Speaker 1

Good morning and welcome to Starting Right . I am Danny Mac and I'm going to be here every Monday to Friday to help you get a great start to your day . So grab your cup of coffee , sit back and relax for the next five minutes as I help you start your day by starting right when Jesus is coming back .

What it means to me is that the world is going to be a better place no pain , no sorrow , just witnessing his glory and Lord knows that we could use some healing right now . He's going to come and make everything better , Because there will be no more hate in this world . I cannot wait until that day .

All I know is that when Jesus comes back , I am running into his arms and I am never letting go Celebrate Jesus is coming back . Good morning , everybody , and welcome to Monday .

It is my favorite day of the week because we get to talk about Christian music and I love sharing some of these great songs with you , and I know from your responses you love hearing about them as well .

So today we're going to talk about a song that it really is full of hope , because it gives us some promises , some great promises that God is going to do in our lives , Despite all of the seemingly bottomless pits that society and people are falling into . This song provides hope and this song provides an answer .

Before I tell you the title of the song , let me just read you some of its lyrics . It says have you ever thought that the world has kind of lost its way ? Crazy as it seems ? I know it's going to be okay . It doesn't scare me . It's temporary . There's something better . We got forever and it won't be long , because we know our help is on the way .

So keep your head up . Jesus is coming back , and that's the title of our song . Jesus is Coming Back , by Jordan Feliz . And what more do we need to remember than the fact that Jesus is coming back ? Now there is a little bit of a catch he doesn't tell us when he's coming back .

I know there's a lot of people who would like to know exactly when Jesus is coming back , so that exactly 30 minutes before he arrives , they could repent of everything and be forgiven and then know that they could go with him .

And then there are a lot of people who are afraid that he's going to come back when they don't expect it and maybe they've done or said something wrong that they haven't asked forgiveness for ahead of time and that Jesus won't take them . Well , both of those things miss out what the Bible is trying to tell us .

Because God's word is a promise to us that he is coming back . We need to be ready always . That means we need to live the way he's called us to live and to be the kind of people that he wants us to be . In the book of Luke , chapter 12 and verse 40 , it tells us .

In the book of Luke , chapter 12 , verse 40 , it tells us you must be ready , for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect . That's kind of scary sometimes , but it's true . Or in 1 Thessalonians , chapter 5 , verse 2, . You yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come .

Like a thief in the night , it will be when you least expect it . It will be at a time where you are possibly relaxing in other things , where you are not aware of even anything else going on around you . He will come back to take his own , to be with him . Hebrews , chapter 10 , verses 24 and 25 .

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works , not neglecting to meet together , as is the habit of some , but encouraging one another , and all the more as you see the day drawing near . See , God tells us what to do . While we're waiting for him to come , we are to encourage one another .

I know , with all of the bad news that we're hearing , it's easy to fall into the habit of sharing bad news with each other .

Sometimes we want our bad news story to be even worse than their bad news story , or we want to be in agreement with how terrible things are and how rotten things are , and so our conversations devolve into the what's the worst story situation sometimes , and that's really not what we should be doing .

We should be stirring each other up to love and to do good works and to come together as believers . Come together to worship , to sing , to praise God and to build community that loves and serves God . I love the line in the song that says so keep your head up , Jesus is coming back . No , don't you give up . Jesus is coming back .

And when the world gets complicated , we're going to keep on celebrating because we know that Jesus is coming back . I'm going to leave you with a short clip from the song . Today , and in your show notes there will be the YouTube link where you can listen to the entire song . I hope you have a great day , my friends .

We will talk again tomorrow , a day at time . No , the trumpet's gonna go and the skies are gonna open wide . Oh yeah .
