Good morning and welcome to starting right with Danny Mac. I'm gonna be here five times a week to help you get a great five minutes. Start to your day. I want to give you some encouragement and some hold from God's word. Because I really want you to know that you matter, that you are important and you have a purpose. So I invited to subscribe to this podcast and join me here Money to Friday to help your day by starting right with Danny Mac. Good morning. And welcome to Monday. It's good to have you here with me today. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and were able to get to church yesterday. It is a very long drive to your living room or to you wherever you have your computer set up. So I hope you were able to enjoy it and have a great day. But it's good to have you with me now. I came across this verse that talked about our days. It's in Psalm 90 in verse 12. It says teach us to number our days that we may gain the heart of wisdom. I took that to heart works said to number our days, and I counted up my days. I have been on this earth now for a grand total of 22,000 676 days. That is how long I've being here. I numbered my days when I got thinking about those days. I know I'm not able to remember each individual day. I can remember some specific days. I can remember some events, but really do I remember days? With some exceptions, I remember my graduation day. I remember my wedding day. I remember when my Children were born. I remember when my Children graduated. I remember when my Children got married. I remember my wife's birthday. I'm lucky that way. I remember a lot of Christmases together. His family. I have a lot of good memories. There's also a lot of bad days that I remember. I remember when my dad passed away. I remember when I lost my job. I remember when we lost our house. I remember some of the huge mistakes that I made in things that took me a long time to get over and to forgive myself, for there's a lot of things negative that I remember as well. But as I began looking and studying this verse when it talks about numbering our days, it's not talking about going back and saying, On day 18,000, 230 this happened. That's not what it's talking about. It's talking about knowing that each day produces for us wisdom. So let me give you some of the wisdom that comes with numbering our days. The biggest thing is, don't number the days that are behind you. Don't worry about the past. Don't worry about your failures. Don't worry about the places. Were you messed up? I don't live in the past failures but also don't live in past glories. Either. Use the good things of the past to motivate you to move to the future. Because if we're going to number our days, we need to start with today. Today is day number one. We start with today because this is the only place where we can change anything where we still have choices to do it differently and to be able to make an impact with our lives to be the kind of person we want to be to get rid of the habits we don't want to have and to build the habits we do want to have. So today is day one. It really is not. Day 22,000 676 It today is day one. Today is the day that I make the choices that I can start to move and to learn what the Scripture calls the heart of wisdom. Wisdom learns from the past. But now we take those lessons of the past and we apply them to today and tomorrow and the next day. Don't bring forward the things of your past that hurt you that disappointed you and how maybe you disappointed someone else but move forward in knowing that you are loved by God and that you have the ability to learn from what is behind and to move forward. So number your days ahead, not behind. And know that God is working with you and through you be blessed. We're all in this together gang. Thank you for joining us today and ensure to subscribe to the podcast. Check out our website that I am Danny mac dot com. And be sure to join us here weekdays.
