gorilla situation, if you're just putting like regular Joes out there, I think Gorillar wins easy. But if you put someone like skilled, if you put 100, Brock Lesnar's out there against the gorilla, I think Brock Lesnar coming out of that one. We're supposedly a gorilla's 20 times stronger than a human, right? Yeah. So let's say you bench, what, 350 somewhere around there. No, not let's say 300, then 300,
something like that. Yeah, maybe. So that means a gorilla bench is what, like 6000 lbs Somewhere around there? How's their stamina though? But how much stamina do you need when you just like and and break bones and break an arm? That's why I say you're going to lose the 1st 25, maybe 1st 20, but then you got to there's a. Sacrifice in. Here there's a sacrifice. How? How are you taking down the gorilla though? One on each limb. Oh you know what? I've seen a a video I forgot.
I think it was one of the other gorillas, like gorilla, gorilla, and one of them just straight like Dustin and he was like he was stunned. The gorilla was stunned and then like, bro, that's the time. To use IQ at that point, we're using IQ. He's just fuck up his vision bro. Fuck up the vision 1st and then you start throwing the other Brads on there and you can talk and you just got to get a couple of. Sometimes, sometimes smarter, right? Sometimes you got to do smarter. Fight IQ.
You have two people like their designated job is just everybody. Else who just engaged you was fighting Tony and he said throw the magic sand. Throw the magic sand. In the middle of what you got to do, bind it and. What would you do to the gorilla? Like you're not let. You got to choke it out. How the necks are so big and muscular? Like how? How would you you just? Jump on his back and you grab his nostrils. Oh shit, Yeah, yeah. Oh, and he got those like a big nostrils.
He's got big nostrils, yeah. Big nostrils. But still, like what? And he just bites your hand. And he knows above his mouth. But why wouldn't he just fucking? Because then you have one Brad on this one, one Brad on this arm, but one Brad on each leg. Would one Brad stop an arm? Think about it. He can bench 6000. Bones, we have 20 brads that we can go on each arm then. But would you be able to fit enough Brads on an arm to like, overcome his strength?
You know what I mean? Well, that's why you'll be grabbing fingers and pulling it again, one Brad on each finger pulling. But what if the fuck I bite you? The guy with the nose. The guy with the nose got him. I don't know bro. What's a bit like what's the most? One Brad with one Brad with his thumb up his ass like 1 Brad grabbing his nuts. He's fucked. You know what with that, with that theories we got right now, right when we take 10 brides.
I don't know, but I think he's I think he's literally just squeezing and like breaking bones and wrists and hands like with every person he touches want. To feed him lettuce. What? What? Because like 100 Amanda Newness's. What about her? No shot. You ain't got no shot. Who you versus 100 Amanda Nunes? Who's? Amanda Nunes. Yeah, but I'm not. 100 Ronda Rousey Pick any UMC female you want. You're not beating 100 of them. Yeah. What? He said.
Oh just a regular walk on guy beats her up in the gym. But I'm talking 100 of her. You're not beating 100. Amanda Nunes. You think you got a shot? Do you think there's any like human, like what would be like the top humans that you would put against the gorilla? What do you mean? Like like if you have to pick because instead of just putting regular joes out there. Guys like Brad Devar is like, like, like. You can have Jon Jones, you can have a couple strong men holding
the arms. Yeah, see. Like Eddie Halls and whatnot. Yeah, the strong man's like the Thors. Holding arms. Yeah, some some big dudes. There's somebody agile with his fingers in his nose. So we're we're talking like building a roster of 100 guys actually. That's what you have to do. Yeah, this girl is fucked. I don't know bro, especially if it's one of the big ones. Just got to grab his nuts though honestly. If somebody swinging off that, you'll be good, yeah, they'll be
stunned the whole time. Fucking one in each hand, yanking. He's done nobody. Still throwing somebody? Still throwing dust in his eyes. You just got a couple of people just head butting them and you you straight. Oh God, how do you think the Cowboys are going to do the season before we get out of here? I don't have high hopes at all, really. I don't know. I've been having hopes for 20 years. Did you want to draft Shadour Sanders? I wanted Shadour in like the third round.
I really stopped paying attention to them like 15 years ago. Or. 10 years ago, like you, you painted that level where it's like, there's no point. It is whatever, whatever it is, it is I'll, I'll, I'll on Sundays or when they play, I'll check and see if they won, if they if they lost, I'm just like whatever doesn't. No, no, no big deal. So. What would it take for you to care as a Cowboys fan again do? You fucking get to the playoffs and win something at least, yeah. There's one, right?
