But what had happened in the last two weeks before Passover had been astounding. They'd seen Jesus, raised Lazarus from the dead. They witnessed him riding a donkey into Jerusalem, in the crowd, going crazy, worshiping him and laying palm branches before him. And then Jesus went into this sort of hyper teaching mode, and he'd been teaching them things this week in a very intense way. It was like he was trying to get as much into them as possible. Like there was some sort of time constraint. They didn't realize how significant the time constraint Waas. How short the time would be that they would continue to have Jesus on this Thursday, the day before Good Friday as we know it, Jesus and his disciples were out traveling and Jesus was again pouring into them. He was giving them some information and trying to encourage them in things of understanding and one of the most important lessons that Jesus taught that applied to them and applies to all of us in our lives all the time, but is also really important for us right now is the lesson of the vine and John, Chapter 15 Inverse five Jesus says this. He said I am the vine and you were the branches. If you remain in me and I and you, you will bear much fruit. But apart from me, you can do nothing if you do not remain in me. You were like a branch that's thrown away and it dies. Such branches air picked up and thrown into the fire and burned. But if you remain in May and my words remain in you ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. This is to my father's glory that you bear much fruit showing yourselves to be my disciples. In some ways, Jesus was specifically preparing them for the cross, but in so many ways, he was preparing them for living their lives. How life works differently when you are connected to the vine that feeds you. When you are connected to God, that pours life into you. It changes your perspective of the things around you and gives you those fruit of the spirit that allow you to deal with confidence and peace and strength in the middle of chaos. And in the middle of the storm, you and I are in the middle of chaos and in the middle of a storm. Right now we are facing it every day and every day we expected to be a little bit different, and it's not getting different very quickly. But in the middle of this, we have the opportunity to live in God's peace, to live in God's strength and hope and joy and comfort, and to be kind to one another, to be loving toe one another to give into other people's lives with the grace and glory of God shining through us. To them, this is our opportunity to shine for Jesus. This is our opportunity to let the reality of God's power in us be seen to the people around us who don't have hope, who don't have answers, who don't know what to do. We can have that for ourselves, but also now doors are opening up so that you can share that into other people. When they say, How can you be so calm? Well, it's because of the reality of God in my life, and I trust in what he says and who he is and because I have his strength within me. I can have this piece. I encourage you today to let that grace and peace and power and patients and long suffering and everything else there is that God has for you, by the power of his spirit, to be real in your life. I encourage you today to be incurring gers. He encourages, but how you live your lives by what you say and how you say it. But let them see the peace and the power of God shining through you and the fruit of the spirit coming out of you because we are connected to the vine that is feeding us so that we can produce fruit in our lives to show the reality of God around us. Easter is all about God's gift for us his peace and power and strength. Let it be real in you Let it get a hold of you today and let it be seen you The people around you show love show Grace be filled with the joy and the power of God Today Have a great day, gang he blessed We'll talk Thio. Thank you for listening today. And I invited to join me again tomorrow and every week, Day Monday to Friday as together We look to make our days better by starting right with Danny Mac. Have a great day. God bless.
