Episode description

Oklahoma’s teacher shortage led to a record-breaking 3,780 emergency teaching certifications issued in 2022. From 2001-2018, Oklahoma’s enrollment in university education programs dropped by 80%.

But do students lose out when hiring traditionally certified teachers becomes a luxury this teacher-strapped state can’t afford?