Like a. Couple years ago we had the 1A victory in the first round. Yeah, at least. Get to the Super Bowl because it's been some fucking years. So that's what it would take for you to be a fan making it back to the Super Bowl, not. Even that there's no like, I have no high hopes, no like. Nothing. So what? I don't even want bro, I don't
even watch the games I'll like. I'll just check if they're playing on Sundays or Mondays and I'll be like, OK, then Sunday comes at the end of the night, I'll check the score and if they want I'm like, if they lose, like no big deal. But that's life as a Cowboys fan because I'm like 2 steps away from that. I'm a couple steps away from that. But I don't even watch football. Like I I don't, I barely watch football anymore. Oh, do you? No, like over the past couple of
years. I hate to admit it because like, football is my life. For years I played college football, but like. But what do you think it is? Because like, I feel like you guys like. I haven't been like Jerry Jones. Bad, bad, but you guys have just been middle of the pack all the time. Like it's not the worst. You could be worse. I mean you guys are not like it's top right now, but you guys are always like competing somewhere. So why? Why? What? What makes?
Because most high? Standard in the 90s. High standard there's, there's been so much. We've had so much potential and we've had so much talent that hasn't amounted to anything. Yeah, what the? Fuck year after year after year where it's like, OK, you need to go get two pieces or you need to get rid of your head coach, Go sign a real head coach and like really one step away. And then he just won't do those things. So do you feel like the Cowboys will be better off when Jerry's
not there No more like? After Jerry Jones that dies, I. Didn't say that's the only way he's going to happen. He's not in charge anymore. I. Guess, but do you want to win him? Jerry Jones. Hell of an actor, right? Piece of shit as AGM. Yeah, but they were winning when
they had them, too. Yeah, But they had, what's his name, What am I think Jimmie Johnson at the time, and Jimmie Johnson was like a master at building the teams and what they pulled off with Herschel Walker and everything like that, that kind of made their 90s like they killed in the draft. They had Emmett Smith. Troy, they had a good online too, that's why and a huge line, right And that's what made their offensive line and that. Larry Allen had a huge.
Line. And then you still had like the Deion Sanders trade and everything that really shook things up. But I think as social media became a thing and as like the stadium tours started to become like they've been doing that for since like the late 90s, like after those championship runs, that's when they started doing the stadium tours. And like during practice, during OTAs, during training camp, during spring camp, they will be running like these tours and what not.
And it's been a problem for almost 3 decades already, and it's finally came out in the media that the players have an issue with it. Oh, you mean like going having training camp somewhere else? No, no, like. This time like you can ping on a tour of the. Stadium like the practice facility while the Dallas is actually practicing and what not year round they can go through the facility. Oh shit.
So it's a, it's a huge distraction of players and it has been for, like I said, almost 3 decades. Yeah, that's. Crazy. So things like that, I think it does ruin the culture and it ruins just the team in general. I guess I got a question because of course the Raiders got Ashton Ginsey.
So for, for as a as a Cowboy fan one, did you feel like happy when you guys got Ezekiel Elliott And did you feel like you guys are going to like turn everything around when you guys got him because he he balled out his first year? He played pretty good, but I just, if you look at that, because I was 2015, was it 2014, 2014, 2015, something like that. That was around the point in time where the, I think the death of the running back started.
Like if, if, if after Ezekiel Elliott's draft, if you take a look at the highest round draft pick after that, I think like if that was 2014, 2015, like 2016, I don't think they had a, a running back draft pick in the first round, if not mistaken for like 2 years in a row. So he was a very valuable pick. I think you could have gone who was there? There was some, there was a, there was a pass rusher at the time, but I think would have been better set.
And I think that's what you use at the top picks. You get yourself something like a superstar either if if there's like an AA DB maybe, but you try to use like highly talented tackle, guard, pass rusher or your franchise quarterback. Yeah. How do you feel about do you feel like Ashton Gente is going to have that type of, I think sixteen 1700 yard season his rookie year? I don't know about that, but maybe at least 1000.
I think he he'd be solid, but I think he at least brings a little bit of hope to the fan base, especially because he's a really good back or an elite back compared to the college football. But we'll see if that changes anything cuz last year we got Brock Bowers great tight end didn't really amount to wins though, you know, but I think that the hopes is up there. But I just hope we can start winning too with with Ashton Gente. But then, you know, I, I don't know, but yeah.
