Jill Manapat is the founder and chief saliksiker of Saliksik, a research curation and crowdfunding platform that aims for more efficient innovation adoption in society.
Jill is a part-time lecturer and founder of the Humanitarian Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Design (HEED) course and research group in the University of the Philippines Diliman. Saliksik is currently partnered with DOST, delivering the research efforts of HEI's in Region 10 for the benefit of the people.
We talk about the state of research in the Philippines, the value of research in society, humanitarian engineering, and transitioning from a full-time assistant professor to a full-time startup founder.