Did you like that? His first greeting when Ashton Gente got to the Raiders locker room and your centre was like, hey, I'm your centre. They give it the big bro hug. Oh. Hell yeah, We were all hype, bro. I think a lot of people, half of the Raider Nation, thought we're going to win the Super Bowl now so. That was the most football guy thing ever to see. I think it was, yeah. I'm excited about it, though. But we'll, we'll, we'll see what
happens this season, though. You guys got some good stars. You got Geno Smith, now quarterback Brock Bowers, like you said. Who's the receiver? You guys have Kobe Myers. Kobe Myers? He's very unsung. Like he. Yeah, he should have been in a Pro Bowl last year, right? Yeah. But before we get out of here, you got any plugs, TJ? Oh yeah, I mean, you guys can follow me as some more Raider on all social media platforms and follow the podcast at 9th Island.
Definitely got to get you guys on one of these days, but yeah, that's where you guys could definitely find me. Though you guys got the the big giveaway for the opening Raiders game, right? Yeah, we're giving away the home opener game. Who's the opener? Raiders, Chargers, Monday Night Football Week 2. That one. That one's going to be pretty cool. I know that the Niners when it was like even this pre season a lot of people hit me up for that. Oh yeah, that that's the home
opener for pre season. Yeah, we have them every year for pre season. I don't know why but. So how do people enter the contest for the the seat giveaway for the home opener? Oh bro, they just got to follow C connect and 9th on in on Instagram and then just tag three friends on the the post that we posted. That's about it. And then we're just basically giving away tickets, but we're going to be doing it all year
long or all season long. So definitely like that's a pretty cool like little sponsorship that we did. That's sick. You guys have always been locked in with some pretty good sponsors. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's good, though. It's cool. I like it, though. Kill it. Yeah. Plugs, Raleigh. Just check out the website Honors brand. Check out the May 31st we got our Kruma Lowballers car meet. This is really big. People come in from outside state, so it's a good 14 to 10:00 PM. What date is that?
May 31st. May 31st No. That'd be fire. So that's all. It's always a big one. Guys come from all over for now. And so so yes, I feel like it's just been back-to-back to back all kinds of shit. So I'm kind of drained to be. Honest, you must be burnt. You just left EDC. Yeah, this morning on these glasses there last night. I was gonna say those some new ones, they look, yeah, they look like some jade. They look. Fire. I found them last night at EDC those. Mines.
Now they gotta be, you know what brand they are, they gotta be some good quality, 'cause you had the you had the Ovi. They feel they feel pretty. Designer. Yeah, they look pretty fire. I'm think they look like some jade. Yeah, they feel pretty designer. Pretty, pretty good quality. Someone's gonna. I had a blast last night, that's for sure. What's the highlight of EDC 2025? Stage Life. I was all up on that stage. Who was the best performer of day three EDC 2025?
Well, there's a few, but like I I, I wanted to make sure I made Martin Garrix. But who was killing it like when you got there bro? Honestly what stage? Because you were there all night? Who was the best? Mainstage was but there bro honestly was never was talking about the outside. There was some DJs that was playing last night, I never heard of them but there was. Fucking killing it bro. And that you can tell when it hits because the whole fucking
crowd goes off. It's biggest concert you can ever be been to. Bigger than any concert. It sounds like Transformers having sex. It's trash bro. So you say 550,000 people showed up for it? It's not. Transformer sex. Transformers porn. Yeah, have. You been there before? Yeah, it's horrible. It's Oh yeah, I. Haven't. Been see, he doesn't embrace it, that's why. Oh, you gotta embrace it, yeah. What does that mean? You gotta be.
You have to go in there and have come in with a open heart, open mind. I did. I Yeah. Close the heart, yeah. He came in with a black heart. I wanted to like it like I want. I was trying to get into it and shit but like. Maybe you gotta go by the dubstep stage where it's like trap music. Maybe you need to 'cause you might have. Been like street like there's different types of music that's there like you could have went like and the the trap. Have you ever gotten to your car
and put dubstep on? Yeah. Really. This whole week I was fucking prepping myself all week. Tiësto was really good. What? Does that mean prep yourself? I don't get. Just hyping myself bro, like I don't, I don't know. I have a blast when I go, I don't. Get it? I have a blast. Like people, people is everybody's cool, everybody's nice, good vibes, No fights you can't even go to. You can't even go to fucking Dre's without having a fight outside in the casino.
Yeah, but that's action though. That's that's content. Oh, this is this is action. Last night the. Movie last night. There we go. We got. Yeah, it was just, yeah, it was a good time. At what age are you going to retire from EDC? Never. Well, I've been back in my camera. I've been going. I've been going since 2013. That's. Ridiculous when when all my friends was like, oh, you go through that weird shit and I was like, you can be who you want to be.
They got my fucking shorts. The pockets is longer than my shorts when I go like my shorts came up real high. Fucking tank tops. You know, you can be who you want to be. Nobody's judging, you know, I guess I, I had a friend that showed up one time and he was like his first time and it came all jeed up like he's going to the club and then you look like a weirdo out there. He's like, no, you look like a weirdo. And then he walked in. He's like, I feel like a weirdo.
I told you. Oh. God, it's not for me. You had to open your heart and your. Mind, I did, it's just that I don't get. It but you're working. That's why I'll put a pill in your drink. Oh, you weren't working, huh? Because it last year with. But still I just don't get it, like I just. Put them all in your drink and and then all of a sudden you be
in the front heart open. My heart is open, my mind is open, and He be. I I've been, I've been Ray, I've been to Ray before I've done, I've done the roles right, the MDMA and. Who were you with friends? Were your friends having fun? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just, I could not. Are you a party pooper then? I just like a party. I don't know that you kind of sound like a party pooper. Just turn. On the music, and it's not, it's not music, it's just noises.
What are you talking about the? Fucking like dude, dude, dude dude dude. Dude fucking my head started moving when you doing that. I think you're not supposed to hear, you're supposed to just feel. Feel it. Feel, feel it. Feel the lasers. Fucking feel it. I just feel like guys is in trouble. What's? The good thing about you living here, like you could just go right back home and go sleep. It's like, it's not a vacation, it's more like. Yeah, yeah. I just just avoid.
It I bet you like he, like he he said he wants to go. He's gonna go with an open heart and he's gonna enjoy him so. One day you gonna go. Yeah, maybe we go. We all go over there. Yeah, we can go in the front and then we can go. What? What is that? What is we can? Just head bang but. I'll probably feel fist to go without having to work just have them with in a shorts. Yeah. And then it was just. What are you gonna you guys do the What is it called the?
Mosh pit there's there's mosh pit there was maybe you probably enjoyed that. Just fucking yeah fucker. Just staying. Straight. Yeah, you, you didn't know that straight. I'm. Gonna I'm gonna bring a rugby ball and just run. Somebody just posted that somebody had like a half $1,000,000 tab last night. 1/2 in the tab oh 'cause well the concession is like insane and you can do like the VIP boots up there huh let.
Me look it up, you can. Probably do running straight over there, just have like be one of those like content creators. Hey, $100 right now, running straight like who wins gets the $100. See, we got, let's go do some collab content 'cause you're always that's all you got. To do is just make it to content and you got crazy people. No, no, no, I I was exaggerating 277,000 in total. What did they get? So for a $277,000 bill, what does that get you at EDC in 225?
Ace of Spades 100,000. Damn. For one, yeah, what else did they get? What else is on the? Receipt another Acer Spade 1.5 liter 30,000 Fuck, he's covering it, but it says Rose. It says 90,000. Red Bull bucket 300. Water bucket 2700. Damn, 2700. Dollars for water, I've said I we've been to EDC and I I spent $1000 in water before because they don't before like now they have water fill stations it's free but before they never had water fill station. What what?
What else is on that on the receipt? Casa Zoo Reposado 2000 Absolute 3300 Water Bucket 27 Red Bull 300 Ace of Spades 30,000 Hold on, he's covered on that one. He's 3350 Ace of Spades, 3 liter bottle 100,000 Something, Rose 90,000. Yes, 3. Hacks 25,000. Because you can't bring nothing in, huh. Oh. No, we brought a lot of stuff in for sure. Oh shit. Are you supposed to or are you allowed to? Oh, we, well, we came in from
the the helipad. So, oh, they don't, they don't search you when you go in in that way. Did you go to the helicopter? Again, no. But we we had passes that we met at the helipad and then they carted us in. But there's no security checks or nothing. From the helipad. Yeah, the was all sold out, but we've been in the helip for a long time. But yeah, now it's way more popular, so it's sold out. All that people flying. Yeah, because 8 minutes. Instead of waiting like all that
hours. Yeah, yeah. But catch the shuttle. But we didn't have to wait because we just we drove the shoulder the whole way there and just prayed there was no cops. All on the free. So we we didn't wait too long. That's crazy. Kids are wild. That is crazy. Just for me. Still Friends show strip club veteran hats on honorsbrand.com, Tacos policy down in Henderson and subscribe to the podcast. That's about it. That's it. See you guys next time, please, Sir. We're still
